Emily POV:
It a monday morning, I’m woken up by the irritating sound of the alarm set by my dad. Quickly i get off bed heading to the bathroom. I brush my teeth and take a short bath. I put on my school uniform,apply a little make up and make a neat bun on my hair. I took my phone and a smile fills my face. James sent me a message " morning sweetheart, hope you slept well my love, have a good day my Queen, James loves you to the moon and back".
I smiled walking to the kitchen and I’m astonished when i find my mom awake.
Mom: stop staring already
Me: hangover??
Mom: morning to you too I chuckled
Me: morning mom.
I just ate cornflakes,and wait for my car….immediately it arrives, i say goodbye to my mom and run to catch my car. Within 20 minutes I’m outside our school, Nina is already waiting for me. Well Nina and i have been best friends for 2 years now. She's got my back and i got hers.
Nina: yooo b***h(mybitch) I smile, this one is crazy.
Me: my person
Nina: you good??
Me: As you can see
Nina: okay lets rush we dont want mr handsome in our case. I laughed
Me: you sure wont stop calling him that.
Nina: baby the man is sexy
I just shook my head, she is even making this silly facial expression. We attended assembly then walked back to our classes. It the third quarter so we only left with a few months to write our final exams. The classes start as soon as we get in and boom it break time. Nina's boyfriend is Joshua whose doing Grade11, not that he is younger just that he failed last year. While me on the other hand got James who is doing grade12 but at a different school from ours. We spent the whole break time eating junk, chatting and laughing. The bell rang, we attended our last period and it was school out. I waited for my car and left Nina behind since her house was near by the school. I know I shouldn't be suprised that my parents weren't at home but i had a little dissapointment cause i'd hope that i find them home.i found Beauty our helper who is such a sweet soul.
Her: you back already pumpkin
Me: yeah, where are your employers
Her: they left in the morning, your dad said you should text him when you arrive.
Me: they never cease to suprise me, i wonder where they off to now.
I headed to my room and called James. James: my heart….My heart beat just increased, i couldn't break up with James, Nigga got me in-love with him.
Me: My love
I said with a low tone
James : talk to me love
Me: i wanna see you
James: I’m coming, wait where are your parents?
Me: i dont wanna talk about them, please come by the park.
James: on my way lovey.
I dropped the call and changed into my ripped denim jean, crop top and sandals. I headed downstairs, Beauty was busy cooking.
Me: I’m going out
Beauty: okay sweety be safe, and dont come back late i dont want to be eaten by your father.
Me: dont worry it for a few minutes.
I found James already waiting by his car. Oh wait, James’s father is one wealthy man, he owns businesses too and i guess him and dad are business rivals. I just dont know when and how the hatred began.he was smiling and as soon as i approached him, he picked me up and kissed the hell out of me.
I was literally breathless.
Me: wow such a nice fellow
James: and by the way you blushing, im convinced you want more.
I smiled.
Me: how are you too
James : better now since my other half is here with me.
Me: stop making me blush please
James: i love seeing you acting shy
Me: who said I’m acting
James: who you talking to ma’am ??
Me: you not funny mr, let go sit down.
We sat down talking non stop. My James was the best.
James: babe
Me: love
James: how long are we gonna ignore the fact that your parents does not approve of us?
I looked at him with teary eyes.
Me: i dont know babe, i really dont know.
Then it was silence, we were both miles away with thoughts until we were disturbed by my furious father standing next to us.
Dad: I thought i told to stay away from this boy Emily Brown.
You see dad was not shouting but his face wrote angry, and when he calls me Emily Brown i know i've just made him that much angrier. nobody told one another cause we both stood up. James was so scared while i nearly pee myself.
Dad: and you
He pointed at James
Dad: i told you to leave my daughter alone, i guess you both won’t listen.
Me: James go please
James looked at me with so much sadness, i wanted to hold him but i couldn't, we stared at each other until dad mumbled
Dad: Now you wanna kiss each other on my presence??
All his time James kept quiet, i wonder what was going on his mind. He shaked my hand and left.
Dad: boy if i find you with her again I’m gonna mess you i tell you. He said and looked at me with so much anger.
Dad: you just had to be hot headed Emily.
I looked down with tears floods on my face.
Dad: dont act all innocent lady, come let go we got guest and make sure you wipe those tears and put a friendly face.
I did as told and we headed home, outside there were 3 different expensive cars. Walking to the living room i saw my worst nightmare, so this was really happening.
