Miles's POV
Maybe I should have given Daphne a heads-up about lying to Grandfather that she was pregnant. This was the only way I could get him to believe me.
"Yes, Grandfather, she wanted to give it to you as a surprise, and that’s why she’s stunned that you know about this already. I’m sorry, Daphne, I couldn’t keep the secret from Grandpa no matter how much I tried," I say with an awkward smile.
"I am sorry, Grandpa. It was my wish to tell you myself, and now the surprise is ruined," Daphne says, pouting her lips. I’m glad she’s going along with this lie.
"It’s okay, Daphne. How are you feeling now? Are you feeling much better?" he asks with concern.
"Actually, I need to rest now. I’m tired," she says.
"Okay, okay. Miles, take her upstairs to her room now," Grandfather says, worry
