I was several miles out when I saw the first patrol race their way back to town. As we came closer, I spotted a group of people gathering below. It was difficult to tell who they were, but also, I didn’t know anyone yet. All the scents were foreign to me except for Jace’s. Yet not one of them was Alejandro.
