OUT OF CONTROL

Dustin’s pov

I can’t believe this, I can’t even think. What just happened? I just lost my mate haha this crazy world must be playing with me or is it mother nature or the moon goddess? I must find her no matter what, she is my everything.

“ Let’s all go back to the palace first. Xander, you better start running because the elite warriors will be arriving tonight. That is enough time for you to hide well. Patiently wait for my word, I promise I will find her and talk to her.” Xander nodded in agreement and left towards his car, which was packed upfront.

The rest followed me back to the palace with solemn looks. I know I will find her, but first I have to receive the guests that will be arriving. When we reached the palace, we found our parents waiting outside for us with worried looks. I had already told them what happened and Georgina wasn’t looking so good, old Carl too. After they learned that Xander was Lia’s third mate, they almost went berserk.

The bloodlust dripping from them was so overwhelming that it took ten ampoules of wolfsbane to calm them down. In the afternoon, I told them of my plans and my dad would be taking over for a while as I went searching for my mate. Oh, it should be our beautiful and stubborn mate. Rain and I will be leaving together. He will help me with the search because he can also feel her twin, so I readily agreed to this suggestion.

Everybody was appointed some duties. Malik and the twins will help the elites with the training and our parents will help protect the kingdom.

At eight in the evening, three high-end vehicles entered the Dark moon-pack territory. The boarder patrol informed the royal gamma who passed the message to me. I was eager to meet them, then leave in search for Lia. I led my people to the front of the palace to welcome them.

Rain and Ronny stood by my side, one on the right and the other on the left. They actually looked like body guards. They had to watch over me because when Pio regained consciousness he went berserk, ripping everything along the way. After the out of control run, when I saw the damage, thank the goddess I didn’t hurt anybody. I just knocked some trees down, caused a blackout and scared the little children who cried for hours.

Afterwards, Rain and Ronny had to hold me down to calm Pio before he passed out again. Right now I am just holding on by a thread, I just want to leave and handle the rest later. After a while, we heard the vehicle’s engines and they stopped right in front of us.

Two men and a woman came out of one of the vehicles that was in the middle. Rain and Ronny started growling. These horny wolves, that’s what I thought, but they both said ‘MATE’ at the same time and it hit me that among the three warriors, two of them or all of them are their mates. This will be so worth watching. Rain is not a playboy but Ronny, this horny dog, is known as a national man w***e.

What happened next shocked me to the core. The two men, who were apparently identical twins, growled dangerously towards Ronny. “ MATE! Don’t you dare run mate.” One of the twins said, his wolf almost taking over as his eyes turned golden. “ Let him run Dimitri, we do love a good chase, don’t we?” Another growl followed after the second twin said this. I just chuckled and turned towards Rain, who was walking slowly towards the red-headed woman.

She was just watching Rain closely and I could see her wolf struggling as her eyes turned bright blue, then back to emerald. “ Mate, I have never seen a man with natural white hair, let me guess, you are a white wolf aren’t you?” She asked eyeing Rain seductively. “ I never thought I would ever see the legendary red wolf in my life and here she is, beautiful and sexy.” Rain said, his wolf who had been silent all this while interrupted their conversation.

“ We have to leave, I can’t feel Zaya anymore and I am in a lot of pain. Something must have happened to her and Lia,” Storm said and shut Rain out. This brought Rain out of his stupor and his expression changed from joy to sorrow and deep longing. “ I’m sorry we met at the wrong time, I would love to stay and know about you. I will explain when we return. Please just bear with me.” Rain said, then turned to look at Dustin, who was lost in his own thoughts. He mind linked him and brought him out of his stupor.

“ What did you say?” I said loudly, scaring everybody around me. I looked at Rain and I felt Pio waking up with a stat. He took over. Our eyes were red as blood, our bloodlust was taking over, I could feel myself losing control.

“ Raise the alarm, tell everybody to enter their panic rooms in one minute.” I had my dad say before darkness consumed me.

Third person’s pov

Everybody was frozen in fright by the power being omitted by Pio after he took over. The elite warriors were on high alert though the fear in their eyes could not escape anybody’s eyes. After Leo gave the order, everybody entered the palace in a flash, but Rain and Ronny stayed behind. Even though they were scared, they had to help their king. They understood him well enough to sympathize with him.

As Pio went out of control and killed everything and anything in his path, Rain and Ronny, who were following him closely, had to be careful not to make any noise, otherwise they would be his next targets. As Pio continued to reign hell on earth and taking down trees and rogues that were randomly roaming around, the twins Dimitri and Dominic were worried sick about their newly found mate.

Rain’s mate, who goes by the name Laila, was introduced to the troubled family and welcomed warmly. They just sat there waiting for Pio to cool down. Nobody was willing to explain this dangerous situation. So they had to sit and let their curiosity eat at them slowly. Hours passed by until the morning sun was out, which is when they heard Ronny through the link telling them that it was safe to go out.

They all ran outside only to find a worn out Dustin and Pio could not be felt at all. He passed out too. Though nobody in the pack was hurt, all the trees that surrounded the pack were either uprooted or broken in half. Wood and splinters littered the pack like they had just experienced a hurricane. The pack members were worried but they knew they would soon know the reason for their king’s behaviour.

Leo and Laura were holding their son in tears. They were hurting just as much as him and Lia. They were very understanding parents. Rain and his family were also in pain. They didn’t know where to begin with their search because they didn’t know Lia that well. So the search was headed by the twins and Malik, who were currently running towards them with smiles on their faces.

“ We might know where she is. She owns this land somewhere in Canada. We know it because this is her favorite place and where she plants all her flowers, poisons and other weird and rare plants.” Sally said with a smile on her beautiful face.

Her information lightened the heavy mood and even Dustin woke up with a stat. He wanted to leave immediately because he no longer felt Pio and he was freaking out and scared out of his wits.

The elite warriors just watched from the side and said nothing, but curiosity won over. “ What’s happening and whose this Lia?” Dominic asked with a frown on his handsome face.

“ Let’s go in first, then we shall explain everything in detail,” Laura said as she led everybody inside the palace. After everybody sat down, they all looked at each other when Rain broke the silence. “ Lia is my twin sister and Dustin’s mate. She is an elemental and also a white wolf, her situation is rare because she has two more mates and we have just found out who the third is.” He said. looking straight at the three elite warriors who now had very interesting expressions on their faces.

“ Why are you looking at us like that?” Dimitri asked warily when he saw the dark look on Rain’s face. “ It’s because her third mate is the world's most famous wanted wolf right now, and the reason why guys like you were sent all over the globe.” Dustin said solemnly. The three warriors were so shocked and Laila stood up from her seat with worried eyes looking straight at Rain.

Rain was in deep thoughts and didn’t even feel his mate’s gaze, which was burning with worry. Laila knew that her situation was complicated and she now understood why Rain didn’t accept her last night. This was so messed up! “ She couldn’t reject one mate and accept another, so she rejected all of them, even with Dustin, whom they had already accepted each other. What she didn’t know was that she was killing their wolves and eventually they would all die due to the pain.” Old Carl explained in detail.

He was much more worried than anybody else in the room. He knew they had at least seven days before the wolves died and two days for their wolf connection to break completely. He just didn’t know how to tell them this.
