My Little Valdez

I still cant believe that I now have my own family. It has been five years since we got married and our twins are grown ups now. My eldest, Arvin Alfredo Valdez V, is my good, responsible, truthful, trustworthy, smart, kind and humble son. My youngest, Devyn Michelle Valdez, is my super cute, charming, talkative, talented, sweet and loving daughter. Both of them are five years old and are going to school any minute now... "Ly, honey wake up. You'll drive the kids to school today" Den said while tapping Aly's cheeks. "Mmhhhmm... five minutes..." "Honey please, they'll be late for the first day of school. Gising na" Aly opened one eye then closed it again. "Kiss muna..." she pouted. "Hon nman eh... Dali na" while shaking her shoulders. "I'm waiting" Aly still pouting. Den sigh in defeat and kissed Aly. It was just supposed to be a smack when Aly holds Den's nape and lock her lips with hers. It turned to a deep and passionate kiss. "Mmmhhhmm" Den moaned at the sensation she's feeling. When Aly heard this, she smiled between their kisses. Aly's hand were now exploring Den's body. And the latter cant help but moan more. Then- "Good morniiiiiing!!!" Devyn entered the room and greeted her parents. Dennise automatically sits up straight on the bed. "G-good morning baby" Den smiled to her daughter while blushing. Aly, still very disappointed, stays on the bed and covered her face in frustration. "Morning..." Devyn climbs up their bed and sits on her mother's stomach. "Mama Ly get up! Get up! I'm gonna be late for school!" "Aaargh! Whats up with school? Dont you hate it?" Aly asked in irrate. "Hon!" Den hits Aly's arms. "My babies love school right? Because-" "School is not just a place to learn but also a place where we make friends and experience the things that will build us for the future" Arvin explained. His body leaned on the door and arms closed. Aly suddenly sat up from bed "Are you really just five years old?!" "Yup!" He smiled showing his deep dimples. "Mama Ly, lets go na po. Later na po kayo maglambingan ni Mommy Den" he said while scratching his head. Den blushed more and Aly laughed. "My son, you know me too well" Aly finally gets up and carried Devyn with her. Arvin went to his mom pulled her out of the room. -------------------- They all sat in the dining table. Dennise called their helpers to serve the breakfast she cooked. She also stirred Aly her coffee. "Hon, you'll fetch them later 'kay?" Den said upon sitting. "Sorry hon, but I wont be able to fetch them." Aly with her apologetic face. "Why mama ly?" Devyn asked with her adorable pout. "I have many meetings with the clients today baby eh. We have a big project coming" "Aaaaw. But I want you to fetch us later po. We'll go to Mcdonalds on our way home pa po diba?" "Devyn..." Den looked into her daughters eyes. Aly first looks at Den then her daughter "I'll fetch you tomorrow nlang okay?" "I want it now! Today Mama Ly!" Devyn threw a tantrum. "Devyn Michelle!" Dennise exclaimed. Devyn, startled, started to sob on her seat. Arvin approached his little sister, hugged and kissed her hair. "Dont cry baby, we'll go to Mcdonalds on our way home okay?" He said while looking at her twin sister's eyes. "Really?" She asked while wiping her tears off. "Yup. But is it okay with you if si kuya muna kasama mo? Mama Aly is just busy so she cant come" "But..." She looks at her parents and back to her twin brother. "Please?" Arvin pleaded with his puppy eyes. "Mmhhmm... okay!" Devyn cheered. Dennise hugged her daughter "I'm sorry for shouting at you earlier baby. I love you." "Its my fault nman mommy eh. Sorry po. I shouldnt have acted that way and I love you too Mommy!" Aly watch her family cuddling. She cant help but smile despite what happened earlier. So she gets up and hugs them too. A family hug. They went back to eating and Devyn started to share how excited she is in her first day. "Lets go?" Aly said to the kids and she saw them nod in unison. Dennise kneeled down and kissed her kids on their forehead. "Bye Baby, behave okay?" she said to Devyn. The latter smiled and nods. "Of course mommy! Its my first day and I believe in first impressions po!" She cheered and kissed her mom's cheek. "Good." Then she looks at Arvin "Take care of your sister okay? And be friendly" "Yes mommy Den" He said and kissed his mother's cheek. "Bye bye po!" Then he looks at his sister and said "Mahuli pangit!" He shouted and ran fast to the car. "I am not pangit!" Devyn shouted back and ran to his brother. Aly giggled. "Hon, be careful in driving okay? Text me after you bring them to school and after you arrive at work. Eat your lunch on time. And-" She was cut by a kiss on the cheek. "Copy that Maam! We're leaving okay? Bye!" Aly was about to run when Den grips her arm. "Baki-" Dennise cut her by kissing her lips. "You kissed the wrong place" then winked. "Haha. Sorry. Bye love you!" and walked to her car where the twins are waiting. "Love you too! Ingat!" Den shouted back and waved her family goodbye. -------------------- While on their way, Aly wanted to talk to the kids but she just cant find the right timing. Until they arrived at the school's parking lot. "Kids, behave kayo sa school okay?" while looking at the rear mirror. "Yes po" Both nodded. "Also, smile parati" She showed them her big smile. Both imitated Aly. Arvin and Devyn spread their lips and smiled widely. "Make friends agad para fun ang school" Aly added. "Opo" "And... I love you both" She finally said. "Aaaaw" the twins said in unison "We love you too Mama Aly" both kissed their mother's cheek. "Alis na po kami" Arvin excused and both went out of the car. Aly watched her kids walk towards the school gate. She gets out of her car and shouted. "Take care of each other okay? Ingat!" The twins smiled and nodded to their mother. Aly entered back to her car and shook her head. "Ganito pala ang feeling pagnaghahatid. Fulfilling na nakakatakot na exciting. Ewan, basta masaya!" She smiled to herself. Aly drove herself to the ValCorp Staple, since she is now the CEO of the company. Shiela is still her secretary and Gretchen is still her partner. Aly entered her office and sat at her table. Shiela followed shortly. "Good morning maam" She entered with a folders in hand. "Good morning indeed Shiela" "Mukhang masaya po kayo ngayun maam" "Yup! Hinatid ko kasi ang kambal sa first day of school nila. And you know what? Ang sarap ng feeling watching your kids walk their own way." "Wow. I'm happy for you maam" "Haha. Thanks Shiela. So, whats happening today?" "You have a meeting at Tagaytay maam. The clients are waiting for you now" "Okay okay. Lets go." ------------------- "Class we have a new classmate, help me welcome her" the teacher looks at Devyn and smiled "Please introduce youself" "Hello! My name is Devyn Michelle Lazaro Valdez but you can call me Devyn or Dev or D just please not call me Vyn. And, Pleased to meet you all!" She ended with a flash of her most charming smile. "Class, say 'Hi' to Devyn." The teacher said. "Hi Devyn" the kids of class 1B greeted her. "Devyn, please find an empty chair and settle down" the teacher said and the little girl nodded. She saw an empty seat at the front row and settled down. She greets her seatmate to her right. "Hi I'm Devyn and you are?" she handed her hand. "Samantha" she smiled and took Devyn's hand. Then she turned to her left. "I'm Devyn" and handed her out again. "Aaah... K-Kristoff" Instead of taking Devyn's hand, he just stared at her face. Why isnt he taking it? Hmm... baka ayaw niya makipag shake hands. Oh well. She thought to herself and sat properly facing the teacher. The teacher talked about the school rules, classroom rules and more rules. Devyn is not with her brother because he has a higher rank than her. Arvin excels both in studies and sports. But despite all, she doesnt get jealous of her brother because she knows that she is the only girl that her brother loves, well also their mommies. School is done and she is now waiting for her brother outside his classroom. Samantha and Kristoff, her new found friends, headed home first. "Hey baby, waiting too long?" Arvin asked her little sister whose back leaning against the wall and looking really bored. "Kinda. Lets go?" she flashed a smile. The siblings walked hand in hand while taking their path to the school's exit gate. Devyn noticed that people are whispering things about something or rather someone. "Hey look! He's super cute!" A girl said while pointing at her brother. She looked at them just to find out that they were squealing for her twin brother. "Just dont mind them" Arvin said when he notice that her sister took a glimpse of the girls around them. "Kuya, are you that cute?" She asked innocently. "What do you think?" He said while making his cute faces. Then the girls around them squealed again. "Maybe... not" Devyn laughed and walked ahead of her brother. Arvin just shook his head and followed her sister. When they reached the gate. Both were surprised because of the person waiting for them. Devyn's face beamed and ran towards... "Mama Ly!!!" Aly immediately catches her daughter and raised her while spinning. Devyn giggled nonstop while Arvin jumped up and down because of excitement. "Mama Ly you're here!" Arvin exclaimed and hugged Aly. "Yup buddy! And guess what?" "What?" The two asked excitingly. "Were going to Mcdonalds!" "Yeeeey!" Both cheered. "And guess whose with us?" Aly asked again. "Who?!" "Me!" Dennise jumped from behind a pillar. "Mommy Den!" Both exclaimed. Arvin ran to their mommy to give her a kiss. Aly moves closer to Den so that Devyn can kiss her mom too. They all walked to the parking lot heading to their car. Aly, still carrying Devyn, holds Arvin's right hand. While Arvin, with his left hand, hold his Mommy Den's right hand. "What changed your plan po Mama Ly?" Arvin asked. He is seated at the back with his sister. "Hmmm... Lets say that Mama Ly is such a hard worker that she finished her job early" Aly smirked while driving. "Then work harder Mama Ly para everyday tayo ganito!" Devyn suggested. "Aaaaw... Hindi pwede yan baby. If Mama Ly works too hard, her body cant handle it and she'll be sick" Den said to her children. "Oh no! You cant be sick mama! You better take care of yourself!" Devyn said both hands covering her mouth. "Please dont push too much yourself mama Ly. We'll worry about you po" Arvin said in concern. "See? Even your kids tells you that." Dennise with her victory smirk. "Haha. Okay talo na ako" Aly said while shaking her head "I will take care of myself better now" "Promise?" Dennise, Arvin and Devyn asked in unison. Aly giggled and said. "Promise" She flashed her famous smile. ---------------------
