"I knew you were hiding something," Evelyn smirked.
"So you are a white wolf, what else do you have hidden in your closet?" She snarled.
I could feel my eyes changing color as Snow was about to take dominance, but I managed to keep her in check. She didn't like the way Evelyn was disrespecting her.
Evelyn moved closer to me and whispered in my ear, "Watch your back," before she left the woods, adding that she would never accept me as her Luna.
I raised my hands and wiped my face. Of all people to see me, it had to be Evelyn. I knew it wouldn't be long before the rest of the pack found out.
"I should have shown her who she was talking to," Snow said as Evelyn left.
"No need for that" I replied her
So I returned to my room feeling a bit restless and decided to take a bath to take my mind off it.
I was excited for the start of my Luna's training tomorrow.
As I was sitting in the living room, an angry-looking Sebastian walked in.
"What's wrong, Sebastian?" I asked.
"Nothing much, dear," he answered.
"You can't tell me nothing is wrong with the expression on your face," I said.
He looked at me and sat me down. "Noah and I have been dealing with rogue issues, and they keep entering our pack even after we tightened the border," he said.
"Don't stress yourself too much about it. I'm sure you'll figure something out," I said.
"Why not try to put more pack guards aside from the main border entrance?" I suggested.
"Yes, thanks. We'll do that," he answered.
"Alright, then go and take a shower and calm yourself down," I said.
"Alright, boss," he teased, and I laughed.
As Sebastian went to take a shower, I decided to prepare a small dinner of macaroni and cheese.
"The food looks good, dear," Sebastian said as he sat and pecked my forehead.
We ate and I washed the dishes. I decided to sleep early because tomorrow was going to be a long day.
"Oh, God, I fell asleep," I hurried up and went straight to the bathroom.
"Sebastian had better have a good reason as to why he didn't wake me up," I said to myself.
Once I was done bathing, I rushed to the closet and took a simple outfit.
I wore long blue jeans and a purple top with stars on it, paired with black sneakers and rushed down to Anna's house, praying that she wouldn't be annoyed.
As I knocked on the door, a smiling Anna came to open it. "Thank goodness she's not angry," I said to myself and gave her a hug. I knew she was a hugger since the day I came to visit.
"Come in, Sebastian already said that you would be late," she said.
"So he didn't wake me up intentionally," I thought to myself.
"I'm sorry I'm late, I didn't know I would fall asleep like that," I said.
"No problem, my dear. Let's get to work," she said.
"Today we won't be going into details, we'll just discuss the basics. The first thing you need to know is that as a Luna, you are the mother of the pack.
At the same time, you are a partner to the Alpha, which means you'll help in discussing decisions and leading the pack.
You're also the head of the kitchen, which means you must check in on the kitchen staff from time to time."
"You must be respected and that means you must be in your best behavior at all times".
"You are also supposed to be there to welcome new pups to the pack, so if any of your female members are pregnant it is your duty to go show them some support".
" And in the worst case scenario if there was an attack on the pack, your pack members, especially the young and old, should be prioritized".
"And the most important thing is you and your mate bond must be strong, there must be trust between you two unless it will affect the growth of the pack".
I kept on listening and taking notes of everything she said. The information was a lot but it was what I expected.
"Let me end it here for today," She said.
"Alright, Anna thanks for today" I said to her.
After we rounded up our session we went to the kitchen to bake cookies.
I was whisking the eggs when Anna asked me about my childhood.
I remembered how I used to sleep with hunger, how I worked all day and ate just one meal a day.
I remembered how I was called names because I couldn't shift. I remembered how I had no one to talk to.
I remembered how I was treated like dirt because of something that was beyond me.
Anna moved closer to me and wiped away the tears I hadn't even realized were there.
"Don't worry, it's all in the past now"
You have a beautiful wolf, you've met your mate, and you have people like me who love you." She said
That's when I realized how much I had grown since I left the Black Moon pack.
A smile spread across my face and I said, "Now I have an amazing family." We finished baking cookies and ate them, then Sebastian came to pick me up.
I asked him why he hadn't woken me up, and he said he didn't want to disturb me because I was sleeping so peacefully.
I thanked him for his kind gesture and asked him to wake me up next time.
As we got home, Sebastian said he might have found something related to my parents.
I asked if he had found them, and he said he thought he might have.
For the first time in a long time, I was closer to finding my parents.
I said to myself, "I'm closer to finding my parents."
I just hoped it would be good news though
