Chapter Two

He was the alpha!! I just mated with the alpha!! My mind is running all over the place, my wolf still trying to claw her way out. It takes all my strength to push her back, keeping her down. I stare back at him in complete awe and watch his lips move into a smug smirk as we both whisper“mate". I quickly look away as he makes his way over standing next to me at the kitchen island, our arms touch sending fireworks up my to my shoulder, he smells heavenly like pine and apples, it takes all of my willpower not to steal a glance at his face.

I mean what happens in these situations? When you a nobody mates with the alpha of your pack!! My attention slightly shifts as I hear the door open and close and stare as in walks Sebastian Cole.

The blonde hair on top of his head is pushed to one side and the sides are shaved off, he wears his teams red football hoodie that says WOLVES in the centre and light ripped blue jeans hug his waist, he is like walking s*x but my panties don't want to drop at the sight of him. He greets everyone and makes his way around us to grab a beer from the fridge. His hand rests on my jean covered ass as he presses a kiss to my cheek, the low growl beside me going completely unnoticed by Sebastian as he stands opposite side of me.

“Now that everyone is here" Lucy starts. She continues by going around the island.

“Cade these are my friends: Elle, James, Sebastian, Ethan and Sadie. Guys this is Cade.”

“We know who he is Luce!” James jokes.

Cade snarls his way. Lucy reaches over and touches his shoulder visibly calming him as she whispers something to him. No doubt explaining that's just how my brother is.

“Okay, well introductions probably aren't needed here but this is Logan the third, Max the son of the pack doctor and Davin the alpha.”

My mind can't focus on anything but Davin beside me, why of all the places does he choose to stand here. You know why Sadie, my wolf laughs. He is taking over all of my senses, he is all I smell, all I feel. My heart is pounding in my chest. I need space, room to breathe a scent that is not as intoxicating as his. I pick up my beer and glare at Ethan across from me pointing with my eyes to go to the living room. His eyes acknowledge my “suggestion” and he makes comment on how his feet hurt and we should all go sit down.

Everyone makes their way to a new spot on the couch or chair and I deliberately wait so that hopefully one of his buddies will sit next to him. Davin isn't letting that happen as he glares at Logan who tries. Great. My only options are the floor in front James and Ethan or beside Davin on the couch. I bet the floor is comfier than it looks. I feel his dark green eyes as they watch me take a seat in front of James and Ethan. His eyes getting darker as he glares at the two men.

“So Sades had this great idea that we play never have I ever so that we can kind of get to know a little about each other and have some fun!” Lucy explains.

Cade leans over kissing her shoulder and says what a great idea before asking,

“How on earth do you play?”

Lucy begins explaining the rules. “So someone begins the game by saying something they have never done, if it is something you have done you take a sip of your drink. Then who ever said it picks someone who has drank to go next.” Lucy starts the game easy.

“Never have I ever skipped class.”

Ethan, James, Sebastian and I all drank. She picks Ethan to go next.

“Never have I ever kissed a girl!"

All the guys drank. He picks Logan.

“Never have I ever found my mate"

My eyes flicked up to Davin I watched and if he wasn't drinking neither was I, I was not having us outed at a party. He seemed tempted but did not drink. He picks Cade.

“Never have I ever been to a real school.”

My friend group drinks. He picks me. I feel Davin's eyes. Oh no.

“Never have I ever” think of something Sadie. “Never have I ever driven a car.”

Phew. Everyone drinks.

“Wait like never?” Max asks.

I shake my head. “I've never needed to I say. Lucy your turn.”

“Never have I ever had s*x”

My eyes stare at her, it was always her go to, it's what got all of us to drink, but this time as she said it I want to rewind and pick someone new. I didn't want to see her hurt if Cade drank.

“Umm Sadie, this is the part where you drink” Ethan jokes.

A growl across from me makes my eyes switch to Davin as I shakenly take a slow drink. The death glares Davin is shooting Sebastian who he watches also drink are hard not to miss. The sight of Lucy running from the room takes all my attention. Cade springs to his feet. He drank. I stand tell Cade I got it and go after her. I find her in my room tears in her eyes.

“I want to throw something, or shift, f**k!! Why did I say that?” Her hands are balled into fists, she looks so angry.

“Luce, I understand you are mad. Someone else touched your mate but Lucy that was before! It was before you met him! You need to calm down!”

Lucy takes deep breaths as she sits on my bed staring at the ground.

“I think you are so hurt because you held on to your virginity so you could give it to your mate, you wanted it to mean something and to you it still will. But you can’t expect him to have done the same.”

“No I knew this. I knew going into this there were probably others before me I just didn't think as I said it how mad it would actually make me. Sadie distract me, I am going to shift if you don't distract me.”

“Davin is my mate” I blurt. Lucy stops pacing and stares at me. Mouth hanging open.

“You can't tell anyone. It just happened. We haven't even had time to talk yet. He is the alpha I don't know what I'm doing here.”

“Oh my god!! This is great best friends mated to best friends! We can do double dates and raise our babies together!”I stop her before she can continue planning our joint wedding.

“Luce you can't tell anyone.”I repeat. She nods in understanding.

“You guys should just talk. Having a mate to hold you, feeling the tingles through your body. It's the best feeling Sadie. I can't even remember what it feels like before I met Cade. He is everything.” She looks happy. “I overreacted, I know this. Thanks for calming me.” She wraps her arms around me in a hug, then grabs me by the hand and drags me to the door.

“Our mates are waiting!”

Cade was standing at the bottom of the stairs, it looks like someone kicked his wolf.

“Lucy, Ethan explained why you are so upset, I'm sorry I can't change my past. Know if I could go back and change it I would.”

Lucy jumps into his arms wrapping her body around him.“I'm sorry I got so mad, it was before me.”

“Don't apologize, if someone else had touched you I'd want to rip off their limbs!”

My mind goes to Davin does he want to rip Sebastian limb from limb. I was so focused on Lucy and Davin's anger I can't even recall if he too drank during Lucy's never have I ever.

The party was starting to die down, Logan and Max left while we were upstairs to return to the pack house. Ethan said his goodbyes just as we came back ensuring Lucy was okay before heading home. James and Elle stood to leave as we entered the living area.

“You need a ride home?” James asks Sebastian.

“Nah man I'm going to stay here.”

Davin growls.

“Wait, since Elle didn't drink she could take you home, right Elle?” Lucy asks.

I make a mental note to thank her for the save later. Sebastian quickly looks to me and I mouth I'm sorry. He looks at me but doesn't question. Thank you goddess. I explain to the two love birds and Davin that I'm just walking them out and be back.

We reach the door and Sebastian turns to me. “Sadie what changed?”

“I just can't. Not tonight.”

“Dude is my kid sister rejecting you!?” James laughs

Ignoring my i***t brother, I focus on Sebastian.

“Look I am sorry but Lucy needs me right now.” I was so not telling him the truth!! He smiles at me understanding and kisses my cheek. I almost feel bad for lying to him. They all say goodnight and wave as they leave. I make my way back to the living room to confront my best friend her mate and my mate the mother f*****g alpha but as I round the corner it seems Davin had the same idea. He leans against the staircase waiting for me.

“You let him kiss you! You let him touch you! He took what is MINE!” He growled.

I stand their frozen watching as his green eyes turned black, what do you say to a pissed off wolf!”

“Were you spying on me?”

His eyes definitely black. Great Sadie, great choice of words.
