The Beginning
(Taking you back)
Life had never been fair but it always throws two options at you, either the right or the left and the ball always falls in your court to pick one path to follow. The path you decide to take either makes you or it destroys you, so whatever decision you take in life there are always repercussions that follows because each decision you make have a two sided effect." The philosophy lecturer kept on talking to the students in the class that were not really interested in his very long and boring lectures. Some of the students were already asleep in class while others were pressing their mobile phones waiting for the lecturer's time to be exhausted so they could run home. The lecturer was a middle aged man, with quite a very low and non commanding voice. All of the students but one paid close attention to the lecturer, Leslie was a very young and beautiful lady that just moved into town recently with her family because her father was drafted to that location after 20 years of working with the pharmaceutical company.
Leslie Summers was quite a character that judged life with similarities to the novel she constantly reads to kill time because she didn't really have no friends in the city they stayed before they moved to Luton town. Leslie was the only child of Roger and Brenda Summers, they did their possible best to get their daughter to socialize but she doesn't seem to fit in with the peers that was around her so moving to a new city was quite a good thing for her parents because their daughter would get the opportunity to finally find a new friend and maybe quit her lonely life of reading novels. Leslie had quite the IQ for a 19 years old teenager and she knew more than what people of her age should know.
It was her first day in school in Luton town and she was the only one that seemed interested with the ongoing philosophy lecturer. While others murmured " when the f**k is he going to stop talking and leave the class already"
" It's almost time up for me, so who got any questions to ask me so far?" The lecturer asked . Everyone in the class but one person echoed " we have no questions sir". Leslie had her hands held up in the sky "over here Sir, I have a question to ask" she said. One of the students from the behind said " well the new girl is also a dweeb" and they all laughed . " Let's be quiet class, you seem new because I don't remember seeing your face in the last class so stand up and give a little introduction about yourself before you ask your question" the lecturer addressed Leslie.
Leslie was a very shy type and she already gave the wrong impression to her new classmates who saw her as a kill joy. She slowly stood up from her seat and it was quite obvious that she was really anxious, she began to sweat even before saying anything. She had this fear of speaking in public and she was generally scared of people apart from her num and dad.
She finally summoned up courage to talk "my name is Leslie Summers and I just moved into town with my family because of my dad's work, it's nice to meet you all" she made quite a short speech. " Okay you're welcome to Luton high college, now let's here the question you have to ask" the lecturer replied to her.
"You said that each decision we make in life had a two sided effect, well I wanted to know if the two sided effect only affects the decision maker or it might end up affecting the people around the decision maker too?" Leslie asked quite a confusing question. Amongst all the student was a boy that didn't pay any attention to what was going on in the class room but as soon as Leslie asked the question he quickly stopped looking through the window he was sitting close to and he turned to look at the person that asked the question. He had quite a very long hair for a boy and he was very hairy with a very thick eyebrows. He was quite very unique in his looks and this actually made him kinda attractive to Leslie. He immediately picked an interest in what she asked and decided to get close to her.
"Well..." the bell suddenly rang before the lecturer was able to answer Leslie. The lecturer quickly picked up his stuffs and he told Leslie to remind him to give her an answer in his next class as he left the class. The students quickly followed him up behind as they were already tired and extremely bored up with his philosophy lectures. Leslie was packing up her books into her backpack as she prepared to head home and her pencil suddenly rolled over her table and fell to the floor. She stretched out her hands to pick it up from the floor and she suddenly saw another hand stretching out to pick up the pencil too, it was quite a very hairy hand with very long nails that ended up picking up the pencil. " I believe this is yours" Derek said to Leslie as he stretched out his hands to give her the pencil. Leslie who was scared of people immediately stood up from her chair and she was too shy that she couldn't even look at the person that was giving her the pencil, her eyes was just focused on the hairy hand and long nails that was holding her pencil. "Yeah it's mine thanks" she quickly snatched the pencil from his hands.
" I am Derek, nice to meet you" as he stretched out his hand to shake Leslie. Leslie finally summoned courage to look at his face and she was immediately lost in his blue eyes, long hair and his facial beards. She immediately stretched out her hands to shake him so that it won't look weird that she was staring at him for over thirty seconds.
There was already something about Leslie that was already very striking to Derek and it wasn't just about her beauty. Long ago, in a very ancient tale, tells a story about a lady that would come be the Savior needed for all living beings on earth, for an unimaginable evil is coming and no single race or clan or creature will be able to stop it alone.
Derek was actually a Werewolf and he was part of the family of the head of the pack. He was quite secretive in all his doings and didnt actually fancy having any friends that are not amongst the pack. He believes to have a great responsibility and role to play in the pack and in the town and as such, he needs to exclude himself from things that would get him noticed.
Long ago, there was an ancient war in Luton town that raged for ages. Luton town is home to various mythical creatures but they have retreated to the shadows but they still exist. The war was between the Vampires, Werewolves, Witches and later on the Hybrids. Each set of creatures desired to have total control of the town but it wasnt going to be an easy task. The Vampires were the strongest of each of them, with their overwhelming speed and strength, they were a force to be reckoned with but their main problem was the exposure to sunlight. For some time, they actually ruled the town because none of the other creatures actually knew what was their weakness and how to kill them. Later on, they started paying close attention to the Vampires and certain weaknesses were found and this actually somewhat levelled the playing ground.
