It's been four years today. I don't see how I've made it this far. To say it hasn't been a struggle would be a lie. I just want things to be the way they once were. Even though I know in my heart they never will be. Not after what she did... Xavier want's so badly for me to open up and let him in, but i don't know if that possible. I'm broken, and my pieces are scattered into an ocean of endless waves.

Introducing Allison
"Today will be better" she spoke quietly to herself. This would be her first day back at school since her mother had passed away. Thankfully, Allison would soon be eighteen in just a week. She couldn't wait to leave the horrid house she had been forced to call her home for the last six years of her life! Growing up she had everything she could've dreamed of. The nice house, the exceptional parents, and so on. Her father's name was Keith and he was on active duty serving our country. She couldn't have pictured herself having a better life! She was eleven when her mother received the knock at the door confirming their worst fears. Her father had passed away... Hence, her mother's starting point in her life of addiction. What started as one bottle, one pill, one hit. Quickly became more. Then Daunte entered her life and made it awful for Allison. She has endured years of abuse and neglect, just so her mother could get her fix.... Allison's POV I quietly made my way down the stairs hoping not to attract the attention of Daunte. Daunte is my stepfather, and I hate him. Why you ask? Well, there are too many reasons for me to count. The main one being he's the reason for my mother's death... Now, many wouldn't agree, but when you are the supplier, I feel like it puts you pretty high on the list of reasons. "My beautiful girl" Daunte stammered out in that sick, intoxicated voice that I loathe. I guess the look on my face wasn't to his liking because it earned me a step forward. "You know I don't like it when you look at me that way". He spoke in a low voice. "Put a smile on the pretty little face of yours. It's a beautiful day". I simply nodded and put the best fake smile on that I could. Which wasn't easy seeing as he seriously scares me.. We lived about a mile or two from the main road, and about forty-five to fifty minutes from town. Seeing as Daunte was one of the biggest dealers in our small town. He couldn't have people snooping on the small piece of land he owned. Or we would probably all be behind bars. As I was walking to the end of the road to catch the bus, suddenly, out of no where, this big fury creature jumped out in front of me. I was frazzled until I realized it was just Rex. Rex is the Lassant's New Foundland. He's about twice my size, if not more. I whispered to myself, "Hi big boy". I leaned in and gave him a good ear scratching. I knew it was his favorite. "Follow me ", I told him. I wouldn't want him to greet lost. The Lassant's own over half of our town, more than ten thousand acres all together. Rex followed me all the way to the road. About the time we were making our way out of the tree line, I saw a super nice Jeep wrangler pull up to us and halt. The driver's side door flings open and out jumps Xavier Lassant. " You big DoDo brain, where have you been"? He questions Rex, as if he can reply. Rex didn't even look in his direction, he just waddled his butt to the open door and hopped inside. Thinking there would be no words exchanged, I turned around and headed for the bus stop. "Uhh, Thank you" Xavier kinda thanked me.. Before I could even respond, he was in his car headed towards school. I turned back around wide-eyed, wondering what in the world that was. Out of the whole six years of me living here he hadn't so much juddered a word to me. I guess he was in a good mood today, or maybe just relieved to have found Rex in time to take him home before school. Xaviers POV I watched her from the tree line as she and Rex headed towards the road. He definitely knew how to get home, but I had to see her, smell her, just be around her for even a minute. I sensed her the moment she moved here six years ago. But to my shock, she couldn't sense me at all. Turns out her father had passed when she was eleven, never getting the chance to tell her about her heritage. She hardly acknowledge's me. Probably because I'm known for being a bad boy at school. Sadly, that's the reputation I have to hold, especially when it comes to the pack members . Being the Alpha's son has its perks but also its challenges. It was pure torture knowing my mate literally lived right in the middle of our packland and I couldn't have her. Seeing as she knew nothing of wolves, let along a mate bond. I hadn't so much as said three words to her in the whole six years, and I'm in pure agony! I know that here soon. I will have to tell her the truth, and just see how she takes it. I want what's best for her. That's all I have ever wanted. For now, let's just get this school day over with.
