To Surpass Dao chapter 16 : Exploring Forbidden regions

“Since everything of importance has been collected, let's check out the core of the forbidden region.” Luo Ping held Yao’s hand and they broke their way into the core region. The cold in the place seemed capable of freezing qi and even a soul. Too bad, their bodies had reached a terrifying level and the cold failed to even get close to their bodies before being destroyed by a domain. The body cultivation reaching a very high level develops its own domain, something that is difficult to achieve even in the dragon clan. Yao seems the first in their clan and due to Luo Ping's practice methods. 

Swaggering through the core region, some fog seemed to congregate at the center, the more they moved the more it built up. The souls cultivating the technique to the fourth realm for both allowed them to recognize treasures useful for their development. The fog seemed to be attracted towards the two and sucked to their souls. 

The most important thing is that many treasures present, have developed to another level in this region. Ignoring the devourment of the fog, they kept moving and piling up treasures. Luo Ping had an idea about the role of the items collected so couldn’t be any happier.

Once more than a few kilometers from the center they managed to see an outline of something big in the mist. Luo Ping ignored the tree-like object swaying and seemed to generate the fog. Spiritual herbs present in the place seemed to have surprised millions of years and the concentration of spiritual power in the place seemed more suitable for their growth. 

The more they moved around the circumference of the object and collected spiritual plants, Yao couldn't help but activate the eye skills she had learned from Luo Ping several decades ago. The skill was designed specifically for her, and evolution depended on herself so they had different skills compared to Luo Ping’s. The difference also became visible in the color of her eyes which seemed to glow golden. During all this time Luo Ping’s eye skills only managed to enter the second realm and the main reason is not being lacked comprehension but the soul power demands of using it. The levels seemed to be dependent on the evolution of the soul power. 

The current soul power of both had evolved to something new due to the existence of consciousness force, willpower, and soul power. The moment she observed through the fog, Yao transmitted to Luo Ping saying,” That seems like a big tree but it's actually a flower. The fog that our souls are absorbing seems to come from the center of that flower and it contains a purple liquid that produces something like vapor when boiling water and it turns into the fog.” She understood that with the current resources in the place they could improve their strengths further. 

Luo Ping heard her explanation and asked, “ Describe the flower for me? Just focus on the leaves it has, the number of leaves, and their colors.”  Then she kept looking at the leaves for some minutes, clearly very mesmerized by the beauty.  She then says, “ It looks like a lotus, and the flowers all seem to be purple with some markings that almost resemble formations on the leaves.” 

They kept moving in a circular manner around the flower and collecting the rare treasures and in the end even approached it. Some insects seemed to live on the flower. They seemed to feed on the soul, but the moment they arrived close to the two an invisible barrier kept them out. Luo Ping waved his hand and collected all of them and locked them up for pill refinement later. 

Once they approached the flower they could feel refreshed and the soul power cultivation kept rising until they decided to sit cross-legged at the center of the flower midair. The liquid in the flower became like small rivers that entered their soul and consciousness improving them until after several weeks their souls stopped absorbing it anymore. They had reached the peak of level four realm. At the same time, they could choose to enter the tribulation transcendence realm. Considering their current soul strength, once they started, all the nine realms would have to be passed before it stopped. The amount of lighting would be immense.

Luo Ping also wished to use the lighting to wash their souls of impurities but before the tribulation, they had to find a region that had lighting all through to cleanse themselves. The purpose is to improve the level of their tribulation in the future.  Luo Ping decided to continue cultivating their souls and body alone until they both reached a very terrifying degree. 

Currently, they had abnormal souls and even Yao of the dragon clan, known for good physiques and poor souls is a scary existence in soul power. 

Yao looked at the liquid on the flower and felt the pain that she couldn’t absorb more. Luo Ping reminded her to remain in meditation and let their consciousness get saturated too. The period this time was too long and lasted for several months. 

Waking up, Luo Ping became impressed because their law comprehension had also become more solid. He then looked at the lotus and beckoned a gourd he had created with huge storage space inside and collected the liquid until it reached half of it. Then dropped several high-quality pills near the lotus before they left it there. The lotus actually could have no impact on their souls thus best to leave the treasure alone after benefiting. The pills seemed like compensation and after they disappeared the lotus seemed to have enveloped the pills pulling them into the ground. 

Luo Ping improved the level of formations in the forbidden zone before they left and headed for the next. He used his stealth ability to move Yao and himself out of the region without any noise. He had a goal and it mattered more than having conflicts.
