Do you believe in werewolves?

~~Zeke’s POV~~ After speaking with the elders I was conflicted, it seems my “ human” Mate may actually be she wolf. The elders said that there are some rare occasions that a werewolf’s wolf will choose to lay dormant and not present itself to its human counterpart. Usually it is to protect the human counterpart because they are to weak to shift or because of the circumstances they are surrounded by may make it dangerous to be known as a werewolf. Although this does take its toll on the wolf counterpart and sometimes the longer they are dormant the harder it is for them to complete their first shift. This made me concerned, I knew I had to speak with Aurora immediately. She agreed to meet me and I asked for her to come to me this time. I set up a meeting place in the woods near a stream. I brought a blanket and a basket full of food for a picnic. I hoped it would come off as a romantic gesture but also knew it was for privacy in case I decided to shift as proof. I had no idea how to start this conversation and what made it even harder was the fact that the humans viewed werewolves as crazy, murderous, man eating carnivores. Because of the folklores they have been told and the ridiculous movies that have been made to purposely scare the crap out of everyone. How do I explain to her that we are the opposite and would never harm anyone or anything unless there was a good reason for it? Aurora arrived shortly after I finished setting up the picnic. Her smile stretched across her face and her eyes lit up at the beautiful scenery and then the picnic. “ it is so amazing here and a picnic is such a great idea! I am actually starving!” She says as she skips over to me, making me chuckle. How could you not love her the moment you saw her. After eating I watch her as she is just in awe of the beauty surrounding her, not even realizing she is the most beautiful thing here. I lean in to kiss her lightly on lips, she quickly answers my kiss bringing her body closer to me, practically sitting on my lap. My body immediately responds to hers and I smile against her lips. There is no doubt in my mind that she is my Mate! We kiss for a while longer, as our tongues find their way into each other’s mouths and our hands greedily explore each other bodies. I know I need to stop and talk to her, but I can’t just yet. I need to feel her against me and to taste her just a little while longer. I open my eyes to look at her beautiful face and staring back me is a pair of steel grey eyes. Castiel all of sudden starts jumping around, tail wagging, clearly excited about something. “ what is it Castiel?” I ask me him trying not to zone out too much on Aurora. “She has wolf, I felt her and then she spoke to me! Her name is Midnight!” Castiel says as he lets out a howl of excitement. I couldn’t believe it. Aurora really is a she wolf but she doesn’t know it. My mind was a whirlwind of questions, but first to break the news to Aurora. “Do you believe in Werewolves?” I ask her for lack of a better way to start this conversation. She rolls her eyes and says “no, werewolves don’t really exist.” Oh boy, here we go! I start by telling her we do in fact exist and then go a little into our customs and history. She sits there quietly with her eyes so wide I was afraid they may pop out. They seemed to be a mixture of freight and curiosity. After I finished everything I could think of to say, we sat there quietly for a while giving her time to process everything. I didn’t know what she was thinking, it almost seemed like she was fighting a war in her mind. Mostly debating on whether to run or stay. I could see the wheels turning in her head and then the fear seemed to fade away and as she processed the information it seemed like it I had given her answers to some of her own questions. I waited eagerly for her to say something, anything, but she just stayed silent. I decided to shift and show her my wolf. I hoped it would prove to her that we are different than the horror show werewolves in the movies. I went behind a tree and removed my clothing and quickly let Castiel take charge and shift. We stepped out from the tree and her eyes got even wider, I didn’t think they could but they did. Castiel walked up to her, towering above her on all fours. He nudged her chin with his snout and let out a soft whimper. Her fear faded away and she began to pet our massive head. Castiel licked her face, causing her to giggle. Then her whole demeanor changed and her eyes turned to silver again and I knew right away we were looking into the eyes of Midnight, her wolf. She placed her forehead on ours and we stayed like that for a few minutes then Castiel playful nudged her and ran away wanting her to shift and play with him. I could see her reluctance, now wasn’t the time for her first shift. Aurora had not fully processed everything yet. We had to give her time. Castiel knew we were right, he lowered his head and walked behind the tree so we could shift back. I had so many questions but I didn’t want to overwhelm her. Does she know she has a wolf? How could she not? I was so confused but I knew her confusion was so much more than mine. I walked back up to her grasping her chin gently lifting it so her eyes met mine. “ never be afraid me, my angel, I could never hurt you.” I Whispered as I leaned down to place a tender kiss on her lips. She didn’t move away, she still trusted me. My heart felt like it was going to leap out of my chest. My biggest fear was that she would run but she did not. She still wanted to be near us, she was truly amazing, My beautiful, strong, blue eyed angel.
