WE WERE sitting in a white limo – which I was even more surprised about – while Emily drank some champagne and I listened to the music in the background. She was sitting opposite me, one leg crossing over the other. Not like I was looking at her legs, I just inspected them. Okay, fine. I like Emily. It clicked when I first saw Emily this afternoon. Nervousness overtook me as I watched her talk to Ellanor and it made me realise how I liked the way she sticks up for me. So, ultimately – I realised I like her, making this situation very awkward. "Yo, dork. We're here." Emily pointed out. I nodded and got out the limo, to be presented in front of a massive mansion. This place looked like the sort of place that would have a storage cupboard bigger than my entire house. It was huge, with its golden gate, and stone path leading towards the door, which was a big, double door. "Come on, stop staring." Emily said, grinning at me, before turning her attention to the gate and started walking towards it. I walked towards it as well, and watched as she pressed the buzzer, and waited for a reply. "Hello?" Said the person. "It's me. Emily." She sighed. The gate slowly started opening and Emily started walking in, her shoes clanking against the stone pathway as she did so. "Are you coming?" She asked me. I nodded and jogged towards her to catch up. The mansion looked even bigger inside. It had everything I imagined a mansion would have – marble floors, chandeliers and several maids to help out. Emily was currently talking to two people: a man and a woman, who were also wearing very formal clothes. Probably a good choice to follow Emily's instruction and wear a suit. Emily came walking back to me, holding two glasses of a yellowish, bubbly liquid. "Here. It's just champagne." She told me, holding out one of the glasses. I shook my head, rejecting the glass and she shrugged, before chugging it. "So, what are you here for?" I decided to ask her. "My grandparents need to close a deal with these investors. Throwing events like these is just an unwritten rule in the business industry. I needed to be here, because I'm an 'heir' or whatever that means." Emily explained. I nodded, acknowledging what she told me. Emily looked like she was thinking for a bit, before grabbing my hand and leaded me out of the dining room – the room that was chosen to host the event. She took me to one of the bathrooms in the mansion, before locking the door and pushing me against the wall. I was about to question what she was doing, when I felt a pair of lips meet mine. Her lips started moving, and I responded. She moaned before moving her hands to my hair, and deepened the kiss. I licked her bottom lip for access, but she denied, and pulled away. "Okay, we're done here." She smirked, before looking into the mirror to not look like she just made out with me. "Why?" I frowned, and asked quietly. "I don't know. Why didn't you kiss me in the janitors closet?" She asked, before leaving the bathroom. Leaving me to stand in my position, looking at nothing. I came out the bathroom, and my eyes immediately began looking for Emily. She may be the girl I like, but she's also the only person I know here. "Well, hey there." I heard someone say. I looked behind me to see a girl – around fifteen year old – stand behind me in a black dress. Her black hair was tied up, and her intent brown eyes were watching me. "Hi?" I wasn't sure how to reply. "So, who are you? I've never met you before today." She asked. I stayed silent since I wasn't really comfortable talking to her. It's not like there was anything wrong with her, it was just she looked like something outside my comfort zone. I mean, Emily was too. But that was before she showed me a soft spot. Or, kind of. "Silly me. I haven't even introduced myself yet. I'm Vee. Vee Andrews." She told me. Andrews? Is she related to Emily? I decided to ask. "Are you related to Emily?" I asked. "Yep. I'm her younger sister. And you are?" So, Vee is Emily's younger sister. I didn't even know Emily had any siblings. I thought she lived on her own and loathed the idea of family. But I guess I was wrong. I didn't even know her. "I'm Mason. Mason Anderson. Emily asked me to go with her." I told her. "You're Mason? Emily talks about you, like, all the time. Mason is so this, Mason is so that. Your name is always heard. In fact, I dared her to ask you to come to this. I'm surprised she actually done it." Vee started saying, "Emily actually has a major crush on you. She's just too much of a coward to admit it." My mouth swung open. I couldn't believe what I just heard. I thought I heard her wrong, but I was told otherwise when Vee slapped her hand on her mouth, with a shocked and scared expression. "Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god, oh my god, Em's gonna kill me! s**t!" She started saying. "What's with the swearing, Vee?" I heard a voice say behind me. I checked to see who it was – and it was Emily. My face immediately went red, as I remembered what Vee told me. "What happened?" Emily duly asked. "It was an accident! I swear, please don't kill me!" Vee begged. "Why would I kill you?" Emily asked confused. Vee must've plucked up a lot of courage, after saying what she did. "I accidentally told Mason you like him." Vee quickly said, hoping Emily wouldn't understand. Unfortunately she understood pretty while – like it was often done. Emily's face went red, her eyes widened and her jaw feel. "Venus Karen Andrews! What the f**k did you just f*****g do?" Emily shouted. Since it was so loud in the dining room, not much people heard. But there were a few people who watched Emily with disgust for her choice of foul language. Vee decided to speed walk away from Emily, who was turning redder by the second. "Look Mason. What she said was completely and utterly crazy. I, for one, don't do that. Actually, I talk about this other Mason. Mason... Tylers. Yeah! Him." Emily started explaining, but she was talking really quickly – like she didn't want me to understand her. But we both knew she was lying. My heart was pounding, uncontrollably. I couldn't believe it. Emily Andrews has a crush on me.
