The chicken and the Young Rabbit

206 Words
This is an interesting story about a young rabbit which is catched by an eagle and a chicken which is catched by ahawk . One day an eagle lifted a young rabbit with his claws and carried it off. The young rabbit shrieked aloud pathetically. Meanwhile a chicken was observing this. It made fun of the young rabbit for making such fuss. The chicken remarked, " oh young rabbit, why did you stand there alone ? Could you not keep away from the eagle? What is the use of crying now..?" Just at that time a hawk flew down and carried off the chicken. The chicken cried, shrieked and resisted. The young rabbit was consoled a little by the fate which befell the chicken which had made fun of it. Thus the moral that we get from this story of young rabbit and chicken is that do not rejoice at other's misfortune. Remember, the Almighty is the fairest of judges . Let him repay or punish others for whatever they have done . He is all seeing, all knowing. We shouldn't find joy in anybody's misfortune or sorrow. Surely we wouldn't like it if we were in their shoes. This is the moral from this story.
