“Is this really necessary?” I groaned as Uriel led me into the forest. “You did it in the heavenly realm and it saved our lives. This new power is powerful and could save our lives again when we need it most. You need to practice it, hone it and control it. You can’t let it control you.” “It didn’t control me.” I stated, maybe a little harsher than I needed to. “It protected me, protected us without me having to ask it to. It acted of its own volition. If it hadn’t we would be imprisoned, or worse, dead.” I don’t know why I felt the urge to defend myself, defend the power that saved our lives. But I did. He was acting like it was a bad thing that it happened, like it was a mistake. But it wasn’t, not to me at least. If my power wanted to present itself like that then I am all for it.
