“What’s so scary about it?” Ashley said. “It’s amazing.”
“Yeah, you can say that because you’re in love. I have never felt like this before and I have no idea how to act, what to say. What should I do?” I cried and placed my head in my hands.
“Aw, hun,” Ashley cooed, and she started rubbing my back in soothing motions. A warmth landed on top of my hand, and I realised Michael had placed his hand on my own in an attempt to comfort me. “I know this must be strange, considering you have sworn off love for so long. But embrace it; it will be a wonderful experience.”
