A SECOND CHANCE MAYBE?(SEQUEL TO FALLING FOR BRUCE)

BRUCE STONE CLARK It's yet another day, i wake up early as usual, in fact it's my alarm that usually wakes me up every day. I yawn as i get out of bed, it's on Thursday and I'm feeling tired already, I just can't wait for the week to end so I can relax in my house all alone,going through my gallery, watching movies and drinking myself silly. This has always been my trend ever since Brianna left that night,i have never set my eyes on her,and i remember on several occasions when i tried reaching her I'd be blankly told she didn't want to see me. It sucks that i have missed her and yet we can't talk, i asked my cousin to give me her number but 'bestfriends' as she said don't go against their friends wishes,Brianna asked her not to give me her number and I totally understand that, i know i f****d up and that's why I'm willing to do anything to win her back, i know she moved on but i still have hopes of getting her back,hopes of making her mine and making her love me, like she always did. I've been seeing several pictures of her and her famous chef boyfriend and I'm super jealous about that,i know i don't own her but i hate it when someone else apart from me touches her or holds her. Wait! My cousin's wedding is on this Saturday and that means I have no freedom at all,I'll have to attend because first she's my cousin and second I can't miss her wedding, she'll kill me if I miss. So i guess this Saturday is already booked. I walk straight to my adjacent bathroom and do my morning routine, i brush my teeth, wash my face and proceed to the shower, i always take a cold shower on times like this so I'm already used to that. I walk out of the shower clean and fresh, dry myself clean and proceed to my walk in closet,i pick my black suit together with a white shirt, i put them on, adjust my tie, wear my shoes and once I'm satisfied with the look, i pick my briefcase from the couch, my phone and the car keys, i walk out of my room and head to the living room. Tea is already set on the table, some omelettes,pancakes and sausage. I proceed to sit. "Welcome Mr Morton" Esther my house help says as she hands me some napkins "Thank you Esther" i say and proceed to take my breakfast in silence. When Brianna broke up with me or rather when she left, i moved from that penthouse and made dad sell it because it had bad memories, i couldn't imagine how i would stay in the same house that Brianna found me almost cheating on her with her own cousin, i had to move out, so i went to stay at my parent's place until after I graduated. When I started managing the company, MORSTONE CAR MANUFACTURING COMPANY, i bought my own penthouse, i wanted a private life from my parents place, i wanted to start a fresh, so i bought this penthouse, it's close to the company, just fifteen minutes drive to the company premises, I've been staying with Esther for the past two years, she's been my only company in the house and I'm glad i have her, although she doesn't stay around but comes in the morning and goes back to her own home in the evening, i was totally okay with that. Apart from Esther, i got my own chauffer, i loved driving until i got an accident weeks after Brianna traveled to California for her studies, i opted to employ someone who could be driving me around. I never moved on ever since Brianna left, although I've been seeing her pictures on the media with that Barry guy, i I wished doesn't love him, I've been doing my own research and I'm glad she doesn't love him back, just from the look of things, the way they hold each other just speaks volumes. After I'm done with my breakfast, i stand up ready to go out when Esther shows up, k presume she's here to clean the table and take the dishes "There are some clothes in the laundry bucket in my bathroom please clean them" "Okay sir, what should I make for dinner today?" She asks and i remember i s***h give her a menu everyday, I've been working out and i always check ok my diet "I'll send you later today" "Okay sir" she says and heads back to the kitchen. I walk out of the house, into the elevators and in the lobby of the house, my Black jaguar is already waiting for me,my driver opens the door for me and i slide in,he closes the door and proceeds to drive us out of the compound. After about twenty minutes we are already at the compound, he parks the car in the VIP section in the lobby and proceeds to open the door for me "Have a good day sir" "Okay Dominic, be here on time " i say to him as i adjust my suit "Okay Sir" he says and i walk towards the entrance. I walk into the entrance and into my office, i pass by my Personal Assistant's office before I go to my office. "Good morning sir?" She says "Morning too miss Valarie, any meeting for me today?" "Not yet sir" "Okay keep me posted will you?" "Okay sir" I walk into my office and walk straight to my swivel chair, i siy down and adjust it so I'm facing the other side, it's a glass walled office so I'm able to see a lot of events going on in town from my position. After a few minutes,of staring and doing nothing, i decide to use my phone and boom and cons across the best news I've ever heard before, there's a catchy headline and in fact it's breaking news on Tuko news "THE FAMOUS LATE MR MORTON'S DAUGHTER,DR. BRIANNA MORTON,IS BACK IN TOWN, ACCORDING TO CLOSE SOURCES, SHE HAS BEEN STAYING IN THE US FOR SIX YEARS FOR HER STUDIES,BUT SHE'S NOW BACK HOME AND ALONG SIDE HER IS HER FAMOUS CHEF BOYFRIEND, BARRY WILLIAMS AND HER CLOSE FRIEND, MELANIE MARTINEZ, BELOW ARE THEIR PHOTOS WHICH WERE CAPTURED WHILE THEY WERE ALIGHTING FROM THEIR PRIVATE JET" The news is both hurting and relieving, I'm glad she's back but her boyfriend is becoming a bother to me, I thought she would come alone but she had to tag that son of a b***h along, i guess she's here because of Ruby's wedding which is due tomorrow according to my diary reminder, and here I thought it was ok Thursday, man! I had a lot to do, especially now that the love of my life is back in town, i have to do anything possible to win her back no matter what, I'll use those few days she'll be in town to lure her back, i really need her back and that's a fact. "Sir your dad is here to see you" miss Valarie, my PA says "Just let him in" i say and turn my swivel chair so I'm facing the door "Son?" Dad calls from the door before he settles on the office couch "Yes dad, welcome in, coffee or tea?" "No nothing son I'm not overstaying" he says dismissing my suggestion "Ooh okay, so what's up any good news about the delivery of the new stock?" "Yeah actually that's what I came to tell you, Rodgers just told me the stock is almost on the cost so we should start arrangements" "I'll work on that dad" "Okay sure and have you heard about the news?" He asks "No what news?" I ask oblivious of what he's trying to tell me "Your fiancee is back son, you should look for her, she's a nice girl and you shouldn't waste any time, i know you f****d up but you need to act like a man you are right now, get your ass off that seat and make her yours like she was before trust me you'll not regret this" dad says and stands up from the couch ready to go out "I will dad I'm only hoping she accepts my apology and comes back into my life i miss her" i say desperately and my dad nods "I know son,now go for what makes you happy" he says that and walks out not before passing me the last glance, i remain in the same state for a minute before I make up my mind, it's now or never! I say more to myself I pick my phone from my office desk and dial the number I've been meaning to call for the longest time.
