CHAPTER 26 In the days that followed the m******e, I found myself unable to focus on anything else. I had escaped certain death back in the cavern, but my mind seemed intent on forcing me to relive those horrible moments. Every time I closed my eyes all I could see was a horde of those foul creatures, trampling over one another to hack me to pieces. I saw the faces of my fallen comrades. Their terrible, pain-filled screams rattled around my brain non-stop. I found no respite in sleep; for the few minutes that I was lucky enough to lose consciousness, those images followed me.
