"You get this-" Potts gestured to the woman in the expensive and very dirty violet dress, "thing out of my kitchen! I won't take orders her! Not anymore!" "Why, I never! After everything I've done for you!" Madam Carmen screamed back with a huff. I raised an eyebrow at her before grabbed her arm and pushing her out of there. "What are you doing here?" I demanded. "That's the hello I get?" She asked with her arms folded. "Yes," I said simply as I folded my own arms and looked at her expectantly. She sighed and pulled something out from her dress. Whoa, who knew it had pockets. "I was asked to give you this," she handed my a folded up piece of parchment. I took it out of her hand and she watched me intently. "By who?" I asked without glancing up. "He wouldn't say," Madam Carmen said with a shrug. "Great," I nodded at her before spinning around and heading away. "Alaina!" I heard her heels coming quickly behind me. I sighed as turned back towards her, "aren't you going to ask how I got here?" "No," I said bluntly, "because I don't care." "Excuse me?" She huffed. "Look, I appreciate what you've done," I told her, "but I will not act like we're friends." "I am your aunt. I am your family!" She snapped, "I'm blood! That Potts woman...is no where near." "Oh?" I laughed as I stepped closer, "so just because your my aunt, I have to treat you like you're privileged? Sorry, but you hardly recognized me as an equal until you needed something from me." "I gave you a home! I fed you!" "You gave me a home in a barn that belonged to my father! You didn't feed me, Potts did. Don't act so high and mighty." "Alaina?" A voice said from behind me and I turned towards Felix. He looked at me with concerned eyes before glancing at Madam Carmen. "What are you doing here?" He asked. She sent a glare his way before sighing. "I was asked to deliver something to Alaina," she huffed, "the ride was long and I'm afraid I'm a little too tired to ride back. Is there any way..." "Yes," I said, "I'll set you up a room in an inn." "I can't stay-" "No," Felix said shorty as he grabbed my arm and lead me away. "Is that really all she wanted?" Felix asked after me made it into the library. "That's all she told me," I said as I looked down at the parchment. There was no markings on the outside as I reached down to open it. "Well," Felix said as he sat down in a chair and pulling me down on his lap, "lets read it." "There's a perfectly good chair right there," I told him as I pointed over to it. He laughed and wrapped his arm around me. "But I like it when your close to me," he said and I smiled as I opened the parchment. "Well," Felix said after we took a minute to read it, "this changes things." "Yeah," I said as we sprang up and sprinted out of the room.
