TRAINNING

After an emotional meeting between the parents and the children, old Carl and the two couples. They had to rest first before talking about anything else.

Early the next morning, everybody was awake and ready to start the day. They all had their breakfast and enjoyed each others company.

Lia sat next to her mother who held her hands every time they were free. She asked her about her life and how she ended up in the Blue moon pack.

She didn’t remember that memory, but she was sure she had it, it was locked away somewhere with the rest of the other terrible memories. “ I don’t remember most of my childhood memories, especially the terrible ones or anything sad.” Lia said sullenly. “ It’s okay my baby girl don’t push it.” Georgina said while smiling at her. Everybody at the table just nodded, agreeing with her, so after the meal they went into Dustin’s office for a short meeting.

Rance started by telling them how white wolves were being murdered ruthlessly all over the world. “ Do you have any idea who is killing them? What is the council doing about it?” Rain asked with some anger in his tone. “ All we know is, the murderer is a male and he is working alone. The council knows about it and they have launched a manhunt. Any witnesses will be awarded and offered protection if they report the man’s identity.” Rance said and sighed heavily.

“ The council has also sent elite warriors to all the packs reported to have white wolves. I think the warriors who were sent here will be arriving in two days. They will be in charge of improving your training techniques and training some warriors who will become elites like them. It was a decision made by the council of elders that all packs, be it royal or normal, would have ten to twenty elite warriors who could help in such situations.” Georgina said. “ So, have any packs started this training or it’s just words and no action.” Lia asked while rolling her eyes.

“ They started. Africa and Asia received their elite warriors earlier because they were the ones hit the most, followed by South America. Europe, North America, the north and south poles and Australia will receive them soon.” Rance said, as he explained the situation of the elites and their training.

Sally and Ally, who were at their house, were peeping through the curtains. They were looking at the black pick-up which hadn’t moved since last night.

The windows were all tinted black so they couldn’t see who was in it, but they could smell his distinct scent, which was a mixture of fresh blood and roses. The twins mindlinked Malik and told him the situation, and told him to tell Lia and Dustin because this might be the psychotic Xander.

Malik, who was busy on the training ground, left in a rush after he failed to mindlink both Lia and Dustin.

He reached the office door and knocked urgently. A loud ‘come in’ followed, he opened the door and entered. He bowed down to everybody in the room and looked straight at Dustin and Lia, who were seated together. “ What’s wrong?” Dustin asked worriedly after seeing Malik’s worried look. “ Wait, I know that look. That psychotic man is watching our house, isn’t it?” Lia asked with a sneer while looking at Malik. “Yes, the girls just mindlinked me and said that a black pick-up had been packed there since last night. They can’t see who is inside because of the tinted windows but they can smell his scent, which is a mixture of fresh blood and roses.” Malik said, worried about his mates.

“ That must be him, so he came to my doorstep. Hmph!” Lia said and sneered. “ What are you guys talking about?” Leo asked with a frown. “ Sigh, the famous Xander is looking for Lia, the CEO and founder of ELIA. He thinks I’m human and I want it to stay like that.” Lia said sighing tiredly. “ Why does that name sounds so familiar?” Old Carl asked in a low voice but everybody in the room heard him due to their keen and sharp senses.

“ It’s Xavier’s son, such a coincidence, huh!” Dustin said, anger rolling out of him in waves. Everybody sat up straight in shock and anger, “ Your mom and I suspect Xander to be the man who is killing white wolves. Please, you all have to be careful. He is a really dangerous man,” Rance said worriedly. Everybody sighed heavily and the atmosphere turned heavy and cold.

Lia was in a trance, her emotions were swirling inside her like a storm, she started transforming into her ice form, tall, long white hair with a pale blue color, her skin as white as snow and her eyes pale blue.

This time Zaya was unable to take control, so she also transformed while still inside of Lia and she still had her rationality. She just lost control of her ice element and transformed. Everybody gasped in surprise while shivering from the cold and Dustin had to transform into his fire form to help dispel the cold. “ Calm down my love, I’m here with you, always.” Dustin said as he held her closer to him and hugged her in the process.

After a while, everything went back to normal and everybody in the room let out a sigh of relief.

“ When did this happen?” Georgina asked wearily as she pointed towards the elemental couple. One was burning with a golden flame and the other was pale blue and icy but they looked other worldly. “ It happened like two months ago but Lia had already gained her ice element a long time.” Leo said, trying to gauge his friend’s reaction. "She was not supposed to get it until she turned twenty unless….." Georgina was thinking out loud.

Georgina looked at her daughter with despair, she had a feeling that her daughter had been through hell for her to gain her ice element that early. She just went and pulled her from Dustin’s arms and hugged her tightly while crying, “ I’m so sorry. We are not good parents, we should have taken care of you well enough. I am so sorry my little ice monster.” Georgina said in between tears. Lia chuckled after she heard the nickname her mother called her.

“ Little ice monster! Mama, you and grandma used to call me that every night during story time.” Lia said with a sweet smile on her ice-cold face. She looked heavenly. A lot of memories appeared in Lia’s brain, all of them were when she was still a child. She let out a painful groan which alerted Georgina. “ What’s wrong, what happened darling? Please talk!” Georgina said in fright after she saw the painful look on her daughter’s face.

“ Memories,” was all she said, and then lost consciousness. Rance rushed to help Georgina hold their daughter and he carried her to a nearby couch and laid her down. The rest were worried but Dustin was less worried because he understood her last word. “ I think what you said triggered her childhood memories which she lost.” Dustin explained to the worried parents and Old Carl, who was almost in tears. “ Are you sure?” Georgina asked with some hope in her eyes.

“ Yes, last time she had a memory surge the same thing happened but it took her some days to gain her consciousness.” Laura said, consoling the rest as they sighed in relief.

“ Go and get the twins, be careful and don’t alert that pervert.” Dustin told Malik. He bowed and then left. “ We have to wait for the twins, they are the ones who can handle Lia when she goes through this.”Dustin said while looking towards his mate.

Zaya, who was busy trying to wake up Lia, decided to take over the body for the time being. The memories she recovered were full of different emotions and Lia couldn’t process them all at once. That’s why she lost consciousness.

After Zaya took over she opened her ice-cold eyes and then sat down, giving everybody a scare. “ Zaya, how is she handling the memories?” Dustin asked after he saw the bored look in those beautiful eyes.

“ Zaya? Is she her wolf?” Georgina asked skeptically. “ Yes, she is.” Laura answered with a weird look on her face. Well, not only Laura but also Leo and Dustin had the same weird expression. Rance, Georgina and old Carl noticed this change and they frowned. “ Why are you all looking at her like that?” Old Carl had to ask, curiosity was killing him!

“ Yeah, why are you guys looking at me like I am about to steal from the moon goddess? Hmph!” Zaya asked, rolling her eyes and sarcasm dripping from every word. Leo and Dustin faked a cough to clear the awkwardness they were in, while Georgina and Laura giggled lightly.

“ Lia will be out cold for a while. These memories are different from the last one. These are her childhood memories until the day of the war and we are finally going to find out who had the guts to swap us for a dead body.” Zaya said with a cold and emotionless tone.

Everybody in the room shivered naturally, they pitied that person for kidnapping little Lia then. They all remembered what she loved doing and they were all wiping the cold sweat from their eyebrows. Zaya looked at them and smiled darkly and added a creepy chuckle.
