Chapter 51: Reborn?

Aki's Point of View

As soon as he opened his eyes, Aki knew that he was in the human realm and that he was a human. He was on a bed. He stood up and checked his surroundings. After walking around for a while, he found that he was in a two bedroom apartment with a master bedroom with a toilet attached, a guest bedroom, a kitchen, a living room and another toilet in the hallway. There also was a balcony from the master bedroom. 

As he walked into the living room, there was an envelope on the dining table. It was addressed to him. He opened it and there were several papers and an identity card. On the identity card, there was his photo, his name, and his age on it. He was 25 years old.

The papers included the apartment lease, where he was 'supposedly' working and his bank account details.

Aki was both impressed and overwhelmed by how the Heaven had arranged all of it.

He took the papers in his hand and went to sit on the sofa. His thoughts were suddenly filled by Rin. He hoped that she was fine. He was not sure if he should go and visit her. However, he decided against it. He thought that it would be useless since she did not even know him. Aki felt sad. 

He had felt the emotion before but now that he was a human with a beating heart, he was starting to understand what it meant to love someone. Especially when the person you love had no idea that you exist. 

Aki let out a sigh and then started to get ready for work. 

Will he ever get to see Rin? Was it a far-fetched hope? Or was it something just around the corner?
