Once a young boy stole a new book from one of his classmates and brought it home. He gave it to his mother. The mother appreciated the boy's action. She sold the book to a bookseller. She rewarded her son with fruits. The boy became enthusiastic and he continued stealing. He grew up. In course of time he became a thief. Then he became a highway robber. He indulged in violent acts and attacked people with deadly weapons and even committed murders. At last he was caught by the police. He was put on trial. The court sentenced him to death. As a result he was to be hanged. He was being led to the gallows. Some people followed him to witness his hanging. His mother also in followed the crowd. She was wailing and weeping. The convict saw his mother. He got the permission of the guards to talk to his mother. He went near her and pretended to talk in whispers. Suddenly he bit her ear. She cried out in pain. The crowd became angry and scolded him for his violent deed. The convict explained " Listen to me gentlemen! She is my mother. She is responsible for this violent and awaiting me. As a little boy I stole a book . She appreciated my action if only she had condemned me for my pretty theft, I would not have became a robber and a murderer. Thus the moral in the story is that Habits grow from childhood.
