THE LOST ALPHA

CHAPTER 5 ETHAN CROSS

 “So here we are. This is where my dream will come true. Graduate and have a boyfriend.” Said Joanna. I also don't really understand this woman's behavior, but she is sweet. As the two of us walked inside the school campus I also noticed that there were a lot of people around. Joanna told me that they were also a student at this school. “There are many stories in this school, there are cases where a student is missing and never found, even if there are stories like this in this school, this school is still famous, because once you finish your studies here, you will have a job right away. So many still want to study here, even though some students are already missing.” She added.

 “What is the reaction of the school owners?” I asked Joanna. “Nothing, they just pay the parents not to file a case in court.” Joanna replied. When we found our dorm, we entered our own dorm. I was almost amazed at the things I see here. I have to study here at this school and get it done, I have to show my dad that people are kind, and most of all, I will be the Alpha in our family. The physical body lacks the strength to be an Alpha because it also needs intellect. I will prove to my clan that I can be a strong and intelligent Alpha and will not lose my dream of where people and werewolves will have peace.

 I went out of the dorm and went to Joanna's room; I want her to roam me inside the school so that I don't get lost. I also don't want to be a fool because they might notice that I am a werewolf and not a human being. She told me she was tired and she needed to rest. I also saw on her face that she was really tired, and then, she told me it was night to leave the dorm. It is said that we may also fall victim if we go out this time and we need to be double careful.

 I went out of her dorm and let her rest. I went back inside my dorm and sat on the bed, they say is where people sleep. I remember why I fell into the falls. Andrew was my last companion. He hit the hard object on my back so I fell into the falls. How did he do this to me? Does he really want to be Alpha? I can't agree with what he wants. I promise myself I will return to our clan.

 I immediately felt tired, drowsy and fell asleep mentally. I woke up to someone knocking on my door. “Ethan! Ethan!” I heard Joanna's voice outside the door. I opened the door and saw her face full of fear. I went out the door and asked what was wrong with her. "A corpse was found on the side of the library building, and it is said that a werewolf killed him, because the contents in the body were missing and the body was said to be fragmented. Other students also said that he was a janitor working inside our school.” She told me.

 I can't believe this is the first thing I hear about going to school, and I wonder if there is a werewolf here inside the campus that kills people? Who are they and why are they doing it? Are they also one of my father's companions or are they the children of the victims of human violence so they kill? “I'm scared Ethan.” Joanna told me. She hugged me tightly and I could not blame her for the fear she felt. “Is the corpse still there?” I asked Joanna. “They said, it was no longer there.” She answered me.

 “I don't know if I can survive in this school, I don't know if I can finish my college here.” Joanna cried on my shoulder. I felt sorry for her because she did not know that my race had killed people like them. “Don't cry, I'm here and I will protect you Joanna.” I told her. I also wonder how werewolves got into this town; I just thought there were werewolves in our village. They have come a long way. They already know human actions.

 I suddenly felt strange in my body. I felt something tingles, sparks and shivers going up and down to my spine. It feels new to me. My 18th birthday just ended and my dad told me that when I felt weird, it was a sign that I had found my mate. Mate? Who? Joanna? Not possible because she is a human being. I want to be her husband is also human and not like werewolves like me. I know that when she finds out that I'm a werewolf, she will stay away from me. So I will keep my secret from her.

 I pulled my body away from Joanna and she looked at me. “Sorry. I was just scared.” She told me. “Go back to your dorm; don't go out without me, just in case something bad happens to you. Just call me here in the dorm.” I told her. She immediately obeyed what I told her. I went inside my room and lay down on the bed. My whole body feels cold. I took the blanket and covered myself. “Why am I feeling this way?” I whispered to myself.

 I fell asleep again on my bed and woke up when I felt hungry and hot all over my body. I need to take a bath. I got up from my bed and looked for clothes inside the box that I could wear. When I found it, I went inside the comfort room and took a shower. I went out of the bathroom and went to the table to eat human food. I can't deny that their food is really delicious. The smell is appetizing.

 I stopped eating when I could smell a strange smell. “Unmated wolf?” I whispered to myself. I am not mistaken that she has a wolf near my dorm and I can sense that she’s really in heat. I need to find her. I did not finish what I was eating; I got up from the king seat and went out of my dorm. I followed the smell of it until I got to the front door of Joanna. I can smell her. I knocked on her door and asked if she was okay.

 She does not answer. I turned the door knob and it was good that her door was open. I entered her door and that is where the smell of an unmated wolf came from. I closed the door. I saw Joanna lies on her bed. I approached her and grabbed her arm when she suddenly faced me. I saw her eyes were black and became darker shades. “Joanna?” I only said her name because I was surprised that Joanna was a werewolf.

 “Are you also a werewolf?” I asked her. She was still lying on her bed and her whole body was writhing in pain. My eyes changed color and turned red. She was surprised when she saw my eye. “You are an Alpha. You were born to be an Alpha. Why are you here? Where is your pack?” I did not answer when I also felt the heat in my body and this time I knew what it was feeling. Joanna is my wolf mate.

 I never spoke again. I immediately approached her and kissed her on the lips. She also returned the kiss to me. I leaned over her and kissed her for a long time. We both undressed and saw each other's bodies. I kissed and licked different parts of her body and I knew she liked everything I did to her. “I did not expect my mate to be here.” I said to Joanna.

 “I also did not expect you to be my mate.” We both made the two of us happy. When we were done, I bit her again on her neck to leave a mark or tattoo identifying her as my own or she was my mate.

 I got up from the bed and sat at the table; Joanna also followed me and hugged me from behind. “What are you doing here in this place?” I asked Joanna. “I am here because I want to have knowledge. I don't want to go back to our pack. I am the weakest of us. So I left.” She told me. “I did not expect my mate to be a future Alpha. You? Why are you here?” Joanna also asked me. “I am here to gain knowledge about people. In our area, they killed people; I chose to disappear from our place because I could not do what they do to innocent human beings.”

 Joanna came in front of me to see me and she saw my eyes change into black. “I can say that you did not kill an innocent human being. I can see it in your eyes.” Joanna told me. I stared at Joanna and saw her eye color turn gold and return to normal brown. It is true what she told me, she was weak in their pack. So she ran away because she was always oppressed, hurt and insulted.

 It suddenly crossed my mind if Joanna had killed an innocent human being. “Did you kill an innocent human being?” I asked her. “Yes, I once killed a human.” She answered me. I was silenced by her answer, because I was waiting for the explanation of why she had killed a human being. “I was just a baby when people killed my mother. My father and I both survived and he took me away from the place where the incident took place. When I turned sixteen, I saw a hunter in our area, he was holding a weapon and he was looking for a werewolf. I remember the story of my father telling me that the one who killed my mother had a mark on his right hand shaped like a flower. When I saw this man and a mark on his hand, I transform into a wolf and without hesitation, I killed the man who killed my mother. After that I did not follow the killing of another human being. Just because I was carried away by my anger I did it. ”

 This is Joanna's story to me. I could see in her eyes that the event was still fresh even though she did not see how her mother was killed. “I'm sorry I asked more.” I apologize to Joanna. “It’s okay, it's over.” Joanna looked me in the eye again. “You told me your pack kills people, why don't you go with them to kill too.” Joanna asked me. “I tried to kill people, but when I saw their eyes, I felt sorry for them, as if they did not need to be killed. They are all innocent. My father is an Alpha and he is expecting me to be the next Alpha. Andrew is my best friend. He wants to be Alpha. He is the reason I am here. I knew he wanted to kill me just to get what he wanted. When he had the opportunity, he took advantage of it.”

 I told Joanna about all my well-being before I saw her. I saw in her eyes that she was happy that I was safe. Because she said she did not know what to do if she lost her mate, she might hurt herself and she might even commit suicide.
