~ Athena’s POV ~
It was indeed a long and tiring night. I am seriously tired and even my lower body has become quite sore. It’s already morning and Hayden was still hugging me from behind. My body was covered with a blanket. He must have covered me, but since when did this guy become so caring? I didn’t want to get attached to any sort of relationship... not friends, not with my so-called family and not even with this man.
That’s one of the reasons why I tried to maintain my distance from Kris in the academy. I didn’t want to get confided in a sort of relationship in this life of mine and that’s why I tried to push Hayden away so that he wouldn’t interfere with my life or my revenge.
I was afraid that I might forget about my vengeance because of his interference and my fear was correct
