Chapter Nine: HER; Obsession Pt. 1

I looked at my reflection as I fixed my skirt while heading out of my apartment for another day at college. I locked my door and came face to face with Eunwoo, "Hey Uh Seungmin, wanted me to tell that he will be missing today." He said I cross my arms in confusion "Missing today's classes? Why? Did something happen?" I asked in worrisome, "No, he just said that he has an interview for some job today and wants me to drive you to school for today." He said I give him a small smile. "Oh, okay well then lead the way, Mr. Cha," I said he let out a little laugh before heading towards the elevator.

"Well thank you for the ride...I'll see ya later," I said as Eunwoo and I parted ways. "Mitzi...hey are you okay?" Doyeon asked linking her arm with mine. "Yes, I'm fine especially after having a talk with Seungmin," I said with a small smile we walk to our class. "Good anyways...you and Chris." She said nudging my waist I look at her dazed and confused. "What do you mean Chris and me?" I asked she smirked, "Oh come on don't act like you didn't notice the way he kept looking at you." She said those same butterflies from last night erupted once again in my stomach.

"I'm sorry I left you guys at the diner... I just had to get away." I said looking at Hyunjin and Yeji "Don't worry I understand." Hyunjin said with a smile "Anyways I was thinking about letting my hair grow out...how does that sound?" Hyunjin asked running his hand through his hair I let out a chuckle. "So are you still on for tonight?" Doyeon asked I look at her "Let guess everyone from yesterday will be there too?" I asked her nodded "Yeah including Eunwoo, Sanha, and Yuna." She said I look at my phone to see a text from Seungmin.

Seungmin: Class is almost over for you I'll pick you I got great news to tell.

"Actually I'm going to hang out with Seungmin...it's been a while since I've hanged out with him," I said replying his text with a yes. I look at the others "Of course if you want I could give you Chan's number that way you could have contact with him." Hyunjin said taking ahold of my phone "Yah...Wouldn't it bother Christopher that you gave me his number?" I asked he gave a small smirk before typing on my phone. 

"Nope besides Chris will be thrilled to have your number," Doyeon said packing her things up.

We walk out of the classroom "Just text him when you can alright." Doyeon said a black Mercedes Benz pulled up next to us. "Oh it's Chris, could it be that he's here for you," Doyeon whispered with a smirk plastered on her pink cherry lips. I rolled my eyes her, "What's he doing here?" Hyunjin asked confused by Christopher's sudden appearance. "I'm asking myself the same question," Doyeon said with arms crossed yet still had the same smirk.

"Hey, Chris what are you doing here?" Doyeon asked I glance over at him removing some of my hair out of my face. "I'm here because I felt terrible about last night." He said looking directly at me, "Why? You didn't do anything?" I asked with a confused look he hands me a gift bag. I hesitated for a bit but accepted his gift "I still bad that you had to leave because of some waitress...so will I'll be seeing you at the skating rank today?" He asked removing his sunglasses. I let out a soft sigh before giving him a smile "Maybe." I said crossing my arms over my chest.

Christopher had a smile plastered on those pretty pink kissable lips, I looked away from his lips before he could notice me drooling over him. "I hope to see you there." He said before heading towards the driver's side. I smile at his kind gesture, I felt Doyeon nudge my waist. I felt my cheeks heat up from blushing, "See you guys tonight." He said before driving away.

Doyeon squealed "Wow. I can't believe that happened." Hyunjin said scratching the back of his neck in a daze. I smiling like a fool as I peek inside the bag, "What is it?" Doyeon asked looking over my shoulder. I close the bag in disbelief "No... I can't accept this gift." I said Doyeon takes the bag and pulls out a Gabrielle Chanel Perfume for woman. "Oh my god, how are you not going to accept that gift," Hyunjin said mesmerized by Christopher's gift. "I'm actually quite surprised by his kind actions," Doyeon said placing the boxed perfume back in the gift bag.

I grip the gift bag tight "So Seungmin said he was picking you up?" Hyunjin asked I nodded my head Eunwoo came over to us "Hey." He said with a smile. "Hey Eunwoo Chris said to be at the Skating Rank at 7:30 pm," Doyeon said earning a small nod from Eunwoo. We look to see a 2018 Kai Optima pulling by the parking garage, "Oh My God." Hyunjin said in disbelief that Seungmin was the one who owns the Kai Optima. "Yoo, Seungmin. Where on earth did you get the money for that car?" Hyunjin said as he approached Seungmin.

I pull my phone and sent a thank you text to Christopher before heading over to them. "Hmm, I see you have good taste in cars." I said with a small smile "We'll discuss that once we leave." He said with a smirk I chuckled before getting inside his car. "Mitzi text me you're still free tonight," Hyunjin said before Seungmin drove away from the parking garage.

"Is the car the great news you wanted to tell me?" I asked he chuckles "Nope." He said with a small smile, "Then what is it?" I asked I glance out the window as we passed by the apartments. "Where are we going?" I asked him to halt at a stop sign and glanced over at me "Once we get there I'll tell you alright." He said before continuing driving, I let out a soft sigh and lean back into the seat.

It was a two-hour drive to what seemed like a cafe shop. "What are we doing here?" I asked as he parked in a parking garage. "This is Urban Space Cafe, you never really got to see any good places while being in Korea." He said getting off the car. I felt dazed by his kind gestures, I got off the car. I turn to look at him waiting for me, I give him a small smile. "Come on." He said extending his hand out for me, I was hesitating for a bit but I decided to take ahold of his hand. We walk to the cafe, "Who gave you that gift?" He asked I look at him "Uh Christopher came by and wanted to apologize for what happened at the diner by giving me a gift." I said looking at away from his gaze.

"Christopher stopped by...hmm why am I not surprised." He mumbled softly as we walk inside the cafe. I felt my inner kid getting really jump out as we entered the cafe. I cover my mouth and look over at him "Yah, why didn't you tell me this kind of cafe existed?" I asked letting out his hand and went straight to the watermelon seat they had hanging from the ceiling. I'm gonna have to take lots of pictures to show Laura about this place. "I guess I never really thought about this place." He said standing over me.

I let out a small laugh as I sat inside the ball pit "Tell me something." I said leaning over for him to hear me clearly. "What is it that you want to tell me?" I asked he smiles "Well you know how my major is photography." He said I nodded my head "There's this company that hired me for an open position, they saw my resume and everything." He said with excitement written all over his face, I smile "Seungmin that's great, oh my god I'm so happy for you." I said getting out of the ball pit and hugging him. "But.." he said I pull away looking at him confused.

"But what?" I asked he let's out a sigh "My first day of work starts Monday morning but it's in the US, a couple of other co-workers are also going. It's more of a team project, we have to go to Los Angeles for some wedding." He said I sat down next to him. "That's great, really Seungmin it's great that you got the job and you start Monday." I said he looks at me "But?" He asked I let out a small sigh "You're leaving and I'm happy, besides I'm glad you're leaving because you'll be able to see the world." I said with a smile. "Don't worry it's just a two-week thing." He said I nodded slightly. Wow... I didn't think it would make me feel upset.

6:40pm 

"We should go get something to eat before we head back home." He said unlocking his car, I look at him "Hmm let's go to a diner." I said remembering how I never had the chance to eat the food at the diner. "Alright then." He said getting, I get inside his car. A soft sigh left my lips as Seungmin drove away from the cafe.

By 7:20 pm we got to the diner, "I'll go order wait here." He said walking to the cashier. I let out a small chuckle, I stare out the window Hmm Korea is really beautiful at night...I wonder how my family is doing. I pull out my phone and began to text Laura.

Me: Hey Laura...I was at a diner and well it sort of reminded me of the good olds with you guys. 

Laura: Hey M, I hope you're doing well. Don't worry we're all doing okay, Dylan and Rosie will be sophomores soon. They both want to know when you'll be coming home soon. 

Me: I'll let you know once I have any information from Professor Kim.

A small sigh escaped from lips as I put my phone away, I turn to see Seungmin was having a serious conversation with that same woman from yesterday...Mona. I wish I knew what was happening between my friends and this woman. Why happened to Christopher's and Seungmin's friendship? Does Mona have anything to do with this? Was she the cause of the broken friendship between Christopher and Seungmin?
