What's happening? Where my Dad and my brother? Why are the rouges attacking us? Lots of questions in my mind but I couldn’t get an answer. I don’t know what’s going on around me.
"Sister, why are we running?" Kianna suddenly asked that I didn't notice that she woke up.
"It's nothing, baby. I just want to bring you to a wonderful place," that was all I could think of to say to the child. I opened the door to my Dad's study room and went straight to the wash room. I push the shower down then two walls open up. I hurried go in there and went down the staircase. That way will lead us to outside the pack territory.
"Sister, why is it so dark?" Kianna asked.
"Ahm. Because baby, it's only midnight so just go back to sleep," I replied. I’m not sure what time it is but that’s all I said.
"Okay. Good night," Kianna replied innocently. I just hugged her while still running. I didn’t want to tell her what was going on because I knew she would just be scared. When we reached the end of the passage, I stopped running for a while to breathe. We are already at the border of the Silver moon pack so maybe I can rest for a while. I looked around because I didn’t know where I was going to run.
We have never used this secret passage before so I really have no idea. It just so happened that someone attacked our pack, and what more shocking is they all rouges.
I know my Dad’s warriors are good but I know that the situation now is being serious. Because if the situation wasn't so serious, Mom wouldn't let us go. From what I had just seen Mom’s reaction earlier I knew she was scared and worried for Kianna and my safety. I even forgot to bring my cellphone.
Where are Kianna and I going now? Somewhere safe. Yes! But where? Right! In our Grandma's pack. It's a bit far from here but I might be able to run. I have to cope to save my little sister. Under the moon, I continue to ran again and again. I was scared for Kianna's safety. She was too young to experience all this.
So, no matter what happens, I have to keep her away from here. I just keep running even though I already feel tired.
Maybe I've been running for an hour so I feel very tired. But I still shouldn’t give up. But since Kianna was also heavy and I had been running for God knows how long, I could do nothing but stop for a moment and rest. I was feeling tired when I sit under the tree. If I just happened to be a werewolf, I definitely wouldn’t get tired easily. Kianna was still sleeping on my shoulder.
I looked around. "It's like I've already gotten here, I just don't know when," I whispered.
What could have happened to our pack? While thinking about what was going on in the pack, suddenly, the branch of the tree broke and it fell in front of me. I quickly stood up and then hugged Kianna tightly. I felt so scared when I saw a huge werewolf come down from the trunk. It was even bigger than me so my body was shaking with fear.
"We're just taking a rest. Forgive me if I disturb you. But we're leaving now," I said and then turned around. I started to walk away from him. Did I enter another territory? But even before I could go far, I heard him speak.
"Do you know which pack you enter?" He asked. I turned to him and saw that he was in human form. I thought the wolf was actually the who speaking.
"I don't know. I'm sorry, I'm leaving now, " I replied.
"You're in a Blood Moon territory. Maybe you already know what we do to all the outsiders?" He added.
Blood moon? Did he mean, the ruthless and destractive pack? The pack of werewolf King? Oh my God! I'm so dead.
"Please, just let my sister go. I'm the only one who came in here, don't touch her, please," due to extreme fear, Kianna's safety was what I immediately thought. I know about that thing. I know that all the werewolves that come in here are mercilessly killed by them.
They were terrified by all the packs throughout the continent. And if my memory served me right, my
Dad was once told me that their alpha was the monster. He has no heart and is a ruthless killer.
"Why did you come in here anyway?" His question give men a reason to remember my situation.
"Our pack was attacked by rouges. Mom said we need to leave for us to be safe," I replied sadly.
"And you think you're safe here?" He has a laughable question. I shuddered because I knew I was at the end of my life.
"Please, just let my sister go. You can just punish me or even kill me. But I beg you, just don't touch my sister," he looked at me and then at my baby sister.
"Wake her up, then tell her to run in the north. That's the safe pack for her. You just have three minutes to do that before they arrived here," he replied. Grandma's pack is in the north.
"Thank you," I replied smiling. I'm happy even if I can only save Kianna. He turned his back on us and seemed to be looking around.
"Baby, wake up," I whispered. Kianna immediately moved. "Sister? Is it already morning?" she asked sleepily before she hugged me. I smiled sadly.
"Baby, listen to your sister. Can you run and not turning back on me until you reach Grandma's pack?" I said.
"Only me? How about you?" She asked.
"Your sister will follow you too. I'll just wanna pick flowers for Grandma first" I lied. I don’t want to lie to her but I have to. That's the easy way to let her go without me.
"Okay. But you have to promise me that you'll follow me," she added. I nodded.
"Yes, baby. I promise," I replied and then took off my jacket and put it on her.
"I love you, sister," she said and then hugged me.
"I love you too, baby. Go, now. You need to run as fast as you can," I said. I put her down. Kianna was an obedient child. But before she could run she turned to me first.
"Bye bye, my sister. I love you," she said smiling before she ran.
"Please be safe, baby," I whispered sadly as she slowly disappeared from my sight. She was a werewolf so I knew she would get to the border of Grandma’s pack. When the border patrols see her there, they will definitely take her to my Grandma.
"They're here, pretend your ankle is broken," said the man who grabbed my attention.
"Okay," I replied quickly. Not all blood moon people are evil. I know this one is kind. He was kind because he let my sister go and he didn't hurt me either. Just a seconds later, two wolves and a man arrived. His aura is frightening and his eyes are so black that you'll think he will drown you. The light coming from the moon was enough for me to see that.
"Kill her," he immediately shouted when he looked at me.
"But Alpha, she doesn't have to do from all of this," replied the man who first saw me.
"Beta. Kill her or will I kill you? You choose," he shouted again. Can't he speak without shouting?
"Don't touch him. Just kill me if that makes you happy," I shouted bravely. He is so annoying. He really has no mercy. The way he speaks, it is as if he is not referring to human life. He slowly approached me. He's mad. I know that. He suddenly slapped me hard so I looked at him badly.
"You're happy now?" I asked boldly. I don’t know but I’m not afraid of him. It seems that I am even make him more angry with me because he suddenly strangled me.
"Alpha, that's enough," the man who first saw me begged him.
"I hope killing me, will make you a better person," I whispered weakly. Gradually, my lungs became depleted, making it difficult for me to breathe. From the tightness of its hand on my neck, I knew he would really kill me. But as I stared into his eyes, I realized that it was as if I had seen it before. I'm just not sure.
I closed my eyes and my vision gradually darkened. But before I could faint I heard him speak.
"Take her to the dungeon," he said coldly after knocking me to the ground.
