CHAPTER 12

Jo's POV

My week was spent either in my new office or chatting with my new friends but mostly Lily since we were the only people on this floor plus Daimen of course. Speaking of him he has been really friendly to the people at work they are still in shock and we haven't teased each other since Monday and I was so relieved. In the middle of the week I met to office bitches I don't even know their names but they had the audacity to insult me I felt like ripping out their throughts but I just ignored them not letting them get the best of me.

Anyway it's Friday and the deal was going really well and Daimen and I were starting to become friends unlike last week . I've actually started to like him .... don't get me wrong just as a friend. We talk alot and he smiles alot compared to before I came from what I've heard from Lily and the other guys .I finally got to meet the other guy Charles he is super nice ,kind , friendly and I can't forget to mention kinda hot , we get along pretty well and he got me thinking maybe after this deal I can try a boyfriend a real one this time but it can't be him cause it's clearly visible Anne likes him(Anne short for Dianne) hope Charles sees it soon before it's gone Anne is pretty nice to and they are the perfect couple .

Today was a very busy day tight schedules for Daimen meaning for me too and together with the work in my company it was alot harder ,there were so many contracts I had to look at so it was not one of my best days. my heard is hurting and it's not even lunch time.

I swear I've read this contract more than five times but I don't get it ,I don't know if it's me or the contract that's the problem but mostly the contract.

"Hello !"came a chirpy happy voice that I recognized obviously it can't be Daimen so it was Lily I closed my laptop and turned to her to see her smile turn upside down when she saw me. "O mi gosh what happened to you ?did a cat jump on you bed this morning or were you trying to look like the ' jinxed' characters "she said obviously surprised by my look ,my hair was in a messy bun not the stylish one the other one,there were dried up tears from the corner of my eyes for staring at the computer screen for too long ,I looked tired and the only thing that looked good on me was my clothes which were still straight and looking as fantastic as they did in the morning. Daimen didn't have so many meetings but the ones he had I wasn't needed so I just sat my ass of since I got him his coffee in the morning so I haven't seen him since then.

"First of all not trying to be an actor in 'jinxed ' but as you can see stressful day,' i said pointing on my face and hair and she nodded"I kinda guessed when you didn't drag me out of my office by now it's lunch time"she said exited making me think of food which was satisfying I placed my laptop in my bag and hurried but I was stopped by Lily's voice"but first you need to fix yourself in the bathroom you don't want Mr Black seeing you like this,"she said with a chuckle pushing me into the ladies room "I'll meet you at the cafeteria same spot" she said and walked away leaving me alone. I fixed my hair into a neat ponytail , washed my face and applied some baby jelly before going out.

I walked towards the elevator heading to the cafeteria when a hand grabbed mine and another on my mouth next thing I know I was dragged into a room. I opened my eyes slowly only to realize Daimen was the one who did this .I should have known it was him ,I groaned inwardly bitting his palm which was still covering my mouth "ouch ! Did you have to do that?"he said removing his hands shaking it up and down trying to ease the pain "what did you expect me to do or should I have gone with my second plan,"he just stared at his palm painfully "which was?"he asked finally looking at me "kicking the life out of your balls ," I said and he froze up but quickly changed the subject "I got you in here" he started"you mean kidn*pped,"I interpreted annoyed

"Okay if that makes you happy,"he said and I faked the widest smile "yes it does,"

"So as I was saying we have a date tonight," he said

"so that is the reason you kidn*pped your fake girlfriend,just to tell her you want to go on a date with her, are you serious?"I said this man had serious problems I just rolled my eyes as I thought.

"Yes that's probably everything,"he said proudly as he walked back to his chair. This guy is it getting away that easily so easily, "no!",I said in a reluctant voice as I gave him a challenge look "what did you just say ?" He asked surprised by my answer just as I thought "are you deaf or something ,I said no,"I paused looking at his expression which was asking why "because this is not how you ask a girl to go on a date with you,make it perfect ,"I paused "you should be knowing this you were in a relationship," and before he could say anything I walked out and went to the cafeteria.

I ordered my chicken obviously and went over to my friends table they all greeted me happily" finally you are here the table was getting a little boring Jack was just telling us about his non existent girlfriend,"Gracie said and we just laughed except for Jack"hey!she's real I can show you a picture," he said taking out his phone showing me the picture which made me laugh even more "Isn't that Leah Clark ,she's engaged dude," I said and we all burst out laughing. "How do you know her she's the CEO of Rodriguez industries in France ," he said "kinda cliché but she was my roomie in university until she moved in with her boyfriend soon to be husband David Rodriguez and now they own a company together,"I answered his questions.

"Sorry Jack but it looks like your girlfriend got engaged without telling you,"Anne said in a sad pouting voice making all of us laugh even Jack himself then suddenly everyone was quiet looking right behind me and obviously I turned, curiosity duuh , but no I wished I never did cause I see Daimen holding a rose and smiling. Really why does everything I do always comes back to me in the most embarrassing ways .

This is not happening ooh s**t Daimen why now. "Love?"he said shortly with his smile "will you go on a date with me tonight?" This might be a problem.. you think to make it worse Gracie started cheering"say yes say yes..."and as you thought the other guys joined her and I just nodded. "This is so romantic,"Lily and Anne aawed looking at me . Daimen gave me a kiss on the cheek and I just glares at him making him smirk knowing he's got me .

I took my last piece of chicken and popped it in my mouth and smiled sweetly"I'll see you guys later gotta go,"I said waving as I left pulling Daimen with me till we got to the elevator luckily it was empty just him and I . "What the hell Daimen?"I said once the elevator door closed, "you said you wanted romantic you got romantic" he said with a smirk,"that wasn't romantic"I said "and how does a person with no love life reference know that,"he retorted back leaving me speechless and the elevator door opened he took my chin in his fingers and angled me to look at him and he kissed my nose "see you tonight choose your best dress,"with that he walked out and into his office leaving me there .

Did he just say dress....
