No one __________ By some miracle, the twins arrived before sunset at the hotel. After they got directions from the locals to a car rental. Adrenaline still pumping through them at the discovery that they stumbled on. They quickly made their way to their room to start packing, not sure what to believe in anymore. "Make sure to get these papers Cassia they're important!" Shouted Cassius to his sister, as they barged through the door. Cassia locking it after they entered Their fear still being a large part of their actions, not having a clear mind to think properly. "I got them!" Shouted Cassia as she started to pack their stuff. They closed the curtains that led to the balcony with a beautiful ocean view. Cassia was still a bit unhappy that they cut their trip short. Her brother sat at the small table with his laptop typing at fast speeds, while she ran all over their hotel room, picking up their stuff. Letting her brother focus on what he was doing. "f**k!" She heard her brother shout from the bedroom, as she quickly went to check on him. Only to see him with his laptop slammed shut and his head in his hands, clearly panicking. She made her way to his side as she crouched down to calm him down as she fretted over him. "Cassius what's wrong. You're worrying me." He mumbled something inaudible. "You gotta raise your voice." "There are no planes available until tomorrow morning." He said as he looked at her, fear grabbing at his heart. While Cassia face turned pale, as to how they were to survive the night. Cassia ____________ " It's only a night Cassius. We can do it." I told him, even though it was clear that he didn't believe me. Probably saying it for my sake rather than his, trying to raise his hopes. He could see that I was trying to hold myself together for his sake, as he had a face of worry as he looked at me. After they escaped their dreaded family the twins only had each other to look after. Cassius always worried for Cassia, knowing that their family was still out there looking for them. One of his greatest fear was that they find them, and separate them from each other. All I could do now was hope that we can escape in the morning. We stayed at the table for a few hours until I checked the windows. Only to find the last light shining through the clouds, as it bathed the sky with its colors before setting. The moon came out, scattering the stars through the inky darkness. Its iridescent light shining on me, as I only looked at it in fear, which once brought me peace. I dared to hope while turning my head to my brother to see that he was taking a nap from the sheer exhaustion. I let him sleep leaving him to his dreams as I watched over him. No one ___________ A few hours passed as it came close to morning. The room was in complete silence as Cassia watched the hours tick on the clock filling the silence of the room. She began to fear the darkness around her , as memories of the past played into her head and needed the support of her brother. She went over to the mohgany table and carefully shook him awake from his sleep.Cassius woke up a bit frazzled as he looked around the room a bit disoriented, as his eyes adjusted. "What time is it?" He called out to his sister "It's almost 2 am." Cassius looked at his scared sister and instantly new what was wrong. He didn't waste a chance before walking up to her and moving her to his arms. He hugged her close and he could feel her anxiety drip off her. He stayed like that for a while as he began to let his guard down a bit. Daring to feel same in the calm atmosphere. At that moment the windows which led to the balcony bashed open. His sister screaming in fear, as he prepared to run. He headed straight to the door but in an instance, the room was filled with a few people that were in the throne room. He recognized them the moment saw their faces. They were blocking every exit as he tried to find a way out. It was useless there was no way out of that room. Accepting their fates he could feel his sister shaking in fear, as the tremors passed through her. He could see the cruel smiles on their faces. He knew they were trying to make him fear them, but he only stared at them with a defiant look. They were waiting for someone. Suddenly all of them bowed on one knee, as the kings entered the room through the window. Their capes billowing out from behind them, as their presence instantly filled the room. Like they commanded all of their submission and obdience without saying a word. They only had to glance their way. All the twins could think of was how ethereal they looked with their royal clothes that reflected the light of the moon from behind them, but at the same the time the blue and dark hues made them blend into the shadows of the night. Anyone could tell that they were expensive and tailor made as it fit them to a t. They could feel the stares of the kings, as they bore into them, studying them with intense scrutiny. From what Cassius could see they also had a hint of curiosity in them and that is what confused him. What would make them curious about them. "So you are the humans that got away," Aurelius said as he cut the silence. The tension building up in the room, as he playfully moved his hands "But I gotta say that was a first for us." "Brother stop playing with our food. Just get this over with." Marcus said irritated by them as he looked over to him. "Brother please have some patience," Aurlias said in a mocking tone as he continued to stare at them, as his hand moved to his hips. In a blink of an eye, Aurelius and Remus were standing in front of them. Cassius tried to take a step back with his sister but was stopped by the hulking figure that blocked their way. Marcus had been able to get behind them without noticing, but it would have done much of a difference if they were aware. They were so fast that their eyes couldn't keep up with their movement, so how did they even have a chance. Cassius could see that Remus ripped his sister out of his arms, as Marcus restrained him from behind. He felt the velvet smooth cloth that didn't help with the cool sensation "CASSIUS!!" his sister cried out as she finally registered that she was ripped out of his arms. Cassius felt so helpless as he couldn't even move. "Let my sister go!" He desperately tried to get out of the steel grip encasing him, but it was useless. "Both of your scents are so unique little one. What are you?" Aurelius said as he grabbed his jaw to look directly at him. Moving his head up so he could stare into his eyes. Cassius flinched at the cold fingers that gripped his face. He could see that his petite sister was still trying to resist in Remus's arms. Doing everything in her power as she tried to hit, struggle, and even wiggle out of the hold. He could see Remus throughly amused by his sister's struggles knowing that shell never be able to get out. The smirk on his face as he looked down to his sister "We're Humans!" Cassius said through gritted teeth. He defiantly held his gaze to the red eyes that stared directly at him. "I don't like being lied to little one I guess your sister is gonna have to be punished for your wrongdoings," Aurlias said in a mocking tone as he let his face go and turned to Cassia. "NO! YOU LEAVE MY SISTER ALONE!" Shouted Cassius to Aurlias. All Cassius could feel was the pure fear he had for his sister. The fear of being useless. The fear of her being in danger and the most important one was the fear of losing her. He felt the rush of power crashing into him like a wave. Aurlias was stopped by a force that held him back from Cassia, as he came near her. No matter what anyone would do they all struggled to even get close to her. The only one that wasn't pushed back was Remus. While they all stared in pure shock from what was happening. Especially Remus and Cassia as they were cased in the invisible bubble. Even Cassia didn't know what was going on with her brother. Aurlias looked back at Cassius with a shocked look on his face, as his brother stared down at him. Only to see his eyes glowed brightly in the dark lit room. They could feel the power that was radiating from him. It was a suprise to the brothers, as never had anyone been able to hold them back. Not even the Queen mage could do it. The power that was needed to even stop them for a bit, bad to be immense. The reason being from how ancient they were. Normal mage against them was useless from how powerful they were, so how on earth was he able to do it. This only caused them to be more interested in the twins, and what they were. Twins where one soul split into two in the supernatural world as it signified something much greater. The power and unity that there souls had with each other. That bonding which couldn't be broken made them a rarity. To the point where when one twin died the other was soon likely to follow. It was clear they would have to take both of them back to the Castle, but not before tasting their blood. Blood was an important factor in the supernatural world and the most sacred. It was used in so many rituals and spells. It was what bonded some people to each other and gave sustenance to them. No matter what anyone could do you could not hide your true self, from the blood that ran through you. The one where you ancestors passed on who you where and your heritage. All through your blood. All Cassius could feel after that was the stinging bite on both sides of his neck, as he let out a sound of pain. He could feel the blood draining out of him. He tried to struggle but he could only feel himself beginning to grow weaker and weaker. The last thing he saw before the darkness overtook him was his sister calling out weakly to him. Struggling to get to him as Remus sucked out her blood not even looking at his brothers. He was only enamored with Cassia and her blood, as he kept sucking more. The king's people could only stare in shock at them. It was the first time someone's blood called out to them, as they could see they lost some of their control and their instincts guide them instead. Their red eyes were wide with shock as the kings stared at the twins when they were finished. Without saying a word they held them carefully in their arms in a bridal way. Their mouths were still stained with their blood, as they walked out of the room and disappeared into the night. Their people following them along. _____________ I'm sorry this is a bit short, but I wanted to finish this important scene. I promise that they'll be longer chapters after this. It would mean the world to me if you comment and tell me what you think. Hope you liked the chapter
