"Jackson are you sure you sure you want to take us in, if Luis finds out that you’re helping us he will attack your pack”I hiss out . Jackson has never been afraid of Luis but I on the other hand am terrified of Luis. “Lyssa you know I will do everything in my power to protect you and Lydia what happened 16 years ago will not happen again, don’t forget the pack was once your pack they will protect you no matter what” Jackson rushes out. “I will think about your offer and will let you know” I respond and end the call. I met Luis when I was 15 when I accompanied my father the Alpha of the of the Waystar pack to an Alpha meeting at Luis’s pack the Moonstar. Luis was 17 at the time and it was lust at first sight. I’ve never seen anyone in our pack look like Luis he was Tall, dark black hair with the prettiest green eyes I’ve ever seen. He was at least 6’2 and the muscles on this man had me falling weak to my knees, literally I tripped as soon as I saw him he took my breath away. Of course Luis caught me in his big strong arms “are you okay miss” he said smiling down to me with his perfect green eyes looking into my soul. “Come on Alyssa you know better than to remember the good times with Luis he’s a monster” I say out loud to myself. Wolf shifter’s shift on their 16th birthday into their wolf for the first time and when Lydia didn’t shift on her 16th birthday I had hope. I settled us down in Clearwater Florida stopped moving us anytime I smelled another wolf shifter. For almost a year life has been perfect, Lydia finally had friends and I finally could breathe. I should have known Luis wouldn’t care if Lydia couldn’t shift he would make me pay for not choosing him. “Lydia please come down here before you leave for Brandon’s house” I yell upstairs. “Mom I got to go, I’m already running late and Michael is expecting me any minute we’re meeting at Brandon’s for the end of the summer party” Lydia says while running out the front door. Flashback “I’m fine” I stuttered with my face turning bright red. laughing Luis introduces hisself “I’m Luis son of Luka the Alpha of Moonstar pack, since your dad is going to be in meetings all day they sent me to keep you entertained” he said smiling. “ Lyssa I mean my name is Alyssa but my friends call me Lyssa” I say trying to sound less nervous than I am. Back home I really only talk to one guy and he’s my best friend Jackson everyone else thinks because my dad is the Alpha I will snitch about all the party’s they throw, like he doesn’t already know I think rolling my eyes. “ let’s get out of here so the big shot Alphas can get to work, my best friend Tyler is throwing a small end of the summer party that we can hang out at” Luis says while dragging me out of the room. “Alyssa I expect you to lead by example of while we are on the Moonstar pack’s land” dad mind links me. End of flashback Reaching for my phone I text Jackson letting him know we will be leaving tonight for Wisconsin. Ever since Michael and his family moved in next door last month I don’t feel safe. I know they are also shifters but something about Michael is familiar I just can’t pin point why. Looking down at my buzzing phone Jackson reminds me to leave after midnight and to bring nothing with us. Let’s just hope Lydia forgives me and doesn’t think I’m crazy when I finally tell her about wolf shifters. “Like that will happen” my wolf snow says while laughing “I told you years ago to tell the pup the truth so she can be ready when she meets her wolf”.
