Chapter 28 The lantern shed a small ring of light around where Steigan and Aeribela had stopped. He hadn't lit it until they were shrouded by the trees, but he didn't feel they were deep enough in the woods to think they were safe. His armor hung on a branch nearby to let the leather padding inside dry. Every so often it dripped and Steigan jumped at the sound. “You're shivering,” Aeribela said. “I'm fine.” “Maybe you should make a fire.” He shook his head. “Can't. They'd see the glow.” “Body heat then?” “You don't need to get wet too.” “Take off your clothes then and let me keep you warm.” Steigan wondered why she wouldn't let this drop. “That's not a very wise idea,” he said.
