Jessie's sleep has been plaqued by nightmares. Eventually deciding not to sleep anymore Jessie pearched by the peep hole she had made. With no light in the house there was no risk looking outside. All she could hear was silence and then the occasional wolf howl. Which seemed to keep the monsters away from her house since none could be seen.
When morning came Jessie hadn't noticed she fell asleep again till the light was in her face. Jessie huffed and grabbed her go bag and bow. putting her arrows on her back and then grabbing her sword and gun. Jessie only had a few bullets but she could collect arrows. Jessie preferred her bow but at times the gun was the better option. Jessie's father had trained her in all means of combat just in case she ever needed to defend herself.
Jessie fully believed her parents were full blooded witches. What Jessie was unaware of was, they weren't. Her mother was half wolf, half witch. And her father was half witch, half vampire. Jessie had blood of three different species but so far only the witch side had ever shown up. Jessie never knew any different because her parents had locked those sides away so her witch side was the only one to show up. To this day Jessie still does not know she has these other parts to herself. She even has a wolf that spends day in and day out trying to communicate with Jessie. To no avail and it leaves the wolf growing sadder and sadder.
Once jessie was happy with her set up she slowly opened the door and made sure no monsters were in the yard. She turned her car on part way only to see how much gas the car had. Only a quarter of a tank. Maybe she could find a gas can and some gas somewhere. Jessie sighed and decided against taking her car. She remembered seeing a bike in the garage so Jessie pulled that out. Making sure the bow was secure on her back, Jessie started to peddle the bike. Slowly she made it to the small town that had one general store and a few gas stations. There was a fire house and a small police station. Everything still looked intact so maybe nobody had raided anything here yet.
It was eery quiet in the town, not to much as a groan or moan. Jessie raised an eyebrow confused. She decided to try the gas station first. The door was locked with some kind of really strong lock and the doors cemented together. Weird. Walking around Jessie found a window that was not closed tight. Opening it she didn't hear anything at first so she tried to climb in. Jessie honestly hadn't paid any attention to the watchful eyes she felt. Not until the was someone grabbing her arms and pulling her away from the window. They pulled Jessie far away from the window and she watched someone else close it back up.
Jessie huffed and tried to fight off the person holding her but some how she felt at piece. Jessie heard a small whimper in her head and finally listened to it carefully. "mate. Our mate is here. " wait what. There was no way this was her mate, witches didn't have mates. Nor did they have voices in their heads. The sparks from the guy holding her were making Jessie calm down but she was still confused.
"please let me go." Jessie asked and reluctantly the person let her go. When she turned around the guy in front of her was not who she expected. He had long black hair that looked soft and silky. Blue eyes and pale skin. He had some tattoos on his body but he looked hot. "thank you. Now will you tell me why you did that? "
"because he's our mate. I tried to tell you not to go in there but did you listen no." the voice said again.
"what the fu*k" Jessie said outloud. and the male looked at her with his head tilted. "Sorry not you. There's a voice in my head I've never heard before." He still looked confused.
"You are new i can tell. I saw you claim the lone house on Albertkerky. We have spent countless houses coralling the Walkers into these places. it may look untouched but we have already looted everything and have it in our pack." Jessie nodded understanding they were wolves. which explains the howling last night. "I awnsered your question. now answer mine. Can you feel the bond?" I took a deep breathe and finally looked him in the eyes. It was like looking into his soul and I just knew. Witches have their fated loves from our gods. We just always called them fated.
"I'm a witch. I won't know for sure until we kiss.." Jessie said awkwardly but he crashed his lips into Jessie's and she melted into him. This was unlike anything Jessie had ever experienced before. The sparks that flew off their lips were intoxicating. "yes." Jessie said softly only for him to hear before kissing him again. Had someone not cleared their throat behind the two they might have marked and mated right there.
"While I am ecstatic to find our Luna we have to get going if we are going to make sure the Walkers don't find us Alpha." Fu*k. I was fated to an Alpha but why. I wasn't even a wolf.
