School came along shortly after. I mean, obviously stuff like this happens. Just when life is going great, something has to come in the way and be like 'Ha, you thought.' Anyway, I decided I would walk to school today, since I had nothing better to do. (After chasing Caleb yesterday, my 'TV privileges' got taken away - which is kinda stupid since I only sprained his ankle.) Once I got ready for the day, I decided to leave and start walking. I walked out saw Luke leaning against his car, typing something on his phone. "What're you doing? Aren't you supposed to be getting ready for school?" I asked, wondering. Luke looked up and grinned when he saw me. "Aren't you?" He asked, still grinning. He walked forward a bit, towards me. "Hey! You can't answer a question with another question!" I claimed. "Well, I decided to wake up early so that I wouldn't miss you. I want to take you to school today." He told me. I looked away and felt my face heat up. The moment I turned my head back I saw Luke right in front of me. "Let's go." I suggested. I was about to walk towards his car, when I felt his hand grab my arm. He pulled me back to him, so that I collided into his chest. "You forgot something." He told me. Confusion filled my face. What was he talking about? "What did I forget?" I asked. "This." And with that, Luke leaned in. And shortly after his lips met mine. ** "You're telling me all of this happened in the space of a week?" Anna questioned me. Basically, what happened was, after Luke dropped me off, I got out the car and we kissed. Anna, who I didn't realize was across the car park, saw the whole. As soon as Luke went inside the school building, Anna decided to question me on what just happened. I explained everything to her, bringing us to this current moment in time. "Yep. I'm still quite surprised myself." I admitted. "So, are you his girlfriend now?" Anna asked me. And that's when I realized he never actually asked me. We've kissed, hugged and went on dates, but we're not official. "No." I told her. "What? How come? I thought you said that you both confessed to each other, so why aren't you two together yet?" Anna asked the exact same question I was asking myself. "He hasn't asked me to be his girlfriend." I told her. "Ah. I see. So why don't you make the first move? Why don't you ask him to be your boyfriend instead of waiting on him to ask you?" Anna suggested. And that thought stuck with me for the entire day. ** I had to go home with Anna after school, since Luke said he has to go home as soon as possible. Me being kept back by a teacher for ten minutes might also be part of the reason. Thank you so much for ruining my opportunity to ask the guy I'm crazy for, to be my boyfriend. This is exactly why you are a well liked teacher, Mr. Duncan. That's right, I decided I would ask Luke to be my boyfriend. Maybe he's too scared to ask himself, or he's waiting on me to make the first move. After all, he's the one confessed first. Right now, I'm sitting in my room, snuggled up in a blanket, wearing my slippers and trying to figure out how to ask him. That was until I heard a beep coming from my phone. I thought it was Anna, so I contemplated whether I should ask her for advice. After all, she's the one with a boyfriend. However, my heart skipped a beat when I realized it was a message from Luke. Ma crazy friend Lucas: Can you come over? I need help with the History assignment xx As soon as I received the message, I immediately ripped the blanket away fro me and changed my shoes - so instead of wearing bunny slippers, I was wearing my brown UGG boots. I ran out of my house and walked towards the Parker house. I decided I would ask him while we were working on the History assignment together. I was really nervous, but someone's got to make the first move. Or, second move. I knocked on the door, and I was greeted by Luke's mom. "Hi, Ms. Parker. I'm here to help Luke with his History assignment." I told her. "He's just upstairs, dear." The blonde woman smiled at me. I walked inside when I heard her mutter something. "I thought Lucas was good at History. How strange." I decided to let that slip my mind. I walked up to his room and opened the door. My eyes bulged out their sockets when I saw the sight in front of me. There were blue orchids - my favourite flowers in the entire world - on his bed, accompanied by a box of chocolates next to them. Next to the bed was Luke, and he was standing up, holding up a bear that was holding a heart pillow. On the pillow, it read 'You And Me - Always'. "Is this too much? I talked to Miles and Adam earlier, and they say girls like big surprises like this. Anyways, er, Riley. I love you. I fell in love with you the moment I met you. I remember it exactly. You wear wearing a pink rose dress, and you wore a blue bow with it. I remember while we were playing with my cars, you got too exited and the bow clipped out of your hair. You didn't realize though. "What I'm trying to get at is, I've had very little hope you would feel the same I did. But that night at your cousins wedding, that slim chance that you wouldn't just reject me came to me. And I took it. I'm in love with you, Riley. It's taken me twelve years to say, but here it is. I finally plucked up enough courage to say what I feel." He chuckled before taking a deep breath. "Will you be my girlfriend, Lee?" Tears flooded my eyes all throughout his speech. I was speechless. I ran up to him and kissed him. It was a gentle kiss, as if we were scared we were going to break each other. "I'd love to be your girlfriend." I told him once I pulled away. I looked straight into his eyes, and he looked straight at mine. "I love you, Riley Evans." Luke whispered to me. "I love you too, Lucas Parker." And with that, we began kissing again.
