Life As a Alpha Son

1340 Words
Derek I don't remember much of what happened when I lost my mom or even the rogue attack on that territory. All I know is that my mother was no longer around and I wouldn't wake up to the smell of her cooking breakfast in the morning or reading me a story before I went to sleep or even the scent she left behind after she walked outside a room. I was very young when she died but my father did tell me stories about her; so I could feel connected to my mom. When I was seven my father found his second chance mate, her name is Sophia. She was okay as long as my father was happy and she did right by our pack. I didn't like Sophia; she seemed fake but that was my father's relationship so I stayed out of it. My father started training me, my future beta and gamma to lead the pack. He taught us about our packing business in lumber and that is where we got most of our wealth. But he also taught us who our allies and enemies were. He said the most important thing to know is how can we better our pack and make sure no pack members are left out like they don't belong. Being an Alpha, or a leader is not easy because you have a lot of people depending on you and a lot on your shoulders. When you respect, understand, and appreciate or acknowledge others they will follow you no matter what the cost. I took what my father said to heart, I will be the best Alpha having my Beta and Gamma by my side. We will lead our pack in my father's vision. I will destroy all rogues if necessary. They are disgusting creatures who don't deserve to live. I will make sure The Shadow Moon Pack is the largest and strongest pack in the supernatural world. By ten years old; my Beta John, and Gamma Luke, started training in combat. Luke may be one year younger than John and me but because he is my third in command I need him to train with us which my father agreed. Luke's sister Carmen, always wanted to train with us; she could be annoying sometimes but she was a really good fighter for her age, she wanted to be a pack warrior. Once it was days from my 13th birthday, I was able to speak with my wolf, his name is Maximus. After my first shift; I and Maximus, we're finally connected, however, my wolf is very stubborn and we do not see eye to eye on most occasions. It took me time to hold Maximus, back from letting him take control over me but he is very strong, and when he is passionate about something he would take over. When I was fourteen I never thought this would happen again but there was rogue spotting at the borderline of our territory once again. My father sent all the wolves and pups to the dungeon; my father told the omegas to make sure Sophie and my baby brother Eric, went to the dungeon so they would be safe. My father told me, John, and Luke, to come with him but keep our distance to see how they handle things in battle. This was gonna be amazing to see action but frightening at the same time because we didn't know what was going to happen. At the borderline we didn't see what was going on; there was no movement but then we saw what looked like a female pup running into the clearing. Then she collapsed and at that moment out of nowhere a bunch of rogues went after her and started to attack her while she was already down. No one made a move yet until my father gave the signal making sure no other rogues were hiding. The pack warrior marched to attack the roads; one by one the roses dropped. My father links all the warriors to tell them to leave one rogue alive for questing. John's father Max, took the rogue as a prisoner. I had never seen anyone dead before or so much blood; this will inspire me in my dreams but I have to be strong for my father for my pack and for myself to be a great leader. My father approached that pup to see if she was still alive. He picked her up and told me he was gonna take her to the pack hospital and that we should check on the wolves and pups. I looked at the pup in my father's arms and I had never seen a wolf with silver hair before, what was she? My father hasn't been around many days because he has been at the hospital with that pup. I overheard Sophie, and my father arguing about him not being around much because of the mystery pup, Sophie suggested that the girl might be a rogue herself and she could be dangerous. One thing I hate the most is rogues and this pup not only is taking my father away from me but she could be putting the pack in danger. I found out from Luke, that his sister Carmen, started visiting the rogue in the hospital which means my father is around more but has been busy stuck in his office for hours each day. I'm not sure what he has been doing because most of the pack business is taken care of. The news was the pup was in a coma not sure if she would ever wake up. Good because that's less problems for the pack. On top of that, we weren't able to get any information from the prisoner about why the rogues attacked her or why were they by our territory. Two months or so passed and the word got out that the rogue pup was out of a coma, Carmen was the first to see her wake up and of course, my father went back to the hospital just to meet her. Sometime after that, my father planned to bring her over to introduce her to the pack members; needless to say, I was not interested. One day my father mindlinked me to come into his office; once I got to his office a worried scent was in the air. I knocked on the door and he told me I could come in. There on his couch was the rogue pup, I walked past her without glancing at her. I approached my father's deck and asked him what he needed. My father got up walked up to me and led me to the rogue pup; she had her head down playing with her fingers. My father called her and she quickly got up off the couch. [Alpha Lucas] Layla this is my oldest son Derek and the future Alpha of this pack [Layla] H....Hello future Alpha Derek [Derek] Hello pup [Alpha Lucas] Derek that is not how you introduce yourself to our guests [Derek] Father she is no guest, she is a mystery wolf that we know nothing about or are capable of doing. [Layla] I'm sorry, I didn't mean to cause any problems please forgive me. After my father called her name she got off the couch and looked at me and those eyes. Those beautiful eyes; blue and green I was hypnotized. Then my father introduced me and she said hello and her voice was so heavenly, I didn't know what was coming over me. I can't like her, she is a rogue and might be a threat to our pack. Being mean to her will keep her distance from me so I said hello pup and of course my father scouted me for it then she apologized for being a problem but she didn't do anything wrong. This will be harder than I thought; it's not the fact that she is nice. It's my wolf Maximus, who finds her adorable.
