Tuesday passed quite quickly. I woke up, got ready for school, went to school, regretted being at school, came home, ate my dinner, blah blah blah..
Nonetheless, it's now Wednesday. Which means, Luke's coming over. I told him he's sleeping on the couch all this time, since all other places are preoccupied.
I may or may have not given him the bathroom as an option too.
I was sitting on my bed, eating Pop Tarts and watching videos on my phone when Luke came in.
He had his backpack on one shoulder, while other shoulder was too busy relaxing at his side.
"You didn't even warn me." I pouted.
"Yes, and?" He grinned.
"Well, best friends tell each other everything." I told him.
I watched as his face fell for a quick second before the grin returned again.
I didn't exactly friend-zone him, since he is my best friend. My point isn't really being made right now.
Why am I trying to convince myself anyway?
Because you don't want to look like a hypocritical loser.
Well, I didn't really, because if I called him a friend, wouldn't that be putting him in the friend-zone? I mean, he isn't my boyfriend (sniff sniff), so my point wouldn't be made of I said:
But Luke's tell each other everything.
Ugh. Someone please tell me why I was trying to convince myself over something I understand, yet I don't seem to. OK, now I'm perplexed.
"Are you alright, Lee?" Luke asked.
I blinked. Once. Twice. Thrice. Then I nodded. I didn't even realize I zoned out.
"Yep, I'm perfectly OK." I smiled at him, while he looked at me as if I were crazy. "So, did you get any food for me?" I added on to divert the mood.
"Well, my mom did invite her sister, so she did buy food. And.." Luke trailed off.
I was getting impatient, only to realize he just spoke. I was trying to peek as he opened his bag and started looking through it until he brought out a grey beanie. In it, was cookies, and a uncooked bag of popcorn. Along with that, there was a small blue wallet.
"What's that for?" I asked.
"Well, what does a wallet hold? I decided to bring some money, just in case we needed it for our extended sleepover." Luke told me.
Then it hit me. Why did Luke decide to come over to my house, if he has Miles and Adam? I mean, I know he's known me longer, and I live right next door - making it easy for his mom to check up on him in case she worries, but other than that, there isn't a reason.
OK, maybe that's a massive reason. Actually, reasons.
"Do you want to watch a movie?" I asked, having to divert my mind to something else.
"Actually, I have something better we can do."

It was now nine in the night. Luke and I were laying down inside the fort we decided to build out of pillows and blankets. I used Caleb's nightlight (which was a blue light that reflected stars on the ceiling - in our case, the top of the fort) for the source of light, since it's not like you can place a light bulb or a window in a pillow and blanket fort.
I felt Luke look at me, so me being me I looked back at him.
"So, do you think we should be looking into the building career?" He asked.
I giggled and nodded.
"Well, I mean, with this type of skill, obviously." I went along with his joke.
He chuckled to himself before looking intently at me.
I started mentally hyperventilating.
But that's when he looked back up at the top of the blanket, where all the star lights were displayed.
"This is going to be a really cool sleepover."
