Taking deep breaths to try to steady herself, Kelly sat gingerly on the edge of the couch. Trying to relax, she sat back awkwardly and grimaced as her back protested the strange angle. Shaking her head, frustrated, she sat back up and glanced towards Griffin’s room where he was fast asleep after a full day of hanging out with mom and playing. Burying her face in her hands, Kelly thought about her day. After getting back from the department store, she had turned on one of Griffin’s favorite movies and then had laid down on the couch.
