CHAPTER 11 | THE NEW TURN BEGINS

Angela’s Home:

Angela was sitting down on the bed & reading a book. But she couldn’t concentrate on reading. She had a strange feeling in her mind again. She tried hard to focus on reading the book but she couldn’t. She couldn’t find peace deep inside of her heart. Angela was automatically getting hyper.

Andrew was with Angela. He noticed Angela’s condition.

“Baby! Are you OK?”

“No, it’s a panic attack. Baby, please can you fetch me my medicine from the living room? I need it immediately.”

“Yeah, sure. Just give me a sec.”

Andrew disappeared from Angela’s room in the blink of an eye. In less than a second, he appeared in the living room and started looking for Angela’s medicine. Angela’s medicine was placed on the tea-table and Andrew reappeared in Angela’s room with the medicine.

“Here is your medicine, baby.”

Andrew took out the medicine from the medicine bottle and handed it to Angela. Angela quickly took the medicine. Angela returned to normal after a few minutes.

“Oh baby, thank you so much for the medicine. It could be a bad panic attack if I didn't take the pills quickly.”

“Please don’t mention it, baby. I'm always here for you. Are you alright now?”

“Yes… I’m alright now, just because of you. You gave me the medicine at the right time.”

“ You know what baby? Sometimes I think that if you didn’t come into my life, what would happen to me? I think I would have died.”

As soon as Andrew heard Angela’s words, he became ferocious. He grabbed Angela & put his hand on her mouth.

“Hey! Don’t you dare to say anything about death! After knowing so much, how can you talk about your death in front of me? Why Angela, why? You know I hate this subject!”

Angela looked at Andrew with fear and shock. After a long time, Angela saw Andrew so angry, just like the first time he saw Angela. Angela stared at Andrew’s eyes. The sweet wind was blowing, Angela’s black hair was flying in the wind. Andrew was also staring at Angela’s eyes. Suddenly, Andrew kissed Angela. Then he said,

“Promise me… You will never speak of dying again. Promise me Angela!”

“Oh dear! OK, I promise that I’ll never speak of dying again. It was just a thought. I just want to describe how important you are in my life! I didn’t realize that it'd make you feel bad.”

“I lost my loved ones once. I don’t want to lose you, Angela. You are only mine, you never leave me!”

“I promise you, my love.”

“You know, Andrew, when you were angry with me a few minutes ago, seeing you reminded me of the day I first saw you. You were so angry seeing me.”

“Yes, I remember. I was very disappointed to hear that you are a doctor. So much so that I hurt a girl like you, as beautiful & soft as a flower.”

“I still regret that. I could never have forgiven myself if I had caused you any harm that day!”

“You don’t have to regret that baby. If I hadn’t met you that night, we would never have loved each other. So, that night is a lucky night for us.”

“Wow, you are so right, Angela. OK now, close your eyes & sleep. Tomorrow you have so many patient appointments, so you need a good sleep.”

“ OK, I’ll sleep but in one condition. If you pat my head, then I’ll be able to sleep peacefully. Will you do that for me?”

“Yeah, why not baby.”

Andrew was patting Angela's head. Andrew loved running his hands through Angela’s soft hair. Andrew saw that Angela fell asleep within minutes. Andrew sat next to Angela and watched her.

Jayden’s Preparation:

That Thursday, Jayden left for the office very early. He had to do this important mission, so Jaden didn’t want any trouble. Jayden arrived at the office at eight o’clock in the morning. Even though Bill was supposed to arrive two more hours later, still, Jayden arrived early.

“Good morning sir. How are you?” said Jayden’s assistant.

“Good morning Joe. I’m good. How about you?”

“I’m doing great. What happened sir? You came to the office very early today. Do you have any urgent work?”

“Yeah, I have. You remember the client, Bill? He is about to arrive at 10 o’clock. The mission he’s going to give me is super important for me.”

“Oh I see. Shall I get you some coffee, sir?

“No, coffee no. Bring me something to eat. I could not have breakfast.”

“ OK sir, I will bring you breakfast from the nearby restaurant.” Joe left the office.

10 minutes later, Joe came back. Jayden had done his breakfast. After that, he finished some small tasks. There was still an hour left, and Jayden laid down on the couch next to him to take a nap.

An hour later, Jayden was suddenly woken up by a knock at the door. He opened his eyes and saw Joe knocking on the door.

“Hey Joe, what happened?”

“Sir, Bill Mulgannon is here. Should I send him?”

“Oh, yeah! Wait! Send him to me 5 minutes later. I just need to fresh up.”

“Ok sir.”

Within five minutes, Jayden had freshened up. Then the assistant asked Joe to send Bill to his room. After Bill came into the room, after the greeting, they started talking about the real thing.

“So Mr. Jayden, what is your decision? Are you ready to do this mission?” Bill asked.

“Yeah, absolutely! I’m ready to sign the contract. I also checked all the details & information about the girl.”

“That’s great.”

“Hey, Joe. Bring me a contact paper!”

“Ok sir. Just give me a sec.”

Joe came back with a contact paper. Jayden asked Bill to fill out the contract & sign it. After that, Jayden signed the contract.

“I’m very glad to take the mission,” said Jayden.

“Yeah, I’m also glad to hand over this mission to you. Here is your advance.”

“Thanks, Mr. Bill. The mission will start from tomorrow.”

“All the best.”

“Thank you. Well, what should I order for you; tea or coffee?”

“No, nothing. I have to go to New York as soon as possible. I have a flight at 12 pm, so I need to run.”

“Oh, ok. Have a safe journey.”

“Thanks.”

Bill left the office. He was very happy. Because from going forward, he would know everything about Angela, even if Angela really planned to take revenge on him.

“Angela, now I’m going to know everything about you! Your plan to take revenge on me is going to fail.”

Jayden understood Bill’s intentions well. Jayden realizes that Bill asked Jayden to spy on Angela with the intention of harming Angela. Angela told Jayden all about her stepbrother Bill, which made it easier for Jayden to understand Bill’s intention. Jayden decides to share everything about Bill & his intentions with Angela when he meets her and he’ll warn her about him.

The Next Day:

Jayden decides to sneak around and observe Angela’s activities for one day, then meet her in person the next day. Jayden left early in the morning for that purpose. In case to observe Angela’s activities throughout the day, it was so important to keep an eye on her from early morning. Jayden had the address of Angela’s house. He went to Angela’s neighborhood and hung around and waited for Angela to come out.

It’s been almost an hour, but Angela still hasn’t come out. Jayden was a little confused.

“What happened? Angela is not on duty at the hospital today or does she go later?”

Jayden sat down on a nearby bench & pretended to read a book. After 10 minutes later, he saw that Angela was standing in front of the main gate and locking the door.

“Oh my God! Finally!” Jayden whispered.

“Wow, she looks amazing in that lab coat. A successful doctor & a successful detective is equal to a perfect match!”

Jayden started to follow Angela very carefully. He followed Angela to the hospital. He saw that Angela had entered the hospital. Jayden had intended to know when Angela was home from work at the hospital, but waiting for hours like this was too much for Jayden to do. So, he got an idea. He went to the reception would in the hospital to know when Angela would finish her shift.

“Excuse me, miss! I want to talk to you for a sec.”. Jayden said to the receptionist.

“Yes, sir. How can I help you?”

“I would like to know when doctor Angela Mulgannon will finish her duty?”

“ OK sir, let me check. Do you need an appointment?”

“Oh no, no! Actually, I’m her childhood best friend. Today I am going to meet her after many years and want to surprise her at her house. So it is important to know when Angela’s duty ends.”

“Oh so sweet of you sir! I found the data & it says that doctor Angela’s shift will be finished at 4pm in the afternoon.”

“ OK, thank you for giving me the information. Please don’t tell doctor Angela about me.”

“Sure sir. It will remain a secret.”

Jayden left the hospital & went to a nearby restaurant to eat lunch. Then he went back to the office, where he completed some urgent work. After work, Jayden went to a gift shop. He was going to meet Angela after many years, so he wanted to buy a gift for her.

There were so many beautiful things in the gift shop and Jayden was confused as to what to buy. He felt like buying the whole store at once. Jayden was willing to pay if Angela wanted something like that from him. He could do anything for Angela. After looking for a long time, Jayden saw a makeup box.

“Got it! Angela was fond of makeup when she was a teen. I’m pretty sure that she still likes to do makeup. That’s it, I’m going to buy this!”

Jayden went to the shop reception.

“Excuse me! I am gonna take this makeup box. Please Wrap it nicely with a beautiful wrapping paper.”

“ OK sir.” The store owner said.

After getting the gift, Jayden went home. He has taken leave from office for tomorrow. After dinner, Jayden went to bed and tried to fall asleep. He was so excited about tomorrow. He kept thinking,

“Finally, tomorrow I’m going to meet with my Angela after a long time. From tomorrow, I can be with her again.”

Jayden was imagining he and Angela were walking in a beautiful park holding each other’s hands. Where there is only him and Angela and no one else. The park is surrounded by beautiful flowers, picking leaves from the trees & a beautiful girl. In one word, it’s a heavenly moment.

“I want this imagination of mine to become a reality, very soon. I want to love Angela, spend beautiful moments with her.”

“But what if she already has a boyfriend?” Jayden seemed a little tense.

“Never! I’m sure that she still loves me & she is waiting for me!”

Jayden fell asleep thinking about all this. Jayden and Angela’s lives were about to take a new turn. But neither Jayden nor Angela were fully aware of that that was going to change everything.
