Landing and Checking in

814 Words
We talked the entire flight. When we disembarked, we said goodbye and I was almost caught in the throng of fans that came to greet him at the airport. The airport was crowded and noisy. There was a few security but with the number of people it would be impossible to control them. That made me worry, but I always thought his fans were pretty cool. Later that night, I saw a post from the airport and realized they seriously crowded him and made it hard for him to exit the airport. It took me close to 1 hour to get to the hotel from the airport. I was always glad I made 2 bookings and gave myself some time to arrive for check-in. Once inside the hotel, the noise from outside was greatly reduced. The lobby was clean and welcoming, I walked to the front desk and was greeted warmly. I checked in successfully and went to my room. I called my mom and siblings to let them know I had arrived safely. I also called my best friend and filled her in on the chance encounter. I had a room on the 11th floor with a view of the city. It allowed me to see the different places I could go visit. I checked my bag to ensure everything was there, and then I took a shower since the place was so hot. It was after 5 in the evening and there was no time to go sightseeing. I decided on an early dinner, so I could rest early as well. I chose one of the hotel's restaurants and went to have some food. I ordered a beef soup, hard shell pork tacos and a horchata. At the end of the meal, I was very satisfied. The hotel also has a garden, so I went for a walk. I passed by the pool area where I saw staff setting the area up for a party. After walking, my food felt settled, so I went to my room. That night I had an interesting dream. "I was out shopping and decided to visit a dance studio that I knew he was having rehearsals. I called to him, and he paused practice for us to talk. We walked to a secluded area and had a hot make-out session." Of course, I woke up just as it was about to get better. The next morning I woke early and met my guide, I had plans to enjoy a street breakfast, go shopping, enjoy lunch and then end my day by the hotel's pool. I met my guide, Jasmin, at the hotel's entrance. "Hi, did you get to rest?" "Enough to not fall asleep while visiting the locations today" "Of course" she said with a laugh. "I know you wanted to try a traditional Mexican breakfast, there is a food market close to here that I want to start you with." "Sure, let's go" I said as I pulled on my hat and put my sunglasses into the bag I had strapped across my chest. We walked to the left and crossed the street. Not five minutes later, we walked into a bustling area that was more than just a food market. There were food stalls set at the entrance and further back I could see clothes on the stalls too. This was very similar to the markets back home. "Is this place open 24 hours?" I asked, looking around, as it seemed some were starting the day while others were ending. "Yes, most of the food places will be open all day. The clothing stores and grocers will open at the standard time. The city sometimes has events and the stores will open later". I nodded at her explanation and followed along. "This is Ms. Joyce. She has the best breakfast burritos." "Oh Yeah?" I asked curiously. "What for you?" "Your most popular breakfast burrito, without onions, if possible" "Hmm, sure, sure" she responded and got to work frying sausages, eggs, spices and other seasoning. She toasted a wrap and slathered a dressing on it. She added the fried food and then slices of avocado and wrapped it tightly. She was deft and efficient, showing she had years of practice in the trade. She split it in two and placed it in a container. "Thank you" I took the container and took a bite. The warmth from the freshly made food made my mouth spring water. The different flavors blended nicely, and I felt myself dancing as I enjoyed the meal. "So good" I said after swallowing my third bite. I finished eating and ensure I took a picture. "I have to come back before leaving. Thank you, that was the perfect way to start the day." "Happy and sure come again". "We said our goodbyes are we were off to really enjoy the day".
