“I heard about it, you don’t have to look so depressed,” I said to her flatly, “I heard you weren’t even present in the courtroom that day.”
She rolled her eyes, seated beside me on the bed with a frown etched on her face, “There was no way I was going there, Maxwell. What did you expect me to do?
