Mating With The Alpha

Chapter Seven

Sadie's POV:

I woke to playful kisses against my neck, on my mark.“Sadie, love, it's time to get up.”

I pushed the person invading my wonderful dreams away. I laid in Davin's arms all night, I had never felt something like this before. Safe. Wanted. No way am I leaving this bed not when it smells like him. I pulled up my covers rolling over to my side.

“NO!” I whine. “Five more minutes!”

The invader was back pulling the covers down, but the kisses were replaced by playful nips on my ears. I opened my eyes and turned to face Davin, sweet goddess, even in the morning he looks sexy. His disheveled hair and sleepy grin make my heart flutter. How on earth does he look this amazing first thing? It should be a crime to look this good.

“Love, it's time for school.” He says before placing a soft kiss to my lips

“Ugh. Who needs school?” I ask.

He laughs, goddess that laugh. Why did you have to create such a perfect specimen just to torture me? I ask her in my head. Davin tickles my side causing me to squirm.

“No! Stop!” He doesn't, he tickles my stomach, my sides. My feet are kicking, my arms are pushing him harder as I try hard to squirm away from his tickles.

“Okay! Okay! You win! I'll get up!”

My leg shakes as I count down the minutes to the final bell. I can't even focus on anything the teacher is saying in front of me, my brain checked out a long time ago. This school week flew by, Davin or Logan picked me up from my house every day and dropped me back off every night. Davin and I have not mated yet but we came close one time in his car. I practically climbed the center console to sit in his lap and dry hump him.

Since they’ve been taking me to and from school I feel like I haven’t seen James in forever. We've texted and checked in on each other but I miss him. Our friends were getting a long great. Davin and his friends were like a puzzle piece we didn’t know we were missing, and Ethan loved having more guys around but Logan and Max were turning out to be more competition that he was wanting. The three of them were breaking hearts all over Westfield High.

Sebastian returned to school on Wednesday two days after the fight. He was quite distant giving us space, which was kind of nice but I can’t help miss him just a little. I bet if Davin got to know Sebastian things would be a lot different. As long as he is unmated I doubt that will happen anytime soon.

The last bell finally rings and I want to run out of last period. The weekend was here and my feet were ready to carry me to see Davin. Sebastian stopped me at the door.

“Sadie, can we talk?”

I saw Max stop just across the hall and lean against a locker. I've gotten used to the fact that one of them is always in my class, but it's still a little weird to see them wherever I go.

I came out the girl's washroom the other day and Logan was leaning against the wall, it was during fourth period and he wasn't in my class so how they seem to just know where I am at all times is a little freaky.

I pushed the thought away as I looked to Sebastian. The bruise on his jaw was already starting to fade and the cut above his eye vanished leaving nothing but a small scar in its place. At least wolves are self-healers.

“Sebastian, I am so sorry about what happened, I feel terrible to have put you in that situation.” I apologized.

“Sadie, its fine! It's not your fault. We fell asleep and I don't know maybe out of habit I pulled you to me. In a way I’m kind of grateful that it happened.” I stare at him confused, he wanted to get the crap beat out of him? Great Davin gave him an awful concussion that he clearly is still suffering from. “While I was being seen by the pack doctor I met my mate.” He finished.

“Wow Seb!! That is so great! I am happy for you!”

I stop my hug in its tracks when I feel Max's eyes glare at me. It's probably not the best of ideas to hug him, mate or not what happened is still too fresh. I end up awkwardly patting him on the shoulder.

“She is perfect, her name is Skye. She is the pack doctor's daughter.”

My gaze shifts to Max again, so maybe the reasons for his death glare and for listening in on our conversation were also kind of selfish considering Sebastian seems to have found a mate in his sister.

“I'm leaving school. I wanted to be the one to tell you. She is still training to become the next pack doctor and I've already graduated, football is over in another month so there is no use sticking around, she is where I want to be.”

As I left Sebastian and head for my locker, I was genuinely happy for him. Now that he has a mate we can all move forward and put this jealousy crap behind us.

As I round the corner of the hallway I see Davin leaning against my locker looking sexy as hell in a white fitted shirt that hugs his muscles and dark blue jeans that frames his thighs perfectly, his leather jacket is in hand and he smiles when he sees me. Good goddess he is the hottest thing I have ever laid my eyes on.

“Hello beautiful. Do you happen to have any plans tonight?” He said.

“No, no one asked me on date for Friday night, must be this mark warding off all my potential suitors.” I joked.

“I know you're joking but that's not funny!” He growled. “Well would you consider having dinner with me tonight, for our first official date?”

I could not contain my smile, my heart picked up speed. “Yes!”

“Great I will pick you up at seven.”

I was about to ask him why he wasn't driving me home when Cade and Lucy appeared. “Be careful.” Davin told him then kissed me goodbye.

The car ride was not quiet. Lucy is like a motor mouth, she babbled the whole way to my house. She seems so happy, I'm glad she found Cade. But I miss her. I feel like the only time I get to see her these days is at school. Cade dropped us both off at my house though Lucy spent extra time in the car with him before joining me inside.

“Sades? Where did you go?” She yelled.

“Bedroom!” I answered.

Lucy walked into my room and froze in my doorway as she took in the sight. My room was a disaster. I stood staring into my closet, my clothes thrown everywhere.

“Ugh honey, what is going on?”

“First date! First date with Davin! In three hours!” I was so nervous and excited I was shaking.

She looks around the mess “Oh sweetheart, no.”

I looked at her confused, I was there the first night she truly wanted to impress Cade, and she was a wreck. What does she mean no? I opened my mouth to argue but shut it as Lucy pulled a box from her bag and hands it to me.

“I got you covered. Well technically Davin does but there was no way I was letting him pick it out. Open it.” She smiled a big smile at me. It's kind of freaking me out it's so big.

I open the box and stare at contents inside, my mouth dropping open.

“Davin wanted tonight to be special so he sent me shopping. I hope you like it but I hope he likes it too. Now let’s make you even more draw dropping than you already are.”

I take a nice hot shower washing my hair and face. I spend a little extra time shaving and making my skin nice and smooth. I am taking no chance of prickly legs so I put on some extra moisturizer. I return to my bedroom where Lucy helps with my hair, make-up and getting into my outfit.

Staring at myself in the mirror my heart skips. I know I’m not ugly but I looked soft, feminine, and beautiful. She truly thought of everything on her little shopping adventure all the way down to the intimates. I've only worn a dress one other time and Lucy picked that one out too. She has great taste.

“Girl if he doesn't sleep with you tonight, I will.”

My hair was in beach waves down my back, gold hoops hung from my ears; my dress haltered around my neck clinging to my chest and torso. I smoothed my hands down the light peach flower printed material. The dress went tight at my waist and flared out over my hips stopping the skirt just below my mid-thigh.

My boobs looked excellent. The strapless push up material I was wearing underneath was putting them on display, perking them up and holding them in place. I felt good. We applied a little mascara, pink lipstick and checked for the time just as the doorbell rang, ten to seven, he's got perfect timing.

“I will go get that, make him wait a little Sades! You look gorgeous” Lucy beamed with excitement.

I could hear them downstairs as she let him in my house. I was nervous. Suddenly very nervous. I have never actually been on a real date before, unless prom with Sebastian counted? I feel like I should have gotten a practice run.

I should have just went to the door when he arrived and all I could focus on was how excited I was. But I was left alone with my thoughts and now I am freaking out. What if I mess it up terribly? What if I get food in my teeth? What if I bend over and my dress rips, it is suddenly feeling ridiculously tight. Oh goddess I can’t breathe. I start pacing. My strappy black sandals burning a hole through the floor.

“Umm Sadie, it's been way past the making him wait time and we can hear you pacing.” She took in the horror of me hyperventilating “What's wrong?”

I start word vomiting all of my worries and fears and some new ones that didn't even cross my mind until I was saying them out loud. I start waving a hand in my face to try to return some of the air to my lungs. She smacks me! Lucy smacked me.

“What the f**k!?” I asked.

“Hey that actually worked! You aren't losing it anymore!” She says staring at her hand as if it hold magical powers. “I am sorry but Sadie that man downstairs did all this to give you the perfect date, he obviously loves you. I did not shop for two hours for you to wimp out. Stop worrying so much! You can do this! Now go melt that alpha's heart and turn his brain into mush!”

She was right I can do this! I took a deep breath slowly releasing it and grabbed my denim jacket. I exited my bedroom making my way down the stairs. Trying so hard to focus on making each step so I don’t trip, fall and embarrass myself even more.

My breath caught when I saw the site of him. He was wearing black jeans that sculpted his thighs and hugged his hips. A white fitted tee clung to his chest and was covered by a light wash denim jacket. His black hair was pushed back away from his face. When my eyes settled on his I could see them scanning my body, his eyes filling with lust.

“See something you like?” I asked.

“You have no idea.” He said his voice sounding husky.

I heard Lucy’s mini celebration behind me, I turn to give her a small wave losing my balance in the process and go falling off the last stair. Davin's warm hands catch me by the waist steadying me. Smooth Sadie! I mentally face palm myself. Davin just smiles at me.
