Haru's Point of View
His grandfather looked at Haru's father. His face grew stern and spoke, "You did not tell Haru what he needs to know about visions and now you interrupt me when I am talking with him? What is so important that you had to disturb us at this moment?"
Haru's father remained silent for a while with his head down.
He spoke after a few seconds. "I am sorry for disturbing father. I knew you would be talking about visions. So I thought it would be the right time to tell Haru about what happened when I was the vision holder and why I did not tell him everything we know about visions."
Haru's grandfather's stern face became calmer and he smiled.
"That is good. You should tell Haru about everything you have experienced. We failed. And because of this Haru is burdened. You know that with every failure, the burden increases as the ability is passed down. We could not protect Haru from this burden. The least we can do is tell him everything we know so that he can succeed."
Haru's father replied, "Yes father."
His grandfather spoke again, "However for the moment, you can leave us. I have something else to tell Haru and I can feel that Haru wants to know something. His eyes tell me that."
Haru was surprised. His grandfather and he were close in the past but he did not expect him to know that he had questions.
His father nodded and left the room.
Then once again, his grandfather started speaking.
"I have something to tell you but before that, you can ask me what you want to know."
Haru took a deep breath and answered, "I have visions when I sleep and I can somehow distinguish it from a dream." His grandfather nodded.
Haru continued, "But there was something else. There was a strange force that told me to do something. What was it?"
His grandfather looked at him and his face clearly showed that he was startled.
He started speaking and Haru was not expecting what his grandfather told him.
