Chapter 12: Superiority Complex

After two weeks, the President addresses the nation from statehouse Nairobi.

"Citizens of Kenya, we have won a vicious enemy, a tiny enemy whom we could not see. We have lost fifty people, our friends, sons, daughter, parents, and leaders, may their soul rest in peace. In the other corners of the world still, they are suffering, come to us and we shall provide a solution. We have overcome and we shall keep overcoming." 

The WHO on their address said they could not support the use of the vaccine because it was not scientifically proven. People did not understand why they could say so, yet the genetic vaccine had cleared the virus and no one was getting infected anymore in Kenya. 

Other parts of the world people suffered, people were dying, the virus killed mercilessly. 

The government of Kenya received threats about their vaccine, they were asked to declare it not true. 

In reply, vice president Lucia said, "Our country Kenya made a vaccine which has enabled us to fight against coronavirus. Our able scientists made the vaccine, we do not need any other scientist to verify our vaccine, you either take or leave it. Countries that are ready to use our vaccine let us know, we shall extend our arms generously. This talk which sounds as if the people are suffering from a superiority complex we shall not entertain such foolishness." 

Lucia's talk gave an eye-opener to many countries, that what some people were saying against the vaccine was just propaganda, and they were not happy for a country like Kenya to come up with a vaccine that fast. 

They always thought it is them to produce such solutions, yet all mankind should be implementers and problem solvers. 

Mankind should learn to solve problems of whatever magnitude by themselves and never wait for other people to solve problems for them. 

The USA and China elites were not so happy about this but other people were fine. 

Kenya supplied as much as possible to all countries in need of the vaccine. 

WHO took a long time before it could accept the vaccine. The USA made a vaccine but it was administered through iv, which made people prefer the one from Kenya. Europe, Asia, and Australia all fought coronavirus using the vaccine from Kenya, and they won the war. 

Brian, "What are you doing here, Mwasi?" 

"I came to see what your research lab looks like. So this is where you made the savior of the world vaccine?" 

"Yes, this is where our arsenal against viruses is located." 

"Apart from the vaccine project, what else are you guys planning to do?" Mwasi asked as he walked across the lab admiring the computer screens and different apparatus present in the lab.

"Other projects are classified for now, but you will get to know about them in our task force meeting." 

"How bad do you think other scientists would love to know how this vaccine was made?" 

"What are you talking about, the only thing they will know is how the vaccine protects and fights against coronavirus and not how it was made." 

"I see, that is interesting." 

"Why do you ask all these questions anyway?" 

"Enlightenment, it is always good to know things." 

"Yeah, some things though you are not supposed to know, it would be safe for you that way."

Mwasi had been compromised, someone from the USA had given him money just to go into the lab with a device that would enable them to access the info from the computer. 

This person wanted the vaccine formula, how it is made. The intelligence team had picked this and were ready to arraign Mwasi. Mwasi and the spy from the USA were caught and placed in custody ready for interrogation. 

That is how Mwasi was fired from his position. 

Tole and Brian met in the lab and Tole asked, "What really happened?" 

"Mwasi came here claiming to be doing a walk and seeing how the lab looks like." 

"I can not believe that he was ready to betray us just because of money." 

"He was asking many weird questions but I never suspected his intent." 

"I can not believe that he was ready to give out our formula." 

"I think he lacks consciousness, all he cares about is him." 

"I heard he was imprisoned" 

"Yes, he should be in that hole and rot there." 

"He is not patriotic, I wonder what he was thinking about when planning to give out his country's secrets." 

"Human beings have become selfish and self-centered. Our project (VOG) victim of guilt, will help us stop this once and for all." 

"Sure we need to roll out this project as soon as possible."  

"Yeah, we shall do that, imagine we produce a solution and some people claim it is fake, they think they are the ones who are supposed to produce a vaccine. When someone else does they rebuke, resist, and spread propaganda that what has been produced is not scientifically proven." 

"I am also shocked, who told them that they are the only ones who can make vaccines or rather their science is what is acceptable and other science is invalid." 

"These are the same people who think they can control the world for their self-interest. They make a problem and provide a solution to it, in order to make profits." 

"So that means we are a bad competition for them and they will do anything to stop us." 

"Do not be scared at all, we are going to deal with them accordingly, we are not going to turn back." 

"May God help us in this, friend." 

Propaganda was spreading all over the world that the vaccine from Kenya is not scientifically proven. 

The WHO had already approved the vaccine, and that it can be administered to people all over the world. It was the best vaccine so far compared to all those suggested by others. 

Still, there was a motion at the WHO to disapprove of the vaccine. 

PEAP group had already patented the vaccine, it was a genetic vaccine designed to fight against all coronaviruses. 

The so-called elites were not happy about Kenya and pushed buttons from all angles to stop it from being declared the best option of all vaccines in fighting coronavirus. The president and his team were invited to the WHO meeting that was going to discuss the matter on whether to disapprove it or not.  

The WHO chairperson coordinated the meeting, "Thank you very much Mr. President and your team for coming. First I would say thank you for providing a solution to the world. We invited you here to clear out some concerns that some health experts have expressed. So I would allow them to ask you questions." 

Mr. Masij, a scientist from the USA asked "Mr. President, I would like you to explain how the vaccine was made." 

"That is a very interesting question which I would not answer, let me ask you, if you design software for commercial use and someone asks you to explain step by step or share with the source code, would you share?" 

"No I would not, sir, I think I did not ask the question well, let me rephrase my question again, how does the vaccine work?" 

"Well, the vaccine works by strengthening one's immunity to fight unwanted antigens. It is a genetic vaccine with a capacity to fight any virus." 

"You claim it can fight any virus, how surely does your vaccine fight a novel virus without knowing the behavior of the virus itself." 

"The vaccine was created by smart scientists and technologists, by it being a genetic vaccine it has the capacity to mutate and fight against the novel unwanted antigens." Many questions were asked and several scientists demonstrated a lack of confidence in the vaccine and many others appreciated it. 

"I came here today because I have a heart for helping the world. Those countries questioning our vaccine should feel free not to use our vaccine. I am here for those countries ready to use the vaccine to free themselves from this tiny but very powerful and vicious monster. The vaccine does work and works effectively." 

"Thank you, Mr. President, for coming out to this meeting, I have noted that the concerns are mere speculation and we can not dwell on them, we are a worldwide body that ensures the people get a treatment that is good and up to standard no matter which or who produces the solution. Our team checked the vaccine and it has no side effects, so I have no reason to disapprove the vaccine from being used all over the world. Any person wanting to use the vaccine, WHO approves the vaccine created by PEAP group safe for being administered to humans."

Back in Nairobi, the vice president is chairing a task force meeting with other members discussing their progress and what ought to be done after. 

"We have begun our war against the bad," Lucia the vice president began, "and war changes people at some point. Mwasi, one of us, betrayed us. Let me remind you that you are here for enabling the PEAP project. People will approach you with tasty offers but I urge you to focus and be truthful to Kenya. Mwasi has wasted himself, he wanted to steal information about our vaccine and sell it to our enemies. Have a purpose and ensure you stand for the truth, never indulge in corruption, or any dubious or shame deals. Another thing, we are here to discuss the implementation of the VOG project as planned before."  

"The project is on its initial stages and the implementation is in progress." 

"The president orders that much focus should be put on the project so as to fight and harmonize the enemies we are facing and enemies of the world. He also stated that soon he would initiate other projects that would run concurrently with the VOG project."

"We are fine with that, but I am curious about the genetic vaccine, people are still dying outside their, yet we made a vaccine which solved the problem."

"Yes, that is a challenge for sure because those who wanted to benefit from this pandemic are the ones stopping our vaccine from being used. They have many issues, they are corrupt and suffering from a superiority complex. Let us be patient, it would take time, but at the end of the day, they will embrace our solution. Actually, we have learned from this when implementing VOG we would do things differently."

The world had seen a solution made by Kenya. All media houses wanted to interview the president, Mr. Mshapa, and his vice President Lucia. Everyone wanted to know about Kenya and this was good for the PEAP project. They wanted acceptance all over the world to create the needed impact. 

An impact was already being felt and people were happy about this.
