"Ouch!"
Joshua winced pulling himself backward as princess Amelia smiled at him cheekily. The antiseptic cotton was left in the air as the prince pouted fighting the temptation to rub his hand over the cut on his forehead to make the sting vanish.
Prince Brian paled watching Joshua howl in pain. In reality, Joshua was being overdramatic, this would be the first time he had to deal with antiseptic medicine and as much as he didn't want to scream he couldn't help it and ended up yelping out loud.
"Come forward."
The princess ordered and the prince glared at the window behind her forcing himself forward. She gently cupped his jaw from her free hand and brought the septic pad down to his forehead, he flinched backward. Noticing his reaction the princess leaned forward brushing his strands aside and blowing on his wound to apply a cooling effect.
A blush ignited the prince's face as Brian watched on entranced by the show of affection that Amelia was putting up.
"All done. You're a strong young boy."
She commented boosting his deflated ego as he grinned widely his cheeks tinted pink as she applied the band-aid to his cut and pulled back.
"Is there any other injury for you?"
"No, I think he's fine and it's my turn now."
Brian spoke up trying to scoot towards the corner in front of the princess.
The princess sat at her riveting chair in front of the beds' corner tending to Prince Joshua's wound. Both of them had been scared and reluctant to enter and go first so the princess chose the younger one to go first. Of course, after loads and loads of whining from Joshua's side was she able to make the prince settle down enough for her to begin helping him.
Joshua rolled his eyes at Brian before moving enough to give the prince space.
"I think you're quite alright."
"But I hit my head somewhere and it hurts."
Brian replied making the princess's brows furrow as she bent forward gently pulling the prince towards herself completely oblivious to the way he gulped. Her hands gently ran against his scalp inspecting it to make sure there wasn't a bump. She applied a bit of pressure to where she thought she felt a bump and the prince groaned.
"you definitely did."
The Prince nodded his head gently making her sigh and glance at Joshua.
"Can you get Prince Holland?"
Brian stared at her wide eyed as Joshua walked away.
"Is it serious?"
He questioned while swallowing nervously.
"No, but we need an ice pack."
"Oh."
"Can you turn, so I can check it properly?"
"Okay."
The prince lifted his legs and removing his shoes he sat down at her beds center legs crisscrossed. The princess got on the bed behind him and combed her hands through his hair again locating the bump.
She patiently waited for prince holland and as soon as he arrived, she removed her hand and showed holland the bump.
"We need Levi, Joshua go get Levi."
Joshua nodded running out of there at top speed to get Levi as quickly as he could.
"Wow, he's fast."
The princess commented feeling the rush of air that remained as Joshua sprinted out of there at top speed. Prince Holland gave a nervous chuckle as Prince Brian rolled his eyes at Joshuas stupidity.
"He sure is."
The prince muttered in return ready to talk to Joshua about this incident later on.
"Why are we calling Prince Levi?"
Because he has healing abilities.
"So he can lecture them properly."
The princess just gave him an unbelieving look and he sighed. There was no way that she would believe that but much to his happiness she didn't question ahead.
"You called?"
Prince Levi questioned showing up in the doorway.
"Yes, can you take Brian with you he seems to have hit his head somewhere."
"Alright, come along."
Prince Levi sighed before turning around and walking out of there with Brian and Joshua hot on his heels.
"Sorry for troubling you with this on your first day here your highness."
"No problem, it's your first day too."
"Well... yes it is but this would be the first time you have to deal with one of their shenanigans and hopefully the last."
The princess chuckled before giving him an assuring look.
"Don't worry about it Your Highness, it's just like dealing with Diana."
"Oh, does she do something similar to this?"
"No, but she and Claire do have some beef."
Holland let out a low laugh.
"Is the food here?"
Holland laughed harder at the eager look she had at her face making her giggle in return.
"Yes Your Highness, it's finally 2:00 PM."
"Fantastic, what are we waiting for then? Let's go!"
Exclaiming like a child she rushed out of her room dragging an amused Prince Holland along.
"Finally."
She mumbled and gave the prince a sheepish smile when he chuckled. They opened the door to the dining room and entered only to find all the other princes already seated there.
"How are you now?"
She questioned Brian.
"Absolutely healthy and fine."
He replied making her chuckle and gently pat his head. The action caught the attention of all the other princes. Brian never let anyone touch his head. Ever.
Joshua, on the other hand, pouted, annoyed because he knew what Brian was up to. Stealing the affection, the idea was extremely preposterous but he knew it was true. As much as Brian pretended to hate people he loved affection and whoever was being affectionate towards him could rest assured of his trust and friendship with them.
As the princess pulled back and sat down at a chair that Prince Jack held for her, she smiled at Joshua's sudden change of expression. A mere moment ago he was smiling and now he was pouting and glaring at Brian.
His weird attitude had successfully grasped him the attention of all of his brothers, who stared at him both confused and curious.
Amelia thanked Prince Jack as he took his seat and the guards knocked on the door.
"May we enter Your highnesses?"
"Yes."
Jack replied and the door opened one by one revealing the guards carrying several dishes in their hands. All the royals heaved an internal sigh in relief as soon as their eyes landed on the several dishes in the guard's hands.
They were hungry, so hungry that they could eat a whole human and still eat a whole lamb. Well at least that's what they felt like, however, all of them were finished after the first hour. The guards returned after a while and took the empty dishes back while the princes and Amelia sat back patiently lending a hand whenever a guard had difficulty reaching a utensil.
"I don't know about you but I'm going to go catch up on some sleep."
Prince Jacob spoke as he stood up and stretched while yawning. Within seconds he was out the door soon followed by prince Landon who stated the exact same thing.
"I'll be in my room."
Prince Derek stated standing up and vanishing out the door.
"I'll go check the library."
Prince Levi stated following Prince Derek out.
"I'm going to sleep."
Prince Jace stated slowing pushing himself up and walked out the door. He was soon followed by Prince Ace and Claud, who didn't bother speaking up and just left silently. Princess Amelia, Prince Jack, Prince Holland, Brian, Lance, and Joshua were the only ones left behind as neither of them felt tired.
"Anyone knows what we should do now?"
Prince Lance spoke up making the other 5 people present in the room wonder the exact same thing.
"How about we tour around?"
Prince Brian stated and Joshua, Amelia, as well as Lance, immediately agreed.
"We'll be in my room then if something happens this time I will definitely lock you both in your rooms. Are we Clear?"
Both Joshua and Brian huffed but nodded nonetheless as Prince Jack and Holland took their leave.
"They're being overly dramatic, it was just a game."
Brian complained as soon as both the princes left, Joshua nodded his head without a second thought. Prince Lance and Princess Amelia stared at the two of them amused.
"They're being protective of you two because you are the youngest*snort* kids."
"Hey!"
Both the princes exclaimed in unison offended by the word that prince Lance called them.
"You're the kid here."
Joshua defended standing right beside Brian to stare a smirking Lance down.
"Mother doesn't think so."
He stated and grinned deviously confusing both the younger ones.
"What do you mean?"
Brian questioned his expression that of confusion and his voice that of an innocent baby.
"She told Jack to supervise all of us, yes, but she specifically said 'keep a special eye on the two children, don't want them getting into trouble now do we?'"
Both the princes glared at him as he said that, preparing to pounce on him any second. Noticing this Princess Amelia, who had been watching silently all along, decided to speak up.
"Okay all of you calm down, we don't want to be banned from exploring right on the first day now do we?"
Joshua huffed turning to her and nodding while Brian glared at the carefree Lance and rolled his eyes.
"Fine, Let's go."
