29th December 1018 / 2018 0001rs While our captain was busy attending to other matters concerning the Guild, I was leading a group of 7 members that consists of myself. I as the Main Tank and leader for the bunch of newcomers - an MT, Guardian Knight, Rogue, Ranger, Mage, Wizard and Necromancer. It was based on 'who is tough enough to follow me' kind of invitation when I sent out a party request. They are mainly casual gamers that had nothing better to do but to take part in this party raid and to gain experience. Furthermore, these casual gamers were looking for an excuse to find out more about this MMORPG, and since I was a lone wolf before, I had been a healer and the main tank all at the same time. "Look here everyone, I may be the lowest levelled core member here in this Guild, but I am pretty sure that I am well experienced since I have to face these mobsters all by myself. I am the Main Tank, but I doubled up as a Guardian Knight and also a Healer. Do you get what I am trying to say?" I spoke loud and clear to the party members that were willing to join me in a party raid to level up faster, gain EXP as well as collect drops from the mobsters. "As for the spoils, I would be the one to decide who get what first since the drops that we would be getting might be duplicates and certain classes can wield them. A Rogue cannot wield a two-handed sword, and a Ranger cannot wield a shield. You get what I mean? At the meantime, once we managed to clear a wave of mobsters, we would accumulate the spoils and then move on. It seemed that there is no difference in this playing field since it is quite similar to where I come from in Ascon. Any questions so far?" I adjusted my leather kite shield on my left and held my Baneful Skewer one-handed sword on my right. The newcomers shouted their replies in unison as we entered the fields where a group of other gamers had finished wiping out a wave of crazy looking monkeys. I looked at the crazy looking monkeys and found that it is only a low level 8. It just won't cut it for the rest of them. To be a better gamer, we have to pick one type of enemy that is par to my level or slightly higher. Without realising, I, Snowbunny, was as crazy as our Guild Leader or Captain, if it was based on levelling up since the beginning of the launch. Since I was carrying a party group of mainly Level 0 adventurers, I had gotten the 7 of them to party up while leaving me still as a lone warrior. The reason is simple - killing a high-level mobster would only yield a small percentage of EXP for me. But for those Level 0 adventurers, it would be helluva leaps and bounds. We all walked on in the middle of the night before we reached a grinding spot where there were no gamers at all since the levels of the mobsters here would be at least Level 10. These newcomers would not know and better not know, or they would be crawling back to their mummies with snot and tears streaming down their face. "Alright, Formation Up. Nice and Tight. Remember, MT should try to dodge rather than let them bash through your shields. Your shield is not Captain America type so don't think it could save you after a few bashing. Remember that MT..." "Healer, watch your Mana pool. Replenish once it reaches 50%. Guardian Knight and Rogue, take centre stage. Ranger, long-range offensive, bring up the rear. Necromancer, cast and bring up the Undead. Wizard, barrage them and watch your Mana too. Replenish once at 50%." "Its time, get ready for the Silver Haired Monkeys...here they come...! First wave...!!!" To get the balance right for the newcomers to level up, I had to run-up to the Silver Haired Monkeys that is Level 10 and Level 11. I started to bash through the horde, breaking their formation and also injure them with a stunned and bleeding effect. *S W O O S H* *C R A S S S H H H* *S H R I E K . S H R I E K . S H R I E K* *A W W O O O O* Once I had bashed through the horde, I left more than 50% of the mobsters stunned and bleeding, and I ran back to the side to avoid their aggro bubble. A single bash from my shield and a swipe from my Baneful Skewer sword left many injured and had a bleeding effect of 10 seconds that deal -5 damage per second. "TAKE ACTION NOW...!" I hollered out and then the long-range offensive began to rain arrows and fire, ice and lightning bolts and arcs into the horde. Since most of the mobsters were stunned, the one that was mobile immediately rushed over in all directions. 3... 2... 1... My CD for the bleeding effect could be deployed once again as I ran diagonally, cutting through the horde. Bashing them with my leather kite shield and slashing them with my Baneful Skewer once again. This combo worked great in a party raid and in no time, the party members had annihilated 24 of those Silver Haired Monkeys. I did gain a few EXP by soloing a few of the mobsters that had run in my direction. As the rest of the party members annihilated the Silver Haired Monkeys, their competency levels rose from Level 0 to Level 3 almost instantly. "Continue to grind in this manner. We have all night, ladies...!!!" The fields were ablaze with arrows, fire, frost and lightning bolts and arcs as well as other Undead creatures that were conjured up by Necromancer. In just 3 hours, the party members had reached Level 8, and it was time for us to distribute the loot accordingly. True to what I had mentioned earlier, there were duplicates of weapons and armours, and the casual gamers started to change into the new mix and match pieces of armour. Although it was not a complete set, the achievement of acquiring them and wearing those pieces could be seen on their faces. "Hey, Leader...What are we going to do with all these duplicates pieces of weapons and armours? Are we going to haul them back to the City and store them in the Votrieburg City Storage? There are so many pieces of them, and it clogs the space inside the inventory. We would not be able to bring everything back in this manner." one of the members highlighted to me, and I suggested the following measures. I had noted of all the semi-precious topaz and white zirconias, and I made them dump into my spatial storage space instead. Then everyone carries the most valued armour and weapons that they could store inside their own spatial storage space. We had bought another pouch earlier that extended our inventory spaces. We would be able to bring back weapons and pieces of armours that would not be able to be wielded yet, based on their low level. After we had sorted everything, we walked down the path where the exit of the grinding spot was. "Where the f**k are you guys going, eh? Better put all those merchandises on the ground and leave empty-handed. Do as I say and your lives would be spared. If you think you are tough enough, we would spam-kill you right till Level 0. You would beg to us and wished that you would not even be born...HAHAHAHA...!!!" A scruffy Rogue with a reddish-black name over his head was blocking the only exit that the party members were going. The scruffy Rogue was RedBandit#1 and seemed to be the leader of this nefarious gang of bandits. These type of misfits were only here to PK and to earn points on the Underworld. "Oii...! Go and pick someone your own size, eh...!!! All party members back off 5 steps and let me through." I beckoned for the members to do so, and they did, and I emerged from the back of the pack. "My...My...My... I never would expect to see a group of red named donkeys in the middle of this place. Why? Is this area your grinding spot? Oii... This is Lord Of The Red Dragon and not any other MMORPG platform that you could rampage as much as you like. See your red name above your freaking head? The moment you enters the City, you would be apprehended and sent to the Crimson Cove Correctional Facility where you would atone for your deeds, cocksuckers. Let us through...!!!" I shouted to the leader of the so-called Redbandits as I readied my leather-bound kite shield and Baneful Skewer in both hands. I am ready to resist and desist these fuckers from doing anything harmful towards my party members. "Such valiant words from a Level 12 tank. Look at yourself... you want to protect these cockroaches behind you? Huh...!!! Enough talk." "R O G U E S...!!! GET READY TO MOVE...!!!" The rouges moved into formation as they formed up and took out their daggers that had seen better days. "You want to take us on even though you are all red named? You would never have been against a tank, right? Let me tell you this, your momma would regret giving birth to such a worthless and brainless son. Your momma is so old that when she farts, dust comes out from her ass...!!! Your momma is so stupid that she stuck a battery up her ass and she claimed 'I'VE GOT THE POWER...!!!'"
