Chapter 34

That question made my back straighten. “It's— uhm . . .” roaming my eyes around, I can't find any words to say.  The train stopped making the people go into chaos going out. I stood up and looked at Seikatu who was intently staring at me.  “You— you can leave me from here. Thank you.” I bowed my head to him and stepped out of the train in a hurry.  If I tell him that it's for Souru, he might think he's still alive and I'm just hiding his brother or thinking of anything else. I reached my parent's house porch and saw the lights were already open inside, indicating my parents are home. I sighed.  I just hope I won't hear an unpleasant word, I had enough. Opening the main door, I look at the living room where I found nothing. Seems like they're already resting. I clap to turn the lights off and ascend to my room upstairs where I breathe so deep as my tiredness swallows me.  My room will always be my home, my solace, my sanctuary. It's where my peace is. But then the ocean calms me more. It's just that we're far from it and I can't go there every time I want. Dozing off, I feel asleep on the couch, unable to do anything or to even take a bath. I woke up feeling groggy and aching. My back, shoulders, and neck are aching. Opening my eyes, I realized that I'm still on the couch and still wearing my uniform. I sigh— What time is it? I get my phone and it's eight in the morning on Saturday. I sighed. It's Saturday, thank goodness, I thought I'm running late for class.  Getting up while holding my phone I browsed my Photo gallery which made me smile like an i***t.  There are a bunch of new photos of me and Seikatu in there!  Sitting on my bed I tapped one and chuckled and did it until the very last photo. It makes me giggle and all but as I swipe on the screen, a short video appears! My pupils literally dilated and my mouth parted. Oh my god! That made me stand up and giggled until I'm stifling my scream on a pillow.  “Oh my goodness! Holy sheep! What the fur! Oh my! Oh my! Oh myyyyy!!!!!!!” my voice was muffled on the pillow. I watched the short clip again and giggled. My lips were smiling to my ear and I don't even know why! It's just that the clip made me like this! The video contains the incident on the train station where my face was just staring at Seikatu and he— and he looked back at me and stared at me two half a ruler apart! Oh my!  His eyes were so soft while staring at me and my stomach was in chaos! The video literally saw how his eyes roamed around my horrible face and how his Adam's apple moved! Oh my! Oh my! I repeated the clip again until my phone noticed it's low battery percentage. I toss it on the bed and scream on my pillow again. I'm beyond sure of my face being red! My cheeks are burning!  Feeling giddy with delight, I proceeded on to my bathroom and scrubbed every inch of me with a smile. I'll go to Souru today to show him how his brother smiled! —with me! My subconsciousness added. Wearing a black jump skirt, a plain white T-shirt and a white sneakers, I got my white round Gucci sling bag and put my phone, purse, and two mini notebooks on it. Of course, I put a hairpin on my hair. I'm planning to study at the entrance of the forest while talking to Souru later. Or meet Seikatu too if there's a chance.  Feeling like this isn't bad after all. I feel stylish, girly, and free. I went to the living room without my outer skin— a jacket— and saw my father reading some thick book on the sofa. He looked at me as I arrived at the last step of the stairs. “I thought you'll study all day.” he said that made me bite my lip. Looks like I'll be in a sour mood if this goes on.  I nodded. “I'm planning to . . .outside.” the last word came out like a whisper. “Where are you going?” he asked and my mind thought of a place. I can't tell him I'm going to Aokigahara. My mother appeared from the dining area and looked at me with a smile. “You look lovely, dear.” She commented that it made me smile. “Going somewhere?” I nodded. “I'll be out to study.” that put a brighter smile on her face. “I'll be on a coffee shop at Metro with—” “Seikatu?” she assumed and I chose not to tell her more. My tongue might slip. “Be back early.” my father stated and laid his eyes back on the book. “Study well.” my mother said and I bowed at the two before leaving the house.  At least my mood didn't get sour unlike yesterday. I put my earpods on and hit the road to the station. What a great day this is. At the entrance of the forest, a smile crept on my lips as Souru waved at me from the near inside. I waved back too and he walked on to where I am.  “You look different today.” he commented upon seeing me wholly. I raised a brow. “Do I always look horrible?”  He chuckled and sat on the log where I followed. “You sure have a great sleep.” I shook my head. “It's entirely the other way around. I slept on my couch and all of me are aching now!” even ranting seems so cheerful to me. “Oh! I have to show you something!” I giggled. Unlocking my phone, I showed him the picture of his brother smiling— with me. A wide delighted smile slowly crept on Souru's lips as he looked at my phone's screen. “You drool in this photo.” he stated that made me glare. “I'm not! I look horrible but I'm not drooling over your brother!” I defended myself. “You look like a couple though.” he stated that made me flush and bit my lower lip. Copyright©2021 ItsMeYourDay Day Biasca
