The breeze paced between the tense atmosphere of Blythe and Lance.
"First, I wanna get something from this. You very well know that Flugels don't give out information without something in exchange of equal value." Lance said standing in front of Blythe who looked like she's about to blow.
"A-A date. I'll go on a d-date w-with you!" She spoke with all her might that shocked Lance. He chuckled at her statement.
Does this girl even know what equal value is? Hahahahaha! There's no way a date is of equal value to the amount of information I will give her!
He looked at Blythe again who was unshaken by his mocking laugh.
Wait, she's serious!? Does a date mean a lot to her!? On my end, information about the demon royals really don't mean much to me since my father is the only one interested about these type of things.. not to mention, go as far as using his own son to get what he wants.
"So, will you take it or not?" Blythe said, making Lance come back to his senses.
"Oh, right. I'll accept the trade but I won't fill out some of the information that will most likely affect me." Lance said in a monotone.
Blythe nodded as Lance sat on the bench near them.
"Well, sit down. It's gonna be a very very long story." Lance said looking at her who was still stading.
"I-I'm fine standing up." She said nervously.
There's no way I'm sitting next to a beastly p*****t like you.
She thought to herself.
"Suit yourself. Hm.. Where do I start? Ah, yes. The demon sage and master Touya has been erasing your memories left and right."
What...
"What do you mean?"
"I mean exactly what I mean. They've been manipulating your memories since you were young." Lance said.
"That's impossible. We all know memory erasing is not a stable spell and even if it does work, the one who gets spell casted will eventually remember after a few days." Blythe said in disbelief than made Lance sigh.
"Tell me, princess, what does your special skill do?"
"It sees a second or a minute into the future."
"Is that all they told you?" Lance said. Blythe looked down and clenched her fist, not knowing she had already sat on the bench.
"I also know that I'm gonna die someday." She looked down as she said those. Lance was shocked that she knew her fate.
"How?"
"My special skill. A few years back, while reading the history of this world, I found out that there was someone with the same skill as me from many years ago in the Esberg continent. She died and brought many people with her to her grave. There was nothing more said in history pages. I looked up every history book but none of them contained more than her dying with a lot of people that's why I didn't give much thought to it. Until yesterday when I found out about Queen Mirasol. A picture book that shakened my bare soul like I was connected to it. It scared me.. that's why I asked Miss Sevee about it. She told me that the person in Esberg with the same skill as me died at age 20 and self-destructed, leaving the whole continent to dust. I didn't know that.. Nobody talked about such history and it wasn't written in any books. That's why... I wanna stop that from happening. Stop the disaster from happening. And to be able to do that.. I have to know.. everything." Blythe said looking at Lance with fierce eyes.
"Then you should know that every skill has a weakness, no exception. Foresee's most weakest point is the past. All mana in our body flow constantly from our head to our toes. The brain, specifically, receives a lot of mana that's why all spells are born in it. Special skills have a special kind of mana which are only found in the brain of an individual. That mana turns both ways. The good and bad. The good is the special skill we have. For every magic user, good mana is what mostly develops. But that doesn't mean the bad mana disappears. It stays in our brains until we become dust and manifest as a weakness of an individual." Lance said as he looked at Blythe who was in disbelief.
"So, you're saying that my weakness is the past?" She asked.
"Naturally, memory erasing for any human or non-human would be close to impossible. But because of your special skill, erasing your memory is like eating cake with a silver spoon." Lance answered.
"Can I still regain my memories?" She asked hopelessly.
"I can reverse the spell. But you have to brace yourself for what you are about to remember." Lance warned as Blythe thought about it seriously.
She took a deep breath and looked at Lance with ferocious eyes.
"I'm ready."
"Close your eyes." Lance said as Blythe obeyed his words. He placed his hand in front of Blythe as he casted the spell
"phantom reverse." he casted as he felt a pinch in his chest that made him groan and stop.
"Are you okay!?" Blythe said opening her eyes and held Lance's shoulders.
"Yeah..They put a pretty strong force field around your memories." He said with a smirk and an aching chest.
"Can you still do it?"
"I wouldn't be called the dark prince of the flugels if I couldn't." He said, feeling challenged with the force field the adults placed around Blythe's memories.
"Don't push yourself, please. I can go to my parents and ask them to regain my memories." Blythe said.
"Do you think the adults even care?" Lance glared at Blythe.
"How sure are you that they won't just erase your memory of this moment again? The adults only care about themselves! And there's no exception to that." He said with a beastly look on his face. Blythe looked horrified but still placed her hand on Lance's head.
"What.. have they done to you?" Blythe asked with sorrowful eyes, shocking Lance to his core. He was so sure Blythe would run away. He smirked and shrugged himself. He pulled his hair back and looked at Blythe with a menacing look.
"We shall continue."
"But-" Before Blythe could even speak, Lance placed his hand in front of her casting the spell again, this time, something snapped that made Blythe freeze.
"Blythe! Oh, dear, you've killed the magma blossoms again.."
"Hehe.. It's so fun to kill them, mama!"
"Blythe! Look at this room! It's burnt down to a crisp!"
"But I really like burning everything on fire.."
"Look! Master, There's a family of lava ducks! Let's kill 'em!"
"No! Blythe! Aghhhh" Master Touya falling down after hitting the blow, Blythe shot.
"Voci! You shouldn't be here!"
"Die."
Blythe came back to reality as tears started to form in her eyes.
"They erased them.. so I wouldn't feel shame and guilt.. All this time. They were protecting me from destructing and I.. didn't even notice." She said as tears continued to flow. She looked down as Lance fell on the ground, groaning in pain as his body became paralyzed.
"Lance!" Blythe yelled as her tears continued to poor.
"Hang on, okay?? We'll get you to the clinic!" Blyrhe said barely making out words.
"D-Did you remember them?" Lance asked with all the strength left within him.
"Y-yes.." Blythe said still crying.
"Yes, I did." She said forcing a smile to ease Lance's worries.
"That's..great." He said before collapsing on the cold ground.
--
The white sheets fabric smell lingered the clinic as Blythe watched over Lance who was still unconcious.
You've given it your all just to unlock my memories.. but why? What do you get from doing that? Just what is in your head Lance..
"Lance.." A voice she's heard before neared her.
Olivia and Vivien walked near them. Olivia looked worried while Vivien looked more furious than worried.
"What happened to him?" Olivia asked in a concerned tone. Blythe couldn't speak about her regaining her memories especially that she hurt both Olivia and Vivien in the past.
"Btch, you won't answer!?" Vivien said grabbing Blythe by the collar who avoided their remorseful gaze.
"You... did this... didn't you?" Vivien said, shocking Blythe as she let go of her collar making Blythe stumble on the floor.
"You... monster. Leave." Vivien said.
"Viv, let's not jump to conclusions." Olivia said trying to calm Vivien down.
"I said leave! Now!!" She yelled that made Blythe stand up and walk out with a blank look on her face.
As she left, Vivien started weeping beside Lance's bed while Olivia comforted her.
--
"Princess." Blythe stopped walking and turned to the familiar voice she has grown up to hear.
"Master.." Tears formed her eyes again as she remembered hitting him with her magic.
"I..I'm sorry, master." She cried.
"Oh, child." Touya drew near her and comforted her without thinking about her regaining her memories.
They sat in a nearby bench and stayed quiet for a while.
"Why did you come here, master?" Blythe asked.
"The flugel king and queen requested that I go here in their place when they heard about Lance falling ill. Alas, I knew sooner or later you were gonna find out who he was since the flugel kingdom has been asking your hand in marriage for a few years now." He said making Blythe speechless.
Touya noticed how sad she was about Lance being unconcious and knowing her, she must be blaming herself for it.
"It's not your fault that the flugel prince has fallen unconcious. He simply surpassed his limit. But how in the world did that child get paralyzed so severely?" Touya asked himself.
Blythe stayed quiet, ignoring Touya's question.
I can't let him know about me regained memories. I can't let him erase them again and waste Lance's efforts. These memories... even though they are bad ones, are mine. I can't lose them now that I have a lot of important people I wanna protect. This time, I'll save everyone even if I have to give up my life.

The child played with his silly toys that float in his dimension when he suddenly hear the door open.
"Come in, Frank.. Maria.. This better be good for you to disturb playtime." He said as he sipped on his tea. Frank and Maria looked at each other and gave a menacing smile before facing him again.
"The preparations are complete." They said simultaneously making the child stop what he was doing and gave a demonic smile.
"Perfect. Let the big show begin."
To be continued..
