Unexpected Turn

Fipa

I decided to stay behind for dinner together with Keith’s family and after that, I need to go home and have a bonding with Belle.

“Babe, let’s go. Mom and Dad are waiting in the dining room,” Keith said.

“Okay, let’s go. I’m kinda starving already. I think I over swam a while ago.” I told him.

Keith holds my back as he leads me to the dining room. His mom, dad, and younger sister are already at the table. They all looked and smiled. Ah! I can feel their warm welcome for me.

While we are eating, someone texted Keith. I can see his mood changed but then tried to brush it off a little when he noticed I’m eyeing him. It made me a little suspicious but I brushed it off my mind.

“I just need to make a call, I’ll be back,” Keith said. I was thinking maybe their coach or his teammates are looking for him.

“ Aunt Liza, Uncle Tom thanks for accommodating us here today. We really enjoyed swimming and all the food!”

“Oh! You’re always welcome here and maybe next time you can bring Nana over. I miss her. I remember her vacation in Chicago before. She used to babysit you and Keith while I and your mom ran some errands.

"Wow! really, I don't remember it that much and Nana didn't even mention that she's been in Chicago before," I told her.

Keith is back from the living room and he looks really upset, I looked at him and asked discretely if he's ok. He just nods at me to show he's okay but I have a strong gut feel that he's not.

After dinner, I said a quick goodbye to Keith’s family and while we’re on our way to send me home. I asked Keith, “Is everything okay, Babe? You look so bothered.”

“It’s nothing I can’t handle, Babe. Don’t worry,” he told me.

“I see, just let me know if something is bothering you, “kay? I’m just here for you.” I said to him.

“I really appreciate that babe and thanks for the understanding.” he glanced back at me before focusing on the road

I received a message from Belle, telling me that she and Lee went to a food park before going home. Belle and I have a lot to talk about later.

We arrived at home and Nana is by the porch waiting for us. She greeted us with her warm smile and say, "I'm so glad you're here! I need to ask you something. I saw this on my i********:!," she exclaimed.

She showed us a picture of Belle and Lee taken by a certain fan of the latter. Oh, I can smell something that is not really good. 

"Oh, Nana! They're just friends, don't believe in anything that you see on social media, okay?" I told her. "Is Bella already here? I asked her.

"No, not yet, they're just on the way home. I think Lee needs to talk to someone before they head home.", Nana said.

"Wow! Nana, I'm quite impressed, you're really updated." I teased her.

"Well, of course, what do you think should I do in this boring home?" she wittingly said to me.

Keith kissed goodbye to me and Nana. 

"Send me a message as on as you're home Babe, bye see you tomorrow!

Belle arrived a few minutes after Keith leaves the house. I quickly ran to her and asked if she's alright.

"What the hell happened, belle? Have you seen all these pictures of you and Lee.?! Nana showed it to me as soon as I got home. She's asking about you." I told her.

"I'll talk to her tomorrow Fipa, don't worry. I just really need to breathe for a moment," she said.

She went straight to the fridge and get a bottle of soda and drink it. It has been a bitter-sweet day, Fipa. Part of me is happy but another part of me is in pain.

"Oh. come on my dear cousin. anyways, let's freshen up and go to bed so that we can talk." I told her as I push her to walk on our way to the bedroom. As soon as we finished our quick shower, I grabbed Belle and asked her what happened.

"Fips, don't judge me okay? You know I think I have feelings for Lee, it was so strong that I can't even control my emotions. Part of me wanted to try it since he told me he feels the same but another part of me doesn't want to hurt Henry."

I stroked Belle's hair to comfort her. My poor cousin has been played by this thing called love at first sight!

"And is the feeling mutual, Belle?", I asked.

"Yes, he told me he liked me but he will stop from there since Henry is his friend," she told me.

"Why of all people, Fipa. why does this ever happen to me? she asked me.

"I don't know how to answer that question Belle but you know I really do believe in destiny. I believe that if you were meant to be, come hell or high water you'll be together. Don't let the past mistakes of your parents define you, Bell! You should stop worrying  about things you can't even control of." 

"You know BFF, you should learn to pray for the things that you want to happen. Ask God for a sign because I believe that strong feelings will be your driving force to be with each other. 

" You know that I will always be here for you right?" I consoled her. 

Belle checked her phone and was shocked, "OMG! Look at my follower son i********:! Holy crap! What am i supposed to do now?
