Mating With The Alpha

Chapter Three

“S-sorry Alpha!” I mumbled.

“MY NAME IS DAVIN!" He shouts.“He won't touch you again!"  He says exposing his canines.

Before I even have the chance to move my body, he grabs my head gently turning my face exposing my neck to him. Pain jolts through my neck making my body shudder as it passes through me slowly turning into the most pleasurable thing I have ever felt. A moan escapes my lips. He releases his hold on me looking into my eyes. I reach up to my neck my fingers tingle as I touch the spot where he bit me. I can feel my wolf wanting to play.

“You f*****g marked me!! I shout.

He smirks“people need to know who you belong to!”

“BELONG TO!! I am not your property! You can't just go around marking people without their consent Davin!! This is so not okay!”

I was so angry, my fists balled at my sides. I feel my wolf inside as she jumps for joy and wants to finish mating. No we are mad! My n*****s harden, my panties get wet. Stupid teenage hormones, betrayed by my own body, by my own wolf. Davin reaches his hand up and cups my cheek, all of my anger fading. My cheek is on fire.

“You feel that right?" I ask.

“It is the best thing I have ever felt.” I want to be angry but I can't, I feel his hurt now. I feel the anger he holds for Sebastian.

“It was before I met you, I can't apologize for that.”

I watch his jaw clench as he spits out the words “it won't happen again!” and he leaves taking Cade with him.

“HE MARKED YOU!! I can smell it!” Lucy shouts her excitement as she reaches for my neck to see my mark.

“Come on we need to sleep!” I say dragging her upstairs.

The weekend went by so quick and uneventful however Lucy had her first real date with Cade and returned with her own mark and they have already consummated their mating if you know what I mean. I was over the moon for her.

As we stand at our lockers before homeroom she explains how the feeling gets so much stronger, it's like she thinks a bad thought and he can hear it and answer her putting her mind at ease. If she needs him she can just mind link him or just think how much she misses and him and he appears. Lucy describes the feeling as the most intense and blissful thing she has ever felt. My mind goes to Davin as it has most of this weekend, we haven't talked since the party on Friday but I can't help but wonder if he has thought about me at all. Or about when we will finish the mating process and link ourselves that way. Strong bond, deep connection. I want that with Davin. My whole body shakes with hopes that we will and soon, my body wants to touch him everywhere. My phone pings distracting me from my thoughts I take it out of pocket to see another text from Sebastian.

"Sadie! Did I do something wrong?"

He's texted seven times over the course of the weekend but I could never bring myself to answer him. I know we both knew what we were doing, it was only until we found our mates. But I thought how if the roles were reversed I wouldn't want to be told in a text and I would maybe still be just a little hurt even if it was only because he found his mate. I quickly typed out talk at lunch with a smiley face and throw my phone in my bad and go to homeroom with Lucy.

We take our normal seats behind Ethan and Elle at the back of the room by the windows, class was just starting when in walked none other than Davin, Cade, Logan and Max. I feel Davin's eyes land on me, my whole body began heating up under his gaze. Beside me Lucy giggles with glee quickly changing seats to go sit with Cade at the table next to ours and Davin sits down right next to me. Mrs. Pitt introduced our “new students” almost gushing over the fact that our alpha was in her homeroom, insert eye roll here! Homeroom is not even a real class it;s more like a catch up class you can study, read, do homework as long as you are present and accounted for you could do whatever the hell you wanted. I take out my history textbook as I have a test eighth period when Davin leans down to ear. His breath warm against my skin causing goosebumps down my neck and arms.

“My scent smells amazing on you” he whispers in my ear. His sultry voice makes me want to melt into a puddle at his feet.

“Alpha, there is a seat next to me.” Jane Michaels says tapping the surprisingly empty seat beside her where normally one of her fellow cheerleaders sat.

My growl surprised even me, Davin smirked beside me like he just won the best prize as he politely declined Jane's offer. Her eyes were throwing daggers at me and my wolf started jumping.

“Jealous are we? Davin grinned. He does have a sexy grin, I bet he could do unimaginable things with that mouth.

“Jane is just annoying do not flatter yourself.”

Davin leans in closer to my ear “Oh I am definitely flattered” Okay his voice was definitely husky that time! I am doomed.

It turns out that Davin is in almost all of my morning classes and the one class he is not in Max and Logan are. What are they even doing here, they haven't attended school with us ever.

The pack leader's children attend a special school so that they can get their education without missing any of their much needed training. They finish all of their studies at the age of sixteen when the alpha becomes of age to take over the pack. My phone pings with a number I don't recognize.

Unknown: Can your handsome mate treat you to lunch?

Just the site of his text makes my n*****s harden. He already wants to kill Sebastian I can't tell him I'm having lunch with him. Plus some space from Davin would give me time to have a much needed talk with my girl parts.

"Sorry, have plans. Next time :)"

I stand at my locker spraying myself down with body spray. Sebastian is going to meet me at our normal picnic table outside. Maybe I should have brought someone with me just in case. Too late now.

“Trying to hide my scent?” Davin growls behind me.

I spin around to see his eyes turning black and his hands balling into fists at his sides.

“That won't work you will still smell like me, you will still bare my mark!” He's practically shouting drawing some attention our way. I place my hand on his face almost like an instinct like I knew this would calm him, but it also is kind of to calm myself and reassure me that it will be okay.

“Davin hear me out okay! You are my mate, I want us to move forward together. In order for me to fully be able to do that I need to tell Sebastian that we are done and need to be just friends. I need to do this in person, I need to he is not only my friend he is my brother's best friend!”

The look of anger crawls over his skin, his entire posture changing.

“Okay lets go!” He spits out grabbing for my hand.

“NO! I need to do it alone!”

“Absolutely not!” He shakes his head. “Where are you even meeting him, I thought no one could leave campus at lunch.”

“Well, probably should have mentioned this..”

“Mentioned what?” he grunts cutting me off.

“Davin, Sebastian he umm, he is still a student here. James didn't want to leave school without Elle and Sebastian stayed too so they both could play on the football team another year! And you should know he is in all of afternoon classes.”

A growl erupted from his throat. I reach for his hand and saw his eyes soften as they shift back to mine.

“I just need to tell him myself, in person. I can't continue ignoring him.”

He smiles as if it was the best news to his ears that I had been ignoring him.

“Sure you can.”

I have always wanted a mate and I truly am excited to see where Davin and I could go but he marked me to prove a point and I need to tell Sebastian myself.

“No, I can't” I say as I turn and walk away.

I head outside towards the picnic table near the football field Sebastian was already sitting there with two sprites and two burgers from the cafeteria. Man I hope we can still go back to friends. Normal friends, not the awkward oh I've seen you naked and now I can't look at you type of friends.

My brother was not a fan of me and Sebastian at first but over time he began joking about how we shouldn't find mates and just be together. After he mated with Elle who was my age and her and I became close, he thought how great it would be to have his friend mate with his sister. Double dates, raise our kids next door to each other. It would be perfect but we weren't mates, we weren't even dating but we will always be more than just friends who slept together.

As I get closer I notice Logan sitting in the bleachers. Figures Davin wouldn't let me do this on my own, way to trust your mate. As I approach Sebastian he picks me up in a tight hug.

“Eww Sades you stink! What did you do role your body through dirt and lavender” he says setting me down.

I push down a giggle at Davin's pine smell hiding beneath my body spray. Guess you can't cover it just makes you stink. Sitting down he slides my burger over to me but my stomach was in knots, I was too nervous to eat.

“Look Sebastian, I don't know how to tell you this but” he looks at me like I have his full attention, like I hold all the power. You can do this Sadie it's for your mate. Rip off the band aid.

“I found my mate” I whisper as I look away from him. Anywhere else but at his face as he realizes what I have said and his smile falters. He reaches over taking my hands in his.

“Sadie, I know how much you want a mate sucks it wasn't me but I am happy for you!”

I look at him, he isn't mad, no look of anger on his face. How did I get so lucky with him?

“You aren't mad?”

“I mean I would really like to punch something, but it's not your fault and I could never blame you. I care about your happiness Sades.”

We talk a bit more about classes and if we are ready for our history test coming up. I was glad our friendship hasn't seemed to change. The weight I was carrying lifted off my shoulders. The warning bell rings signalling the end of lunch we both stand gathering our things and head inside. Sebastian typically walks to locker with me after our lunches but he stops just inside the door and leans down to hug me. The growl from the end of the hallway was definitely not unnoticed this time. Sebastian looks up just in time to dodge the punch Davin throws.

“DO NOT TOUCH HER!!” He roars

Sebastian looks between the two of us as it clicks into his brain and he stares at me.

“The alpha is your mate???” He sounded angry! “Definitely worth mentioning Sades!!”

Oh yes definitely mad now. Before I can even say anything Sebastian storms off down the hall. As everyone enters their classrooms, leaving me alone in the hallway with Davin. Pissed off Davin. His eyes stare into mine as if trying to read my soul. Do not show fear Sadie. His eyes search mine as if looking for answers.

“I did tell him, I just didn't tell him it was you. And you didn’t even trust me to do it myself! You sent Logan!!” I answered realizing he technically didn’t ask. Is this what it’s like to have a mate, just knowing? I reach for his face feeling his body calm beneath my touch, the heat from his skin sending shivers up my arm.

“Why did you not tell him?” He asks almost sounding hurt.

“Davin, I am sorry I told him I had a mate and was about to tell him it was you but didn’t know if I could. You are the alpha, I don’t have any experience being a mate and definitely don’t know how to be an alpha’s mate what if there are rules? Plus you haven’t told anyone either”

Davin chuckled at my statement.

“Do not laugh at me!” I stood taller!

“I would never!” He growled. “Sadie, I marked you, everyone knows whose you are. There are no rules here, we are the same as any other pair of mates.”

Davin still looks hurt, he is right. Everyone knows whose mate I am they smell him as soon as I walk in a room. No one knows he is claimed. I stand about a full head shorter than Davin, I bet even on my tip toes I could not reach his lips. I lean into his body as I reach my arms up and lock them around his neck pulling his face to mine. Our lips are only an inch apart, I feel his minty breath hot on my face. He smells so good. I slowly close the distance and softly press my lips to his.

A growl escapes Davin's lips as he pushes me up against a locker, my body reacts to his touch instantly. I thrust my chest closer to his, my nails rake up his back, a moan escapes my throat. Davin deepens our kiss, shoving his tongue in my mouth and tangling it with mine. He pulls my body tight against his. I can feel the bulge in his pants growing bigger against my thigh. He grabs my butt pulling me closer to him lifting me off the ground. I wrap my legs around his waist and begin slowly grinding myself against him. I hate clothing. My wolf begs to come out, she wants to mate, she wants to claim him as mine. My canines begin to drop just as Davin punches the locker beside my head.

“STOP!!!” He roars.

I jump back startled by his reaction, he puts me down on the ground and turns his face away from mine. His breathing is heavy, his head hangs low. Clearly frustrated with himself. Davin reaches down grabs my bag from the floor hands it to me and walks away. Did I do something wrong? My whole body aches, I am good enough to mark but not to mate. I throw my bag up on my shoulder and head for the exit, there is no way I can sit through class.
