I stared blankly ahead of me, trying to process what Luke just confessed.
Oh. My. Cheese balls.
I can't believe it. Is he actually telling me the truth? It's not like him to lie, but it's not like he loves me, right?
I started laughing after that, just in case he was kidding around. He said he wasn't, but I wasn't about to risk humiliation. Surprisingly, instead of Luke joining in, he scrunched his eyebrows together, before placing his hands over his face.
He mumbled something, which I couldn't comprehend.
"Huh?" I asked, accidentally saying the one things I specifically told my brain not to ask.
"This is what I get for finally listening to Adam and Miles." He mumbled a little louder.
My eyes widened.
"W-What do you mean?" I stuttered.
I'm surprised I was able to breath at that moment in time. I was pretty sure I needed life support to keep my alive, and a wheelchair to carry on walking.
"They told me I should tell you at the wedding. Now look what happened. I knew I shouldn't have listened to them. They kept bugging me about it all the time. Just ignore it." Luke finally removed his hands from his head and met my gaze.
If he can confess, then maybe I should to. Maybe I should let him know all hope isn't gone.
"Why?"
One of his eyebrows shot up, as Luke gave me a questionable look.
"What do you mean? Please, Lee. Just forget about it. Please. I don't want this ruining our friendship." He begged me. "We should get back." He added on, getting up.
I took his arm, and with all the strength my tiny little arm had (not really), I pulled him back on the bench. He sat down with a loud thud.
I looked at him. He looked at me. My heart was racing, going at a speed faster than light.
I started leaning in, and so did he. After we were in a near proximity to each other's faces, he closed his eyes.
"I love you too, Lucas." I whispered before closing my eyes and meeting his lips.
His lips were really soft and welcoming. I accidentally opened my mouth (totally) and so did he, making that tiny peck go into an actual kiss. No tongue was involved, since that would've been too far. Luke's hands went around my waist as he pulled me closer to him. I put my hands around his neck, causing him to come closer to me. I then put my hands in his hair, tugging on it. A gentle moan came out his mouth - such a sound I wouldn't mind hearing again.
Eventually, we pulled away from each other, so we could breathe.
He looked at me and grinned. I smiled back at him. Luke then stood up and took my hand. A volcano erupted in my stomach as our hands made contact. I still couldn't bring myself together - I kissed Lucas Parker!
"Let's go." He told me.
I nodded, taking his hand. I started walking with him towards the tent, hand-in-hand.

"Andrea, my niece, I'm so happy for you. I still remember the memories, when you used to say how in twenty years you wanted a puppy, two children and a loving husband. Here you are, filling out one of them..." My mom started her speech.
Luke and I returned to the table, sitting down next to each other. My mom was giving her toast, meaning everyone was quite and the dancing stopped for a while.
Since Caleb was sitting near me, I couldn't cuddle Luke or anything. (Even though I'm sure I wouldn't do that anyway; telling him I love him took all my confidence away.) However, we did hold hands under the table.
Without acknowledging it, Luke rubbed his thumb against my palm, as if he was soothing an injury that was on my hand.
"...Congratulations, Andrea and Matt. Best of luck for your future life journey." My mom finished off. She drank a bit of her champagne, before raising it and sitting down.

Eventually, everyone said something, so dancing came back on. A Drop In The Ocean by Ron Pope came on.
"Wanna dance?" I heard my favourite voice say.
I nodded smiling, then I took his hand.
Luke took me to the middle of the dance floor, before wrapping his hands around my waist as I wrapped my hands around his neck - reminding me of the kiss.
How I would like to repeat it.
A drop in the ocean,
A change in the weather,
I was praying that you and me might end up together...
"So, what made you tell me?" I asked, looking at him.
His green eyes met my brown orbs. He looked away, but then looked back at me
"Adam and Miles made me consider telling you. I finally decided I would tell you, I just haven't decided when. The wedding is a perfect place, since two people finally get together for life, right?" He told me.
I nodded, putting my head on his shoulder.
"How long?" I whispered.
"Ever since I first laid eyes on you." Luke confessed.
My eyebrows shot up. This long and he's liked me? I mean, I have too, but I wasn't so discrete about it.
"But--"
My head removed itself from his shoulder, and I decided to focus on his eyes once again.
"I know, it didn't seem like it. I tried getting over it, by dating back in middle school. Didn't work, though."
"Oh." Was all I managed to say.
"Do you actually love me?" He asked, removing his arms from my waist, deciding to put them on my shoulders instead.
"Yeah. Since the day I met you." I confessed.
He smiled.
"Good to know it wasn't one sided back when I barley knew my times tables." He joked.
I giggled. Then everything stopped. In my brain, everyone disappeared, the music was playing in the background; it was only Luke and I in the room. My smiled faded away, and did his when he realized why I stopped feeling so giggly. He slowly started leaning in. I started leaning in as well. Eventually, our lips made contact. The kiss was softer and more passionate; if possible, better than the one we had on the bench.
We pulled each other after a long moment, a moment that felt like forever.
I wish it was.
"Lee, can I ask you something?"
Instead of teasing him by saying something like you just did like I usually did, I decided to reply with a serious attitude. Well, serious-ish.
"Shoot."
"Do you want to go on a date with me? A real one?"
And with that, he pulled me into a kiss, not giving me any time to reply. Even though he probably already knew my answer.
