The Badboy's Redemption

chapter 4

(ELORA'S POV)

After telling him we can never be friends, he doesn't say anything anymore. And I was feeling bad for talking to someone that rudely.

He kept thinking of what he must have done to me to receive such replies for me, and I felt like apologizing, because I wasn't that type of person.

But then I remember the only reason he wants us to be friends, and it made me come to the conclusion that he deserved it.

Why am I so intrested in this boy, when I should be focusing on the teacher teaching right now. I thought to myself.

Then I stop paying attention to him and focused solely on the teacher. And after a while it was lunch time.

Freda and I went to look for the chemistry teacher again, but met his office locked. "Perhaps, he's gone to the teachers lounge" Freda said.

"Yeah, that the most likely reason to explain why he isn't here. Maybe we'll meet him some other time then" I replied.

Then we walked to the students cafeteria and I caught a glimpse of Jayden and his friends sitting on one side of the cafeteria.

So I took Freda to the other place and we had something to eat. I didn't want Jayden to see me so that he won't try to talk to me again.

So we hurriedly had our food and went back to class. Lunch time was over, so the students began coming back to class, and jayden walked in and seemed happy about something.

"I didn't see you in the cafeteria, Weren't you hungry?" He asked. I ignored the question but he just smiled and brought out books to study.

He seemed cool about it, like he had a kind of plan, I try to read his thoughts but he was now focused on the book.

He tries to bring up a conversation a few more times, but I still wasn't interested.

Eventually he gives up. then after a while, classes was over and it was time to go home.

As we were both packing up to head home he then says to me "Goodbye Elora, we'll see tomorrow" with a smile.

I look at him and almost replied goodbye, but then I realized he may think he's getting to me, so I just kept looking at him, he then picks up his bag and leave.

Then Freda as if waiting for Jayden to leave, came immediately he left. "Are you ready to go home now?" She asked.

"Yes let's go" I replied. We left the school and walked towards the gate. The second bus had left to go drop some students, so we waited for the first's return.

After a few minutes, it returns. Then we all get in. When all sits were occupied, the bus took of.

Me and Freda talked for a while before I dropped off in front of my house.

"Hi I'm back" I said as I opened the door. "So soon," my elder brother replied.

"Yes, school was nice tho" I said. "Where's mom?" I asked.

"She went to the store to go get something" he replied.

"Okay, I'll be in my room". I said.

So I went to my room and changed out of my clothes. I then went to the dining room, had my meal, and then went up to my room.

I brought out my assignments that we were given in school earlier, which was on mathematics. so I had done it and fell asleep because I was tired.

I woke up some hours later. It was dark outside already.

I went downstairs and found my mom cooking.

"Good evening mum, I didn't know when you came in, I guess I must have been to deep in sleep" I said.

"Good evening my dear, yeah I figured that's the reason there wasn't any response when I called out your name earlier". She added

" yeah, Daniel told me you went to the store to get somethings." I said

"I went to buy chicken and some other food stuff, so I can prepare your favorites today" She said.

"Yayy" I screamed with joy. "I had been looking forward to it all week." I added.

I help my mom out with the cooking. And when we were almost done, my dad came back from work.

Minutes later, the food was ready. we maintained table manners in my family, but after that we all talked about our days. Then we watched a family movie and then it was late and time to go to bed.

Daniel was done with high school, so he didn't have to wake up early the next day. So we all went to our rooms except him.

I went to my room but couldn't fall asleep probably because I had slept earlier, so I read my books a little, and then picked up my phone to reply to texts I may have recieve.

Freda: good evening Elora. Have you done your assignments yet?

Me: on mathematics right? Yes I have done it.

Freda: this is what I got at the end of it.

Freda: sends a photo

Me: the exact same thing I got too. But we used different formulas.

Me: I hope we are both right.

Freda: we are probably correct, I was just about going to bed.

Freda: because I'm exhausted, and feeling sleepy so I'll see you in school tomorrow.

Me: okay, good night babe. Sweet dreams(with a heart emoji).

Freda: same you dr (with a winking emoji and a heart emoji).

So I went through my news feed some more and rhen realised time had gone by, and that I had to go to bed right now.

So I went offline, and then went to bed. I couldn't sleep immediately but after a while, I eventually did.

It was the next morning and my alarm starts ringing aloud. And I immediately woke up. I had my bath as fast as I could. And then went down and had breakfast.

I then waited for the bus to come and I boarded it. Minutes later we get to Freda's street. And the bus stops for her to enter also.

"Good morning Elora." She greeted.

"Good morning, how was your night?" I asked.

"It was fine, but short. How was yours" she also asked.

"Mine was okay, I guess." I replied.

We arrive at school and after the principal addressed all the senior students, it was time for classes.

Jayden comes into class but doesn't even talk to me. And I read his thoughts but am not able to find anything about me as he seemed to have his mind focus on finding Freda.

Has he suddenly moved to Freda after seeing that he couldn't get his way with me?. I asked

He goes out of the classroom. I then look around and couldn't find Freda in the classroom either.

I started to wonder what could he going on, and if he really no longer was interested in me.

Then Freda comes into the classroom and asks me to follow her to her locker.

I ask her why, but she tells me to just come along and find out.

I follow her to the locker and then she asks me to close my eyes, I felt reluctant to do it, but she insisted.

I do. And when I open them I saw the most cutest teady bear I had ever seen.

"Awwn, it's so cute I say lifting it up. When did you get it?". I asked.

"Its for you." She replied. I was left in awe. Then I read her thoughts and realized that it was from Jayden.

My high spirits immediately drops. "Who's it from" I asked.

"From Jayden. And he also sent this box of chocolates and I think there's a letter on it." She replied.

"He's a very sweet person, I think you should give him a chance." She added.

I didn't know what to say, this was the most thoughtful gift I had ever received from someone. Cause I loved both chocolates and stuffed bears.

But then it was coming from a person who saw me as nothing more than a mere s*x tool.

We both read the letter and it was amazing. Somehow he was able to say the perfect things to make a girl fall for him .But I wasn't moved by it.

Freda asks me again why I hated him, so I told her i over heard him telling one of his friend that he just wanted to sleep with me and then dump me. And then she agreed he deserved whatever I was doing to him.

The bell rang for lunch break. And on my way to the cafeteria I saw Jayden approaching me.

"Hi Elora, good afternoon" he greeted. I could tell from his face that he thought he had now won me over with gifts he sent.

"Good afternoon Jayden, thanks for the gifts you sent, but there was no need for that. It doesn't change anything between us, just so you know" i said and then walked out.

I turned back to look at him, but he just stood there smiling.

I wondered why this boy wouldn't just take no for an answer.

I kept receiving gifts and letters from Jayden daily, and as appealing as they were, I was getting annoyed by them.

In class I was sitted with my friends and then I brought up the topic, they found it hard to believe my replies. But they eventually believe when Freda told them she was present when it happened.

"But these gifts are getting too much, and I heard him telling one of his friends that his just wanted to sleep with me and dump me after." I said to them. "What do y'all think I should do"

"Ignore him" Bella suggested. "Yeah, that was my initial plan." I replied.

"Well, i think you should accept him because I mean that's the hottest boy in school. Any girl would kill to be with him" esther said.

"Even after hearing he plans to dump me?" I asked

"Well yes, as long as you get to be his girlfriend for a while, you should be okay" she added.

"Remind me never to seek advice from you again" I said and we all laughed. Then a teacher came into the class and we had to go back to our respective seats.

It was end of school for the day again. And me and my best friend Freda got into the bust together as usual.

"Freda, I noticed you didn't give me your own advice earlier." I said to her.

"Oh yes, sorry about that, I have a suggestion also, just didn't want to say it in front of them" She said

"Well, my opinion is that you should pretend to like him, and accept him for now. Just pretend to be interested in him and make him fall for you, so you can dump him on behalf of all the girls he has marked." She added.

"Wow, this is a very nice plan, I'm going to go with this" I said agreeing to her suggestion.
