The Way To Roll

We hear another knocking on the door, “My lords, everything has been prepared.”
“Very well thank you.”
“Let us not worry how we will tell your family, for now let’s introduce you to my dad.”
I nod, “Let’s go meet your dad.” We walked out of the room together, holding hands but for some reason the others were standing in the hall in front of Rain’s room.
The first thing Eli noticed was the hand holding. He tried to question us with hand gestures. He pointed as us then down to the hand then draws circles in the air.
The first thing Cam notices is that we are wearing each other’s clothes. They only raised an eyebrow.
The first thing Hannah notices was the ring. “A happy couple, do you need anything for the wedding?”
We both smile and show off the rings. “Would you like to help us plan it? The reception is at the ending of the week.”
“When are you planning?”
“This whole week after we get back from visiting my father-in-law-to-be.”
“Eli, Cam. Do you want to send the invitations to your parents?”
“Why can’t you do it yourself?”
“Because honestly I just don’t want them there. I mean for multiple reasons but I’ll describe it more in detail later. For now I will be going on a picnic.”
“I’ll make you’re shoes but not as a wedding gift. You’ll be getting a much better present for your wedding.”
“What kind of weapons do you like?”
“Music.” Everyone got confused really quick.
“Honey go grab the guitar. Let’s show them how you rock!”
He laughed. “Was that really the pun you made for the scenario?” He went back into the room and got a guitar.
“Let me show you how I roll.” He raised his eyebrows at me, so I pulled out a small bomb like one of the ones I used earlier and nodded. He nodded back, so I threw it and he played his song.
Everyone watched in shock how his sound waves solidified into a hand and destroyed my bomb. Then the 2 of us just walked away.
He took me to the palace cemetery and straight to meet his parents. His mother died giving birth to him. I met them both. It was awkward but reassuring. I know I’ll never fight with his parents nor will he use them as an excuse to break up with me.
We and our food and left them some too. We talked about our marriage and how we are both Aces. We told them everything.
It was so much easier talking to his parents than it is to talk to mine. Especially know that I know what they did.
I get a text from Hannah saying that Eli and Cam are refusing to give the invitations. It looks like I really will have to do it tomorrow. So I asked Hannah to design the cards but leave out writing so we cam wrote them all by hand. She agreed easily and decided to print 1000 for some odd reason.
I told Rain. “Hannah made an invitation card and wants you to review it. It’ll take the burden off our shoulders for at least 1 of the things we need to do”
He looks at the card and approved it immediately. “Hannah did this? She’s amazing! Did she do this by hand?”
“She did, down to the very detailed rose shaped dream catcher in the corner. How many should we print?”
“Maybe 2 thousand. That’s how many important people came to my father’s funeral so unless a few of them died and didn’t have someone take over their title there should still be 2000.”
“Do we have to write them all by hand?”
“No definitely not. The ones going to our families and the Aces’ and their families are they only ones that are hand written. The other ones are printed onto the cards just with the name changed. We have a machine that does that for us. “
We both eat the rest of our food and drink our Blennet Rosa, it’s like wine but not alcoholic. “Fancy that is a lot less stress, plus the Aces will all be here by the end of the week anyway.”
“Speaking of who are the other Aces?”
“Princess Theori has confirmed status as an Ace. King Arnold is trying to recruit King Aries as the final Ace and will have a confirmation on his status within the next day or 2 then shall be here with or without him by the second last day of this week or ealier if he can.”
“Theori, isn’t she great with fashion and makeup?”
“Yes, she is known for her abilities in transformation, and disguise.”
“But can we also get her to make our wedding outfits?”
“If you want I can ask her. I seen some of her things and they are amazing.”
