Jude kept to time.
As promised earlier, he arrived at Agnes' mother's house within the next hour.
Before then he had already called Agnes to tell her how close he was to her.
Jude heaved a wary sigh when he got to Agnes' mother's house, only to find out that she had not come out.
He expected her to be standing outside the house, waiting for him, considering all the fears he had explained to her, that he had about her mother.
Fortunately, the car's engine did not scream and blare to attract attention to it, so Jude parked in front of the house and called Agnes again.
